Thank you Kevin! I am 64 years old and work for a big box company as a sales manager working on the tech side of the business. I am self taught and do a lot of Google and UA-cam and to keep up with things. You are by far one of my favorites to watch! You have a simple fun way of teaching people how to do things, which I try to do at work for older folks that are having difficulties on their devices.

Dear Kevin, I'm 57. I was looking for tutorials on how to use one drive and manage file pictures and came across yours, You are the best one I have ever seen. So clear and makes computer lover like me 100% understand and learn it anyone. Thanks.
To be a good teacher one has to be endowed with a generous heart (to want to share the knowledge), a compassionate soul (to feel what help others need) and a reasonable mind (to know how to present information so it is understood). I think you got it all; thanks and good road ahead!
Thank you Kevin, at 73 years of young, you helped me understand saving files to One Drive. As my computer is aging I realize One Drive is fantastic for storing my files incase my computer starts acting up. We all in time they will. Thanks again! Your the best!!
Thank You Kevin . I am 63 yr old . Didn't grow up with Computers , basically they didn't exist yet . The Cloud was mysterious until I watched this . Good Job . And Good Luck with the Modelling Job . lol .
Kevin, you're one of my fav online instructors. I recommend your content to many, many people. You're clear and go in an easy step-by-step flow. But my favourite thing of all if that you have a way of explaining even basic digital literacy concepts that's clear and easy to follow. I never feel dumb when I watch you and I always come away with more information and skills that I thought I would. Keep it up!
I just realized that this video is more than a year old, but it is a keeper! I have Microsoft OneDrive, but I don't overtly use it. I checked it out while watching this video and, lo and behold, I have hundreds of files containing photos, videos, and documents on Microsoft OneDrive. Thank you, I'll pay more attention. By the way, keep up the great work!
I have been using onedrive the ole school way, trial and error, after watching a few of your videos, I have decided I don't need to re-invent the wheel. Keep up the good shares. 🎯 On target content at reasonable range.
Thanks for the info. I’m almost 60 and got employed 5 years ago. My organisation is using OneDrive and not very tech savvy, this really helps. I’ve subscribed to you channel because I discovered you when I was lost to merge documents 😂😂😂. Ever since, I’m learning so much from you for my work . Thanks
Hello Kevin! You are definitely my favorite instructor; online or otherwise. I struggle with technical issues, but your videos are easy to follow and I always come away with the answer I was looking for. Many thanks! Tony
I used to prepare my teaching slides and visuals at home then upload them to my Google Drive. When it's time to teach, I would then turn on the computer in the lecture room, log in to my Google Drive there, download my materials and then start teaching. With OneDrive, all of that's gone. I love it. I am sure there are tons of features I have not explored so I'm going to watch your video to learn more. Hello from an English teacher based in Thailand!
I listened to many people trying to explain all this to me and I only got more confused than I already was. You laid out much new information very clearly and concisely. Great Job! I appreciate it so much!!!
Thank you, Kevin. It was the best OneDrive tutorial. Your language and your speech are very clear and you cover everything that is important to know. I subscribed to your channel and looking forward to watch your tutorials.
Kevin, your videos are SO, SO helpful for us who need to learn all the amazing features that are becoming available to us. I am a total process geek and am always searching for ways to streamline my processes and save time. I appreciate your channel so much. Thank you!
I worked at a Data Centre for 35 yrs as a Hardware Planning Analyst and some customers we had declined ordering a server with a dual power supply. So if the power supply fails or the PDU where it’s powered from fails then the server won’t be available. But if you had 2 power supplies then we would connect 1 power cable that goes to one PDU and the other power cable to a different PDU for redundancy. PDU is the Power Distribution Unit with 2 sides. Just like a breaker box at your home but more sophisticated.
Another great video!! Hey, tip on what I had done at the office when setting up OneDrive. I redirected all of my default File Explorer Folders to my OneDrive folder on my PC. That easily moved all my files over to the OneDrive folder, but better yet when I went to open or save a document in an app, such as Word, it normally would default to browse the normal Documents folder in Windows. After redirecting, it automatically pointed to the Documents folder within the OneDrive folder and saved the file there. In turn OneDrive then uploaded it to the cloud. Did the same for Music, Videos, Photos, even Downloads, etc. Finally, when I clicked on Documents or the others in File Explorer, the folder opened just as if it would have normally. 😁👍🏻

Kevin thank you so much for this video. So very clearly explained and easy to follow. I thought I'd 'lost' all my files but this video has helped me enormously to understand the usage of the app. Thanks again.
Thank you for this video. I just started a job after being a stay at home mom for the last 10 years and I am having to learn things that i never had a need for. Before this video i was overwhelmed and nervous to even do this job but thanks to you i feel a bit more confident!

