- New York Giants owner John Mara warned Giants GM Joe Schoen about potentially losing star RB Saquon Barkley to the Philadelphia Eagles, which ended up happening. Mara said he would “lose sleep” if Barkley went to the Eagles. Colin Cowherd says the body language shown on Hard Knocks was “very bad” for the Giants, and he discusses the comments made by former Las Vegas Raider Josh Jacobs about their lack of results.

Because of the history of the fact that the late Al Davis sued the NFL back in the 80s and won. They are still bitter about raider nation. Without Washington scoundrel, Jon gruden was used as a sacrificial lamb. I mean those emails were way before gruden was hired. The NFL knew about it. This is a violation of the first Amendment. Yes gruden used some sexist comments in his emails. They try to say they're gruden was racist and he's not. Every black player who played under gruden said that he is not racist. Yes we don't have burden anymore but we got Antonio Pierce. Antonio Pierce may not be a play caller or anything but he brings out the best out of the players. As a Raider fan I'm still optimistic. There's still a glimmer of hope I felt like we won the super bowl when we fired Josh McDaniels though

Ap is a likable guy and they have good players that ppl like but the fact of the matter is APs the 4th best coach in that division and they have at best the 3rd best QB in the division. The path to that team winning is a miracle. Not hate just reality

I think the Raiders could surprise. They got the weapons on Offense, and a very good O-Line, with good D. The raiders did beat KC last year, with Pierce as coach. I liked their draft. If Minshew can play like he did in Indy last year, or O'Connell takes a step forward, this could be a dangerous team.

He says he doesn't like the Raiders, then lists a bunch of reasons that absolutely were the case before McDaniels got fired. The only point he could come up with relevant to the current team is APs debt do to a business deal in which he was most likely a silent investor. Ohhh, sick burn dude!
The fact is since McDaniels's departure not only the (circus) management has changed, but the entire culture. Under AP they had a winning record for the last half of the season and were competitive in every game. Who was the last team to beat the Super Bowl Champion Chief's? It was the Raiders on Christmas day. Then this year they added Christian Wilkens to bolster an already elite defense and had a good draft. Sure there are questions on offense like whether O'Connell or Minshew can step up and be a franchise QB, and if Luke Getsy will prove to be a good OC. But I think any reasonable analysis of the Raiders will put them as finishing 2nd in the AFC West this year.

I honestly like what the giants did, they’re ATTEMPTING to build the right way. Signed OL, acquired burns to get after the QB. That’s how you build a winning team, the trenches, not running backs and safeties. The GM’s job is to build a winning team, not sign aging running backs. And yes signing Daniel jones was dumb, but quarterback is a value position, not running back. & if you can’t block for Daniel jones, nothing else matters

You can do both though. Saquon isn't even that expensive. Eagles signed him, gave both wrs big deals, also gave 2 OL big deals, signed CJGJ, and a plethora of other FAs. Don't act like signing Saquon would've stopped them from rebuilding or making big moves
Not saying the Raiders aren’t a dysfunctional team but we have pieces to put us into the playoffs and it may not be this year but we’re trying to change the culture and you can see it this offseason. Colin keeps glazing the Broncos and they ain’t beat us in years so I’m not worried about them lol
Honestly I think this team can make the playoff this year. We lost some very winable games last year because of mcdaniels. Also we improved a lot in the offseason.

Why is Collin valuing running backs so highly all of the sudden? Jacobs and Barkley are the most hot and cold players in the position. The 48ers never make the Super Bowl without their RB. The Buffalo Bills just drafted the Rookie of the YEAR at RB. Just because the League is now Low Balling RB by comparison to where they use to be hardly lowers their True Value. The REASON teams cannot keep leads is stupid Analytics and the refusal to properly set up their TEAM when having a decent RB. A fully healthy Barkley will make a massive difference for the Eagles. But the NFC is still wide open. Lamar and Company have a LOCK on the AFC.

Really Collin? I've been a Giants fan for over 50 years. Trust me, if Ownership wanted to keep Barkley they would have made it happen. They made him Offer, he was never going to resign with the Giants. Here's a question, how was it working with Barkley on the team? Barkley is a stud player, however, let's be realistic they were losing with him. Anyone could see the Giants have several needs outside the running back position that must be addressed. That's what I hate about the media let's create drama for no reason. The Giants should have never agreed to Hard Knocks.
