The method of resetting the location and privacy works for me. After resetting it, I restarted my phone. Then, I connected it back to my Windows laptop, and it works! Thanks for this.

the tip to reset the privacy setting helped. I would plug it in, and it would not pop up asking if I wanted to trust it. Finally got it to work
If your computer says device not responding, follow these tips , go to settings: scroll down to photos and click on it : scroll to the bottom of photos where it says transfer to mac or pc and select keep originals . Hope this helps it worked for me

It's been soooo frustrating not having the Airdrop feature after transferring over to PC, and having a limit of 1000GB internet/mo doesn't help when my iPhone videos tend to get up to 20GB+ files recording at 4K doing 1 hour long+ sessions for behind the scenese things. I really need that extra real estate to punch/scale into my videos and such. Creating lots of videos a day and using apps that require internet to transfer doesn't help, but this video is a game changer! Saves me a ton on the monthly internet usage. I am trying to transfer on my Windows laptop but when transferring multiple files or larger size videos, it automatically stops transferring it.

Me too, can’t find a solution to transferring lots of pics/videos without transfer stopping many times.
1st uninstall all apple software junk. itunes,bonjour,icloud, apple service, restart pc, then on iphone, under face id and passcode, turn on usb accessories(the step that nobody mentions anywhere). plug in phone in best usb jack you got, follow on-screen step to allow pc, then follow the windows notification on pc(choose what windows does). I used the photo app for me because it organizes my stuff for me.
It works great even using one of those third party, non-OEM cables 😄. Obrigado.

Ps:if this way does not working, you need a lot of time try reset privacy with connect cable and with noconnect. Also you need try many time change setting in photo aplication

For me, everything worked great, exactly as you had indicated, except that after the transferring began and it look like it was going to work, I received an error message indicating that the transfer failed. The message didn't say why it failed so I have no idea what's wrong. Have you ever heard of this happening? What do you think is the problem? Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
yeah i run into this same problem as well. it so annoying because it gets really messing due to the fact that you'll have some pic and vids go through already. running it over and over get this error of transfer failed is so annoying. i don't remember it being this hard back in the day

Guys, before you do ANY of this, go to your ipad or iPhone, go to “settings,” go to “photos” and under the section of “transfer to Mac or PC” select “keep originals.” Do this FIRST. Then consider all this other mess.

When I transfer videos from iPhone to computer the video quality seems to deteriorate. How can I avoid this to happen?
Must use data connection cable, not power cable or dual. data cable is less than 2.4 amps. signal interference caused by power cable disrupts the data transfer when the laptop reads the digital signal from the analog signal of the cable. if the iphone charges when plugged into the computer, it is the wrong cable.

Thank you for the tutorial! I don´t get all my transfers to work though. Sometimes my computer disrupts the transfer and displays a message that the disk is missing. Any ideas why this might happen? (I´ve tried different computers and phones and the problem persists).

Same for me. When trying to bulk transfer photos/videos after a while the transfer stops with an error Unable to find the phone(have even tried using the "Never" auto lock phone option just in case, doesn't solve the problem.)
Guess we need to use a TPT to transfer the photos in Bulk.
this way is too complex, an easier way is to use ao mei m backup, faster

This usually happens when a file has a problem. You should check until which file the copy has progressed. That will show the problematic file! Skip that file and continue the copying

I did what he taught in the video but it works with only one picture (as he showed and I don’t believe he can do with more pics). The thing is: Apple is compatible with Apple ONLY. The real truth. Period. And I gave back the laptop...
