Find some tips about your elbows position when you are doing push-ups,its because your elbows are going outside instead of inside towards your body, and that is not the right push-up
"If you're goal is to get the bulk of your chest the wide grip pushup is going to be the best" do you actually believe that? The wide grip does the least for the chest it's mostly a back exercise.
@Olli Rolli there is tho instead of using your chest you end up using your lats and serratus anterior and your core search it up bro just search "what muscles do wide pushups use" and not a bias search of "wide pushups train chest"
As I write this, I’m currently in physical therapy for bicep tendonitis. At home I don’t have any materials to help me recover other than frozen food. I ordered this packet of ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx010hhy8hzepHnne4VtzOtUictDZeYMTF so that I may heal faster. They are great! Good grip movements, steady and hard resistant levels, and fun! Thank you!
guys chill it works, i've done these before. if you honestly can't trust the push-ups here then do elevated feet push-ups, those do a lot for chest and shoulders.
A lot of UA-cam comments in other video keep saying not to do this because "you can tear a muscle" or "it's bad for your shoulders" just wanted to make sure I was right thanks
people criticise the guys form but yet his chest is more built then the majority of people on here .people build muscle differently. do what you want and build results. not everything has to be done in one certain way
I am sorry but what you just said was completely false and might be the dumbest thing iv’e heard. Why his chest is more built than other can depend on like 1000000 of factors but the easiest for people to understand is, HE HAS TRAINED FOR YEARS, OR TAKEN GEAR. And the other thing you said is just nonsense. That people build mucle differently is like saying that people cook potato differently some in Water and some in Lava. Every humanbeing on earth build mucle the same way, because we are HUMANS and biologically our bodies build mucle through Hypertrophy. And last if you ”do what you want to build mucle” you might endup hurting yourself like if you do this exercise like this guy is showing you.
Get pro level at close grip push ups first. This is a great chest building pushup(especially with push ups bars) exercise but build your triceps and shoulders up first by owning the close grip pushup. Be able to crank out 300-400 a week. Then after your weaknesses are fixed by owning the close grip pushup then you should move on to the wide grip. You dont want any shakiness when doing your pushups. If you are shaking on your first 3 wide grip pushups then you need to go back and get the regular pushup down first.
Mansor Fransis Nope. Do 15. If you say "i cant" then be happy being skinny. When you get to your 2nd and 3rd set and you feel "you cant" do anymore, take a 5 second break then finish out the 15.
Whether wide or close grip, push ups will always work your chest, triceps, and some secondary muscles (e.g. shoulders, abs if you're keeping your body straight). With that said, wide grip = emphasis on chest and close grip = emphasis on triceps/arms. If you don't want to neglect your arms doing pushups, either do close/diamond grip, or normal grip (about shoulder width), which is a good balance between chest and triceps.
He said 20 to 30 push ups 3 or 4sets : there are 4 possibilities : 20x 3= 60 20x 4= 80 30x 3 = 90 30x 4= 120 It's up to you to choose which one of these is easier for you.
5sets of 20reps works best for me.Great for chest and works latisimus dorsi too.Its actually great exercise and there is weary little tention on triceps hire.
Regular push-ups hurt my elbows not, so I been doing wider. I want to transition back to regular push-ups but not sure how to get there. I can physically do them but with pain in my elbows after
elbows should be pointed in to 45 degree to 90 degree. flaring out your elbows is the most biggest mistake done in pushup and could injure your elbows so try putting your hands at a shoulder width distance.
Basically along your shoulder you have a tendon (supraspinatus) above that you have a sack of soft tissue called the bursa and above that you have the acromion, three parts here. When you do wide grip push ups or any other push up with over 70-75 percent abduction (abduction is when you raise your arm to the side) you are essentially pushing the bursa (Soft Tissue sack) to the side and,the tendon is now hitting the acromion. Throughout our day this may happen here in there which is perfectly normal, but when you intertwine the soft tendon and with acromion the hard bone, ON TOP of pressure it causes the bone to dig deep into the tendon which causes irreversible damage. How you ask? well when your body heals, it heals with scar tissue instead of muscle leading some to get chronic pain.Happy to help.
what you are doing is teaching people to do push ups in a bad way (Bad push ups) its called, when your elbows point outward you have a big risk of getting impingement syndrome which can damage you shoulder real badly so badly in fact that you may have a real problem to do push ups ever again after because the little tissue that your shoulder bone are scratching against will not grow back fully it will just be replaced with scar tissue over and over. For a big chest do diamond push ups and close grip pushups, you can even try yourself to compare a wide push up with a close grip pushup and see that the close grip focuses even more on your chest than wide pushups.
eliot mccool i was so with you until you mentioned close grip pushups for chest. Close grip focuses almost exclusively elbow extension which is a function of the triceps not the pectorals. Standard grip, shoulder width apart, is fine for the chest. I personally go about an inch or two wider while still avoiding internal rotation at the shoulder.
The most naive response I ever heard. Narrow grip and diamond push-ups work triceps and shoulders more. My original comment speaks to guys like you. Grow up man
Shows you have no clue what you’re talking about. Train for at least 5 years and come back to this channel with your naive, negative comments. Or educate yourself first before you make a comment about fitness. Your comment here obviously shows and is evident that you do not train at all. Once or twice a week, doing diamond pushups is nothing. That’s a warmup lol
Dominic Barrett no if it was true no body builder or anyone would do them also tons of people would be talking about them and in school in PE teachers wouldn't make you do them
Almost thought this was goggins
ha same
No, this guy is way too nice.
Lol frfr
Looks just like him
I was about to say he looks like a mix of David Goggins, Shaun from Beachbody Insanity, or Brandon Carter; screw it, this guy is all of them combined
Old video, new subscriber. Quick, simple, to the point. Awesome help, and content. Thanks a milli.
Ikr. 9 years! Damn
thanks Keegan!
Philip Basin he sounds like him too lmaoo
Me : Mom, can we have Goggins?
Mom : No, we have Goggins at home.
Goggins at home :
Your Goggins is better
Thanks for the tutorial!
I don’t know why I can do a 20 wide pushups set but just 10/12 with regular grip
It's a matter of whether if your tricep is stronger than your chest, as you progress with regular grip they'll invert.
Find some tips about your elbows position when you are doing push-ups,its because your elbows are going outside instead of inside towards your body, and that is not the right push-up
I can do regular push ups more than wide arm push ups, they are so hard
It's even worse for me. I tried a close grip one today and couldn't do 1. I did 120 on the wide grip. My elbows just don't go that way.
less range of motion
he looks like the guy from key n peele
I don't think he looks anything like that, despite the head.
He sounds like him
Actually he really do and alot
best video i found about wide grip push ups! thumbs up

