@@yhonas I mean, you say that, but then you also use a quest helper plugin that turns every quest into a braindead game of "click the shiny blue thing". You're really cheating yourself out of a big part of the fun of this game by letting a plugin do the quests for you.
@sk8rdman what's different than watching a quest guide on youtube like every player did 17 years ago?
@@sk8rdman it's just different strokes for different folks. While the quests are fun, there are a lot of them and it would take forever to do them without a guide. They lock out 99% of the content so unless you are fine with only questing and some skilling for the most part as a new player, you will not get to do much else in the game.
My poor Bruma torch was lost to that crevice too. After I made that mistake, I updated the wiki to make it clear you'd lose it. Maybe they should just remove it from the wiki completely.

Love the risk taking to end that quest, we've all been thru that nice job getting thru the door quickly and not going panic mode!
For fishing trawler you can skip the buckets and the tar entirely. All you need is a hammer and an axe, and you chop the kraken that appears above deck and then repair the railing each time it retreats. This is much a much more chill method to get full anglers than using tar and bailing :)
you can chill at temp as long as its fun, fish barrel so good
Tempross has been great, been taking some cooking breaks too to get that up as well
Loving this series so far. Bring back dem noob days where i would sit at balck night castle collect the rune as they spawn with fear of getting pk.

AHHH I freaking love seeing you figuring out the game bit by bit :D It's so refreshing! Seeing the trial and error is such good content, don't feel pressured to learn everything too fast. Protection prayers are op btw :)

Hey man, Loving the series! Been waiting for your next episode! :) Few tips from one ex-WoW player to another... 💙
1) FEEDING YOUR CAT: Go and fish a bunch of "Karambwanji". They're a STACKABLE fish which you use to as bait when you want to fish Karambwans, but they're also the no.1 choice for feeding your cat as you can carry as many as you can catch in 1 inventory spot! (Also make sure you keep a bunch of these for when you eventually do Ratcatchers quest (that's all I'm gonna say on that, no spoilers for you :) )
2) The "rickety bridge", you can 100% guarantee success going over it, by opening the house options menu while crossing it (I don't understand the logic behind this either, but due to the spaghetti code that is OSRS, having the house options menu open will guarantee success on any agility check...(depending on your Agi lvl this may be worth banking in your memory for Mournings End Pt2 (looking forward to that episode mwahahaha).
3) FISHING TRAWLER: If you don't care about getting the pet, don't waste your money on swamp paste - Bring an axe and a hammer, sit on the top deck and just follow the crowd. When the kraken attacks, chop it, after it goes you can repair the barrier where it broke it for some tasty free construction xp. Do that until you have 50 contribution, then feel free to AFK - You only need 50 contribution to be eligible for a chance at a gear piece, getting more than that only increases the fish you get which won't matter at low lvl fishing, and getting 255 only benefits you if you want to get the pet by doubling the drop rate (to an eye watering 1/2500.....)

Enjoying the series man. Looking forward to the next episode. Also just wanna let you know- if you lost stuff on death you may be able to reclaim it by going into deaths domain. Theres an entrance in lumbridge graveyard (and nearby to every other respawn point).
We all know exactly why you lost your Bruma torch. Quest helper is great for speeding through quests if you are trying to min/max. But it also makes your brain reliant on "CLICK BLUE TEXT QUICKKK" and sometimes that ends up making you skip details you otherwise would have read in a guide or seen on a video. In quest helper's defence it does not say to use a Bruma Torch lmao

Your #1 priority should be to get your protection prayers, it doesn’t take long at all and will make stuff like this sooooo much easier and is a neccessity later on. Enjoying the series :)
Bruma Torching his own career
Overhead prayers (level 43 for protect melee) will make quests like these 1000 x easier. Plus you can use your ardy cape to restore prayer at the alter early on when you need it. The best way to train prayer early without a doubt it the wilderness bone yard. You can minigame teleport to clan wars and then walk from there. Kill rats outside of the ferox enclave for a looting bag, and then fill the bag and your inventory with big bones that spawn in the bone yard. From there you’ll want to walk/run to the chaos alter which is far north west in the wilderness. Destroy the looting bag at the alter to drop those bones, and use those and your inventory of bones on the alter. I’d take 10 or so food along with you for your first trip until you learn which monsters you’ll need to avoid along the way. With this you can get 43 prayer in under 3 hrs :) best of luck either way haha, enjoying the series. Oh and sorry for the back-seating lol, I just enjoy nerding out about osrs :D
You can do the fishing trailer with just an axe if you stay if the top half and help chop the tentacles, you don't need tar at all

For feeding cats i highly recommend fishing karambwanji at the lake just northwest of shilo village. You catch them very fast and they stack into 1 inventory slot
That’s what I do, and they’re insanely quick to gather and pretty afk. I’ll fish 20k at a time.

