The adhesive used is HH66. It is the best vinyl adhesive available for the job - made in USA.

Not surprising to me that this particular kayak needed patching! My Aquaglide Chelan 120 kayak arrived with one of the four plastic bilge ports cracked and leaking and the psi gauge on the pump not working. The zipper on the transport/storage bag broke after its second use, and the seat ripped after its fourth use. Now, one of the three sections of the kayak leaks air, after only the seventh time on the water. This is a terribly made kayak, including the accessories.

I need help. I have a 2 person Chinook model. Yesterday while we were in the river the bottom of the boat started deflating. I took the kayak home and I can hear the leak... I think I found it because I can hear the air leaking... but the damage is in the tubes underneath the fabric and I can't get in to take a look. How do I take the tube out? How do I fix it myself, or do you guys have a recommendation of where I can take to fix? Thank you so much for any advice!

MEK is illegal in my state, and in most or all others now. What would be a good alternative?

MEK is best, but other solvents will work as well. The main idea is to remove surface oils that will interfere with the lamination. In order of preference: MEK, Acetone, Rubbing alcohol, Detergent and water.

If the kayak is punctured and requires patching how heck can you inflate it...?

Because its a PUNCTURE, the air will come out slowly allowing one to fix it before the kayak empties out.
If it was a HOLE, then that would be another story. And why would you try to patch a hole anyways...

Would have been nice if you had words instead of music. It helps novices like me.

Its bad. Methyl Ethyl Ketone. Dont do this. Brushing over the hole may cause the chemical to spray right back in your face. Plus, you should use gloves when using MEK. Granted, probably not harmful in small doses. But repeated exposure is real bad for your liver.
