Nigeria has 100's of languages and tribes, their cultures and society is so fragmented while Ghana society doesn't have as much tribal divisions but the only way Nigeria has been able to have a united front is because for several years they have been the scapegoat west Africa, they get blamed for Africa's negative stereotypes, so now they have a "us vs the world" mentality.
All the xenophobic sentiments against them just puts a chip on their shoulder, it's like they have something to prove. The more they get blamed for shit, the more they ginger their hustle the more to silence the haters.

When did Ghana even start comparing itself to Nigeria as in don’t you consider the size, population, resources, the magnificent diversity and exposure, the major challenge pulling Nigerians back in the face of global development is poor governance. Don’t get it wrong Ghana on its own is blazing it’s own path and doing great in several spheres of life but Nigeria will naturally achieve more because of those earlier mentioned factors. Healthy competition is good but these xenophobic-like gossips and attacks against Nigerians are just senseless and kind of barbaric, Africa need to go past this idea of hating fellow Africans just because they are more successful. If your brother is doing better than you, then learn and emulate, do not hate.

I work with a top telecoms company here in Nigeria and I was not employed as a high level staff 12 years ago...the position I am today, i worked to earn it and not by luck or bribe...So if you have Nigerians in Spotify, UA-cam, Twitter etc., making waves, its because they have worked hard and smart to earn their positions and not because they rigged their way there...many of them were employed from bottom levels and earned their positions gradually. Actually, it's not even them designing the algorithms. Nigerians love their own culture more. The biggest Ghanaian artists do dance hall which they have no hope of dominating on a global scale because dancehall belongs to Jamaica. Nigerians created Afrofusion and their people love it. This gets picked up by the algorithms which then helps managers take notice. So it all starts organically?

You can’t compare Nigerians who are known to be expressive, very sociable and proud of their culture that is big on festivities and parties with music and dance as important items on the line up of their events. People in diaspora long to attend Naija parties because of how fun they are. Even Naija churches are dance and musically fun, to Ghanaians that are always described to be less expressive or calmer and not very outgoing. In a nutshell Nigerian culture is centred around art, dance, music and a lot of festivities so the demand for music and entertainment is quite high with Nigerian entertainment consumers and they demand these irrespective of location.

My dear Ghanian brothers, sisters and Africans in diaspora, let me make this simple for you all as a Nigerian and a fellow African. There was an awakening that started in the late 2000 about the world becoming a global stage for all to future, which gave birth to the current globalization of the African music experience that we are experiencing right now in Africa and the world at large, which everyone is now scrambling for a fair share of this movement and the benefit that comes with it.
What we did as Nigerians is that we looked into our culture, our way of life and our story telling ability which is embedded in our Africanisms knowing fully that we cannot be like anyone else on the global stage of music but ourselves as Africans. So, we took advantage of our sounds and started experimenting with new tech in music fusions and WE EVOLVED and made progress with the understanding of what type of sound the world at large wants hear, listen and enjoy when it comes to African music. So, what we’ve done with the Nigerian Music is called differentiation.
This understanding is what has paved this pathway for us and it came with a lot of hard work, Sacrifice and orderly thinking that has birth new ground breaking sounds that bridge cultures on a global scale. Simple!
We are still working hard at it; we’re not going to stop but continue to make progress with new learnings, because we’ve learnt a lot along the way. So, there’s still more to do and learn from. PLEASE START YOUR JOURNEY AND STOP THE CRITICISMS. Stop feeling entitled and drowning yourselves in self-pity but look inward for every resource available to you and start refining, defining and put in the work progress awaits you on this journey. We move...

So how are western countries so developed? Good administrative structures(the rule of good laws). African countries write rubbish laws then expect political messiahs to come and perform miracles. It doesn't work like that. Political stability willing the problem with every African country is a poorly written constitution that among many things establishes governments that rule rather than serve the people and often is written to enfranchise one group over another dooming those countries.
The Nigerian entertainment industry is enough proof(for those that need it) that the problem with Africa isn't Africans themselves(as racists would suggest) but the way we organize politically.

Nigerians are very ingenious, they find a way to reinvent themselves. We use our diversity to our advantages , we compete amongst each other both personally and tribaly. Nigerians love exotic tastes culinary, musically ,fashion etc. We celebrate achievements and excellence profusely and unabashedly and draw the white man into the celebration. We are loud an d proud. I am trying to say we don't care about the origin as long as it's quality, we embraced Ghana music I no the 60s and excelled in highlife, Fellowship redefined African music in the 80s , we also embraced Congo music in the 70s . We made Awilo a household name in the late 90s. And now the combination of all these experiences is what you call Nigerian music now.

If you don't know how to you can learn just look at Sydney talker he just opened a record label he said it himself that he wanted to do it since but had to learn about it before launching a record label and if you follow Sydney very well you have noticed he didn't do many comedy skits in 2021 and that's because he had his mind focused on a goal he wanted to achieve.

Nigerian music. Hatred kills, Since u have refused to accept talent superiority and swag over timidness..

Example: Beyonce featured shattawale the song was not even close to grammy nomination, what happened, was it because Ghanians did not promote it or Nigerians rigged it to make the song Beyonce featured Wizkid to win Grammy?
Brothers good music need no promotion, it always promotes itself...

When u fail at something, you find someone that's succeeded at it and let him mentor you. But Ghanians are a different breeds, they wld rather look for 1000 reasons why the mentors a succeding. The paradox is that the reasons may not be up to 5 and if you don't know it you don't know it... 🤔

It’s shame that Ghana media and the music industry don't know their main problem. The problem Ghana music has is that your top stars do Dance hall and rap, this genre is no longer fashionable in Nigeria and most African countries. You guys lack originality. Find your part just as South Africa has just done with amapiano

Ghanaian artist are expecting manna to fall from heaven, keep looking for the wrong reasons to justify your poor music performance. Good music is good music and it must appeal and resonate across international boundaries. When you label your song “Landlord “ who do you blame for poor sales? The shattered Nigga called his single landlord- a rent collector like a tax collector is already a put off for a lot of potential listeners. Must you guys be taught everything?
