How far off the shoreline do you feel comfortable going in this boat or do you mainly stick to inlets and canals etc? Is it stable / do you stay dry in small chop with two people on board?
How in the world can dropping a fish or a line on a boat cause a leak? Will you explain that to this newbie please?
How come no abrasion and MEK to prep the surface first. Then use a proper roller tool to press the patch onto the surface and force any air bubbles or voids out.
I didn't stick around for the patch because you mentioned one thing that I possibly did wrong. And that is filling up my inflatable hot tub too much. I figured if I over inflated I can hear the leak. But that didn't work.
Yes, sometimes less air is definitely better. The soapy water method is the best way to find the leak, you can also mix up a soapy water solution is a spray bottle and search for it that way.

What pump are you using to inflate it?
In this video I am using the old 2 stage turbo pump but Sea Eagle has a new pump which works great for all of the boats
are there more videos on this boat? how it is open ocean?
We plan on doing another video soon showing how it handles out in the Gulf of Mexico. We'll try and do it on a choppy day so we can really show it's performance. As long as the boat is balanced correctly with the gas tank moved towards the front it handles great from my experience.
@@BornSaltyCo tysm :) maybe this is overkill but maybe planning to put rubber rakes underneath the main deck or added pvc's on side..how does it handle errant hooks fm fishing poles? tysm again 🙏🙏🙏🙏
i would have sanded the material a bit before adding the pvc glue
For larger patches we absolutely would sand the area for better adhesion however with such a small patch it is not completely necessary.
@@BornSaltyCo I have always had hypalon RIB's .. thinking that pvc was not repairable .. I must have been wrong so ?
are these hyperlon tube or PVC ?