Take the readyforbattle pill. While questing, suit up in high defense equipment and a full inventory of food. Drop food as necessary for quest items as it gives them to you. You'll be walking a lot more but you'll be dying a lot less.
You can do trawler with just an axe and axe the tentacles. I love the series!

Should do Fairy Tails part 1 and 2 for fairy ring teleport unlocks, with your ardy cape you can teleport very close to the rings. Will make your travels even easier
Man, I love this series. I couldn't help but laugh when you called the rune chainbody a really good item. - You're not wrong, it is incredibly good for early game, but having played for 15 years, it gave me a little bit of a chuckle. Keep going! :D

You should try getting the rune pouch next, holds 15000 of 3 types of runes, can really help you save space for teleports

I love the series so far. Enjoying watching from a different perspective. I will say, I very much so believe that your music is way too loud compared to your voice. I love Sea Shanty 2 as much as the next guy, but it's downright distracting from being able to hear you. Maybe it's a me problem. I mean, it definitely is. I've not seen anyone else mention this.... Either way, I enjoy the videos and will continue to watch :-) thank you
While you are a low level, the bone yard in lv 32 wildy is a good place to get big bones and you can go to the chaos altar in the north west of the wildy lv 38. You get 3.5x exp and a 50% chance to not use the bone. You can go back and forth to get 43 prayer and less people will be able to PK you since you are lower CB. Also some pkers will let iron man go if you type since you are an iron man
Protect from melee would have solved so many of his problems 😂

@@yhonas It's a prayer you can use at level 43 prayer that stops melee damage from many NPCs by 100% (in PVP only 40%). There is also protect from mage and range that protect you from those combat styles as well. Also you can only use 1 of these protection prayers at a time. So when you start fighting enemies that use different combat styles you gotta use the right prayer with proper timing to block the damage.
Even though the ironman efficiency guide is great, it's not very beginner friendly, with high level quests being listed quite early, like Shilo village. I would recommend also referring to the "optimal" quest list in the quest helper plugin, which you're already using. It'll have quests more optimal for your skills/combat level, which I think will be a nicer 'first timer' experience. Cheers!

Yeahhh, shilo village is up there with tai bwo wannai trio and legend's quest for old mechanic jank. I don't know what it is about Karamja that attracts bad quests.
While barb fishing is efficient for xp/hour, as an ironman it's likely better fishing karambwans when you can

YOu should always go around with an emergency tele. (a one click tele in you inventory. Like a tablet.)
didnt see anybody say one of the npcs for trading in the cats in says that its for catching the rats that are in west ardy not killing them :)

Fishing is good. Sharks are great for food and not that hard to cook. Make sure to cook too!
As someone who has played for 20 years on and off now, whoever made you play iron right off the bat is an evil person
You should have definitely of learned how to do the basics with a standard account but hey, the reward will be better for you atleast this way
PS: always bring a few pieces of the best food you can with you when you’re questing, along with an emergency teleport. Always better to teleport out than die.
Also you should consider finishing the Grand Tree questline so you unlock the ability to use Spirit Trees for travel

You need overhead prayers asap my dude lol, better get some dragon bones and use em on the wildy altar at 40 wildy! I did that on my Ironman and it took me like 3 hours of safespotting green dragons that are north of ferox cave. Just used water strike on one that was safespotable by a tree, then ran the bones to the altar one inventory at a time once I got like 100+ish
That location at green dragons isn’t camped by PKers often; especially ones your level. The wildy altar is a different story however… but being there for one inventory of bones at a time shouldn’t be too bad
The xp bonus from skilling outfits save about as much time training a skill to 99 as it takes to get the outfit. Meaning they're effectively useless.

Anglers is a nice set though because you need it to fish minnows later and the spirit angler is nice for temp since you dont need to worry about bringing a rope

Get your prayer lvl up, if you get the sword prayer it will save you a lot of dying attempts XD

Yeah cats grow in three stages. Kittens take two hours to grow into a fat cat, and need attention/food every 15 minutes or so, which you no longer need to feed, and you can sell for the runes, but they can still catch rats. Fat cats turn into an adult/overgrown cat after four hours, which can no longer catch rats, and is just for decoration at that point, but you can also sell adult cats for runes too. But you never take followers/pets with you when doing boss fights. It's okay now you know. lol.
Whenever you have to do a quest in a jungle area, tell yourself that it's going to be extremely dangerous, there's so many ways to die in there and annoying puzzles etc, be very careful! Well I wish I could have told you that earlier...

Im shocked no one told you to get 43 prayer, its like one of the first things most ironmen get when starting a new account, it would have made those quests a lot easier. Go kill a few dragons and take their bones to the wildy chaos altar.

i started playing osrs after playing wow for the last 20 years, OSRS game design is mile ahead of wow. Makes me think wow could adopt some features.

I'm a bit shocked your friends have not recommended you to get 43 prayer for damage protection prayers yet. Ask them about it, as they are rather essential & opens up the game alot.
