Unfortunately import photos via the Windows 10 "Photos App" doesn't work, because "0 elements were found". Via File Explorer is say "Device cannot be reached", although I actually can see the photos in the file explorer.

My question for you is, If I have downloaded all of the photos on Google Photos and put them onto my laptop, can I then delete all of the Google Photos content and free up space? If you are one those folks who are having trouble trying to transfer thousands of photos from their new iphone models to their Windows 10 PC, go to Settings > Photos > change Transfer to Mac or PC option to Keep Originals. You should be able to copy your photos from your Iphone DCIM's folder to your target folder. Hope this helps.

When I connect my iphone it doesn't give me the pop in the bottom right choosing the options of what to do.... Just loads up the Iphone file location next to my C Drive

I have icloud and google cloud space...If all the photos and videos go up to the cloud, does it mean I literally can delete all my photos and videos off the phone, again my vision is to free up all the video and photo space off my phone(moreso the abundant videos)? will they be safe in the cloud if i delete off the phone..lmk Mahalo Uso....Dana

always search in explorer as pro tips its because in somecases ur windows will keep open in galery instead of explorer to copy ur photo and video and its annoying sometime when the windows notice doesn't pop it keep going to library,and in case bad luck happened ur library cant open ur photo from iPhone and then u doom ur self

Hi, Kevin. I like every video of yours that I have seen! I have just under 100,000 photos on my iPhone. When I try to use the photo app add feature, the count stops at 36,170. I tried to import those, but the import stopped at 2,195. In addition, the photos I was able to retrieve appeared to be in random, non-sequential order. Is there a way I can select which group of photos are being added? I need to get all 100,000 photos backed up. I bought an external SS drive with 1 TB of storage that I would like to back the pictures up to it directly. Can you help me please?

I’ve always plugged my phone into my pc and done it through the file explorer and just took them from my phone and put them on a flash drive. Well now I turn on my pc after it being off for well a year or so to get my photos off my iPhone XR and it isn’t letting me see my photos in the photos app, then when I go to import like you did, it doesn’t find pictures but yours found them right away. The only reason I changed to Samsung. Because it's so hard to copy many photos, otherwise, iphone's the better phone.

I have over 1000 photos on my iPhone and when I am importing it always freezes
maybe try importing in batches (e.g. 250 at a time). That might help... let me know if that works for you.
same happens to mine when i try and transfer, freezes all the time absolute shit should have just left it the way it was with itunes was much easier

I think you need itunes installed otherwise it says the folder is empty, or you have to click Allow on your phone.