I've happen to tumble into your channel last night and eversince i've watched much of your videos... and all wow! Thank you. This will help me a lot. Subscribed!
This is a really great and comprehensive intro to OneDrive. I use Office 365 on line and so theoretically I have access to a total of 6TB storage. I use it on my laptop and desktop computer and my wife on her desktop. 1 TB is NOT enough for my needs. (1) How do I access the OneDrive files created on my wife's computer? (2) How do I put files into her "space"? (3) How do I get access to more of my 6TB? Do I have to create another persona? Thanks in anticipation.
Right click on One drive in desktop.Go to settings. Then to account. Then click add an account. You can add your wife's account. After adding you can use your wife's account just like your account, if you have access to her account. If you create couple more microsoft account with different emails, you can add them also. For each account you will get 1 TB. So with 4 more accounts, you will access to all 6 TB.
Wow! This seems so much cleaner than Google Drive. I wish I would have used OneDrive before my last PC died from trying to forcefully load Windows 11...Thanks for another great video, Kevin! You are truly the best at explaining this stuff!!!
So happy that I found your video on OneDrive. I am retired and had no clue what OneDrive was all about. Thanks to you, I at least understand it now. Not sure how many of the features I will use or remember, but it is a start. Too bad Microsoft doesn't offer better information on it when getting a new desktop.
Thanks, Kevin. You have demystified OneDrive nicely. I want to set it to backup all my patient and business files, and I think now I know how, thanks to your great video. Much appreciated.
Great video explaining pretty much all there is to know about Onedrive, i've shared this video with multiple users with the organisaiton I work for, that way they know how Onedrive works. And Have a tutorial to go to if they forget.
Great video, Kevin! I have a question... I have OneDrive installed in my laptop, tablet and phone. All of them back up on OneDrive. I want to combine the pictures I take with all my devices into a single file structure in OneDrive, so I move them using the app in the way I want to arrange them. My problem is that the phone and the tablet keep backing up the pictures as they always do and create duplicates of the pictures. For example, a single picture can be taken with my phone, so I have it there; the phone syncs win OneDrive. Later, I move that picture to the combined pictures (with the ones coming from the other devices). Then the phone backs up. So I have three copies of the same picture: one in the phone, one in the combined file structure and the third in the phone backup in OneDrive. How can I avoid this? Thanks in advance for your time and kind response. Martin
Thanks for the overview. Is there some good guidance for appreciating normal use security features OneDrive uses/has e.g. TLS 1.3, user identity verification, ..? I'm sure MSFT has put a lot into making OneDrive as safe and as easy to use as possible. I've been running into old DropBox users who don't seem to get it with OneDrive. Many thanks ...
Great tutorial, thanks for putting it out there. I viewed many other utube videos that didn’t explain OneDrive and how to use it step by step. Thanks much for this simple and exact explanation.
This is all cool and all but how tf do I get onedrive to stop overhauling my accounts. I don't wanna pay for the service. But if I delete anything from onedrive it deletes it from my pc or cellphone too!! Wtf how did this make any sense. Defeats the purpose of having onedrive in the first place!
I just got so pissed today exact same reason you described. I keep getting notifs that my storage is almost full. I got tired of it and tried to turn the OneDrive out and stop the copies, yet there's so much connected to it it's almost impossible to do ot without loosing stuff. I turned off copies for my pictures and now all pictures from my pc are gone except the ones in the OneDrive folder!! I also wanted to stop with my desktop copies of my apps, deleted them from one drive and my desktop EPMTIED. The chaos on my pc gave me such an headache. I hade these services
Thank Kevin for explaining very clearly & concisely how to use Microsoft One Drive. I have Microsoft Personal on my Computer Windows 10, but was worried how safe it would be to upload everything on to My One Drive. I can now see the advantages, safety, access where ever I am in the world and if I have it on my Android Mobile Phone. I never knew that One Drive gave access to PDF including facility for editing etc, as well as storing my photographs and files, including access to a Safe Vault/Fort Knox style. Enjoyed the tutorial and I will now start exploring and use it with confidence . 💯👌👋
FINALLY I AM THE FIRST ONE TO COMMENT WHEW !! I AM VICTORIA AND KEVIN I WANT TO SAY I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS THEY ARE ENTERTAINING AND I GUESS U LOVE COMPUTER ! FROM :- VICTORIA :)
Hey Kevin, Thanks so much for the great video! Can you please make a video on how to configure One Drive for business as the user file folder on the server in a domain AD environment so we won't have to setup a backup server and the user can have all his files synched, let's say in case of relacing his computer, as soon as he logged in to his One Drive account on his new device. Thanks, in advance!
Loaded with all kinds of information. The information may be for beginners bit the presentation isn't. Kevin knows the subject matter in and out but he just talks faster than I can hear. I had to back up several times to get what is was he was doing. So it needs to be for beginners who are old and slow. But I really enjoy his enthusiasm and will check out more of his stuff.
Thank you Kevin. I couldn't figure out why even though I saved my files on pc everytime I went searching for them they came up on OneDrive. I had no idea we had it set up to sync automatically.
A clear and informative intro. I didnt realize the phone app was so useful. But a quick question to the more tech savvy guys out there. I have multiple drives on my PC, an SSD for most working documents but also a HDD for photos, music etc. Mr Google search seems to confirm that multiple drives isnt possible - Anyone got any experience or ideas?
Thanks Kevin, you just saved me a lot of trouble showing me how to look at versions of files. I had overwritten a log file of all the changes I make to my PC. I was horrified to learn of this about a week ago. I now have restored an older version of the file and have all of my note back intact. Thanks again.
Kevin provides great tech videos to catch up yourself with on-going new features at his compact and speedy lesson not to waste any moment of your time.
This is by far the very best source of info on software and apps. Kevin, you are the BEST... you know how to dissect (tri-ssect? quatro-ssect?) most important info elements and get them across to listeners that have no option but trigger their curiosity, like what they hear, and most importantly, your info 'sticks' to their brain cells like spaghetti to a wall. Many... MANY thanks!
WOW ! And here you are again! Every time I need help you pop up with a video. This cloud thing is still a great challenge for me , I joined some cloud and a lot of my stuff now shows up multiple places but I have no idea when, where or how to control it. Do you have any VERY Basic videos for us older non techies ? I have managed to learn a lot about CAD and CAM and CNC plasma but just not how to organize my work .and thanks again for your great videos

