I understand they were pitted against the Nuggets, but the Lakers deserve more scrutiny. They led every game at halftime and lost 4-1? That's a WILD indictment for a team imo

They could’ve been up 3-2 in the series we lost to 2 game winners losing those leads is a coaching issue no timeouts were called no rotations were made

@spoodyR3 Do you think them firing Darvin Ham is all the change necessary to go further w the same squad? I think they lack closeout personnel, beyond coaching

    • @kasey377
      @kasey377 2 місяці тому

@@spoodyR3I respectfully disagree. I see the point of the switched and stuff on defense, but offensive wise darvin ham did great. If his player shot better they would’ve won tbh. There was multiple times watching the games , where reeves was open and missed. WIDE OPEN I will add, and DLO being open and missing. It’s not like every shot they took was being smothered it was just bad shooting and I think the players should’ve been held more accountable. Defense wise idk much bout coaching but you are the smaller team and you can’t guard Murray jokic kcp and Gordon with the staff. They doubled jokic and Murray a lot which I didn’t think was a bad choice. But idk

    • @alexsmith3598

Honestly, the fact they could have won 4-0 is absurd. They definitely need criticism.
I think it's mostly Prince, DLo, and Ham to me, but you could add in LeBron and AD to me. Just always criticize the stars too for not managing the game I guess.
I even feel like I really hated the way AD played but nobody talked about it. Like he would get nowhere against Jokic, face up, and drive across the lane to a 200% contested falling away jumper. Like bro, pass out. Lol But he still played well enough to me that honestly, he and Bron only get the criticism in that they are the best players and should have calmed the seas. I think more of Prince and Russell getting heavy minutes and no production though.

if Embiid didn't flop, fall, and roll around on the ground 15x a game, he wouldn't get hurt so much. his foul baiting and pretending to be some waifish girl who can get pushed around by a 6ft 150 guy leads to situations where he puts unnecessary extra stress on his lower body by falling

@@slightexag jokic doesn't get injured because he's not athletic. Athletic players tend to have these nagging lower body injuries. Embiid also has to carry a heavier load on a night to night basis taxing his body. Not to mention jokic is a really skilled passer one of the best anyone has ever seen his passing leads to easier buckets and less work, while embiid is a good passer he is not on the level of his counterpart making him have to physically assert his dominance. Let's not pretend that being 7 ft 2 and moving the way he does is normal it looks insane sometimes and is a freak if nature in that regard.

@@christophercastellano6359 lower leg injuries come from stress and overworking the muscles, joints, etc. springey-ness is what goes first with athletic players and those kinds of players usually get hurt. the stress on the lower body (especially knees) from jumping is the reason why athletic guys often get injured. embiid falls down all the time which stresses his lower body. he would limit how much stress his legs had to endure if he stopped flopping on the ground like a fish. there's no reason embiid should be on the ground more often than the entire other team. jokic doesn't flop by falling down all the time and uses skill. as guys get older, skill matters more than athleticism. embiid needs to go in that direction and stop falling all the time if he wants to ever even sniff the conference finals

He only played like 30 something out of 40 something games before he got injured, like around 60% participation rate, and load managing to avoid hard away games and back to backs, but be fresh for Utah and Charlotte.
Then his knee gave in. Looking at his ppg from regular season is meaning less as he is never even close to 82 games. I respect Reggie Jacksons 10 ppg this regular season more than if Embitch had 50 ppg in his 40 played games.

@@ecab992 well I saw a lot of heat for Klay Thompson with his 0 points (and people saying Klay needs to sign for minimum, Klay needs to learn Chinese, etc)
and then D'Angelo Russell scored 0, and there were a billion comments going after him

I'm sorry but embiid needs to get traded and they should use the assets to build around Maxey. He refuses to get in shape and is perpetually gassed in the 4th quarter and in the playoffs. He can't stay healthy, it's time to stop saying "if he's healthy for a playoffs run" and start planning how you're going to adjust when he's not there in the playoffs

You can’t hate on Joe every playoffs he’s had bad situations after bad situations (Ben Simmons, James harden, and kawhi’s game winner) they gotta find some kinda fluid offense end of the games were give it to Joe or give it to Tyrese no one else did anything. Joe isn’t the joker move the ball cmon

Well, he’s an MVP (but I guess you can’t blame him for that. He didn’t overrate himself)

All due respect kenny. When it comes to the sixers you don't really know what you're talking about. So maybe do a little more research. Just saying that they chose Tobias over Jimmy proves that. Everyone who follows this team closely knows that isn't what happened.

"Embiid hasnt made the conference finals" he ALSO hasn't taken up more cap space than Tobias Harris until THIS YEAR but you and all ignorant Embiid haters never bother to think about that. Tobias was SO bad and SO expensive, they literally COULD NOT get rid of him for 5 full seasons. Michael Jordan never had a JAG making $35mil on his team for half a decade. That's THE NUMBER ONE PROBLEM in Embiid's career and its not close. How TF can they build a team around him when 1/3 the cap is going to Tobias Harris?
You should be better than this, Kenny.
