I've had sushi in the US, Japan, Korea, Australia, and few other countries, and I can say that some of the best I've ever had came from this small, awkwardly located shop. Keep up the good work guys. You guys are truly the hidden gem in Auckland.
I was just thinking the other day that the quality of sushi in Auckland is not worth their price. Especially the most common stores like St Pierres. This place looks legit and I'm keen to try it out!
The sushi scene in Auckland is too expensive at both fine dining and entry level like St Pierres. The price tag doesnt justify the quality or creativity you're getting at each segment. These guys is the ONLY sushi store in Auckland that bring the best of both worlds, affordable but extremely high quality. The only place I get my sushi from. Prices of everything in Auckland are just insane, so I understand why higher end establishment have to charge such high prices, so The Sushi Store found success in reducing cost being a takeaway shop and delivering more value to customers. Everyone must know about these guys. Great work!!
It’s a smart model, we think it serves an audience that recognises the value of quality and skilled chefs without having to be served silver platter level service. Thanks so much for commenting
This place is real. Even comparing to some of the best Japanese restaurants in town, they surpass in quality, consistency, freshness, and most importantly affordability.

That's so kind off you to say. It's true, we agree 100; awkwardly positioned but worth the trip.

Cool story, but I missed the part where they're affordable and value? the prices are on par with most places...if not a little more pricey
@@Walt-ol2yd perhaps it depends on where you’re comparing to? :)
That's the price of quality.