Martin
do you use the app or website 😐
Thank you. Your tutorials are extremely clear and you don't waste time but also include a bit of fun. Thank you so much. From Australia
I always ignore this one drive on my laptop, Thank you Kevin Stratvert!
I think you are a Great Teacher Kevin! Thank you for your efforts. All the best in your new ventures.
Thank you for this video on OneDrive - really helpful and clear! I always learn a lot from your videos!
Thank you, I am using OneDrive for my work.
How do I retrieve on old onedrive info?

Your comment about his heartwarming smile really warms my heart... 🔥 ❤️ 🔥
excellent summary to get a quick grasp of Onedrive. Thanks!
Almost a million views dude. Keep it up, thanks for the help
Can we all acknowledge how smooth his skin is?
What has that to do with anything. You idiot!
Can we acknowledge that you are on the wrong platform? Please try Tinder instead. I'll see you there. Wink!
Nice teeth too
🐶
Hats off to you. So simple and effective expression, explanation and guidance.
You should really also cover the tough nuts: Azure and Access. Also more on PowerBI pls.
Great, I have learnt a lot more, well presented, I can now use One-Drive with understanding.

@@KevinStratvert I am currently using my PD time to reivew your Onedrive material and then I'll go onto the SharePoint video, brilliant content!
You definitely are lol.
Kevin, You are very clear, personable and super relevant. Thanks a Bunch!
Hi Kevin, just wanna say you are perfect. Deserve to get one million likes.
I agree Philip. I just made the same comment...talking way toooo fast. Cheers
I have learnt so much from you, absolutely love your knowledge and how you pass it on ! thank you KS
Thank you Kevin. I couldn't figure out why even though I saved my files on pc everytime I went searching for them they came up on OneDrive. I had no idea we had it set up to sync automatically.
Thank you Kevin I just subscribed to your channel Thanks for explaining all the different features of the OneDrive Cloud
You explained one drive really well and easy to understand, thanks
Many thanks Kevin for providing great instructions for ONE DRIVE. IT'S SO HELPFUL FOR A FIRST TIME LEARNING TO USING ONEDRIVE.
5 secs into the video and my answer solved ty good sir