simple ,on point video.rare in youtube.thanks
No doubt
That explains a lot. Great video and thanks for posting!!!
Didn't know Key and Peele did workout tutorials

Thx man! It helps
good advice, I was doing it wrong!
guys chill it works, i've done these before. if you honestly can't trust the push-ups here then do elevated feet push-ups, those do a lot for chest and shoulders.
Look like David GOBBINS or a black Saitama
Thanks

eliot mccool it depends on your stability. Any way, people will do what they think is best for them.
@@BADBOYS1324 lmao youre just mad becaise your ribs are showing🤣🤣🤣
@@BADBOYS1324 agreed
We gonna ignore how good the quality is for 9 years ago?
His kicks are clean tho

u sound like u know wtf u talking about outta everybody lol im gonna try ur method first, thanks!
Thanks Rock
Thank you 🗿
wide grip push ups are easy for me. I just started doing normal pushups and my arms hurt.
Are you doing normal push ups right?
Thanks a mill
Very well explained
Goggin's long lost brother
Thanks sir
I like this guy. He's cool.
Thanks!
that's how intense this shit is
Should I feel my shoulder blades coming together? Is that normal?
Thanks. Well explained 👏
THOUGHT IT WAS GOGGINS IN THE THUMBNAIL
Thanks a lot! Was doing these way too wide
I've been inspired! :D
Are the elbows suppose to be pointing to the side?
I do wide push-ups now and I like how it works pecs but does it work my arms as much as normal push-ups? I don't want to lose my arms by switching.
i do 5 different pushups at once you just swich
Whether wide or close grip, push ups will always work your chest, triceps, and some secondary muscles (e.g. shoulders, abs if you're keeping your body straight). With that said, wide grip = emphasis on chest and close grip = emphasis on triceps/arms.

***** work you arms with dips..and rows get some dumbells..
what the what do them all man
+Imran Ali if you're doing arms on dips it's only going to help your triceps
He said 20 to 30 push ups 3 or 4sets : there are 4 possibilities :

Wide grips are so much easier than the normal pushup
Thought I was the only one to think so
Nooo
Yea right
Hell no
SavageCombo HD try doing it properly
Regular push-ups hurt my elbows not, so I been doing wider. I want to transition back to regular push-ups but not sure how to get there. I can physically do them but with pain in my elbows after
"Push ups is a things i do when i go on vacation" my guys must be on perpetual vacation cause hes ripped
Thankyou brother this was very Helpful☺️😁 may GOD Bless you brother😁👊
Is it normal your shoulder and wrist to hurt a little when you are a beginner?
no. get bigger.
David goggins?
😂😂
Is it best to keep elbows out or in for wide grip ? I know the normal press to
Maximise the muscles used keep them in
in. if you do wide overtime you will most likely hurt yourself
Thanx
This is what army taught wide is way to go
What if you do this the exact same way but with dumbbels?
Are my shoulder blades supposed to touch
true story. if you're not sweating doing something physical, you're not properly hydrated.
Or not doing a demanding exercise
Not everybody sweats easily lol
I get these hands
The music is 3od thats impresive lmao
Thank u
I always put my hands wide to work my shoulders
Not good 4 ur soulders
My opinion I better this tow things together limit wide push up and normal wide push.
Would wide grips push ups count on Navy seal/Green beret 2 minutes push up test?
Of course. They're still pushups
Wow 😯
What to do if your elbow hurts while doing wife arm push ups?
I heard letting you Elbows go to the side is bad and going behind is good
A tiktok told me to do 35 wide pushups
"THEY DONT KNOW ME SON!!!!!"
Is that Key from Key and Peele!?!?!??
damn his arms and legs changed position 😮🤔
But I want to ask if the elbows are supposed to be pointed out for wide pushups
elbows should be pointed in to 45 degree to 90 degree.
flaring out your elbows is the most biggest mistake done in pushup and could injure your elbows so try putting your hands at a shoulder width distance.
Can do pushups can't count
I saw this and thought “goggins?”
I thought that was brandon carter
Fahad Ahmed me too
David Goggins, is that you?
Saitama?
What song is at the end?
my thumbs hurt doing this
but this way hurts my shoulders....any advice?
Harish Shrivastava you have to move your shoulder blades correctly
+Harish Shrivastava place your arms lower
That's the point
Conner Broeker no this exercise causes nerve damage. That isnt normal

Dude I do 150 minimum wide grip push-ups in a row or non stop.
Then you're not doing them right

I thought wide grip were bad because I watch a video and he said don't do wide grip, you can injury your shoulder. Can someone tell me the truth??
Dominic Barrett no if it was true no body builder or anyone would do them also tons of people would be talking about them and in school in PE teachers wouldn't make you do them
Chase Crider, so damn true
It isn't bad
