What the hell...........LB strikes again. Petite women who wear their femininity proudly but in heels and gowns turn into metal goddesses on stage when they perform. They play everything from Power, Speed, Prog, classical piano, acoustic guitar and ballet dance. The Wolfpack (fanbase) gives you one guarantee, they will NEVER disappoint especially with a LIVE performance. Insane talent and one of the best bands (forget female) to come along in years.
Well I would not go quite as far, they are among the best in Japan but there is already quite a Selektion and a lot Dependance on style, song and Form at the Day. We mustn't forget that the publishers learned that these bands might be a Catcher even if they don't sell as big in Japan. If we Look at Bandmaid, they had to find a leg in the US and then their publishers risked to buy bigger venues in Japan.
you've seen the rest - now you've seen the best ! just my opinion of course but LOVEBITES is on a level above everything else i've seen in at least 30 years - including male bands. just mind numbing how great these ladies are. you have much to see and hear from them and you will love ALL of it .
I think the people who seem to suggest that all the Japanese bands are equally good, are wrong. I mean at a technical level, I don’t think they’re all comparable. Although Lovebites has its pros and cons, I would rate them pretty high up there for Japanese bands. What I mean, is that it’s okay to say they’re better.
yeah - it just depends on what you prefer i guess. some people like the growling and screams but that's just not for me because i don't get it lyrically. and others just don't like LOVEBITES style and that's ok too. they have everything i look for in a band. @@SomethingToDo360
Yes, too often the term “Japanese metal” is used as a broad definition. These ladies, whatever you think of *what* they play, it is impossible to disagree that *how* they play is on a level that is superior to just about anything. I’ve seen “the greats”. Yes, they were, but none of them had a flawless catalogue of ever more technically sophisticated pieces and kept up with their own growth in terms of live performances as LOVEBITES. Best band ever. Not joking.
Welcome to the realm of the Wolfpack (Lovebites fans from around the world) ! These amazing ladies play a seamless and innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/heavy rock/power ballads which makes their sound unique and contemporary. You have barely scratched the surface as they have a current catalogue of about 60 original songs which none of them is bad. Lovebites have toured the UK between 2017-2019 at Bloodstock, Download, etc... They also toured with DragonForce in the UK back in 2019. Lovebites won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band. As part of their World Tour 2024, this band will be performing at New Cross Inn, London UK, on 14 June this year. For a thrashier tone from a more recent concert, check out "The Hammer of Wrath" LIVE : ua-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/v-deo.html . Enjoy your journey down the rabbit hole that's Lovebites !
@@RealLifeCoupleReact Just a quick heads up - you have a vile troll with multiple trolling YT accounts and who has been banned/blocked from 17 other reaction channels (and counting), has snuck into your comments section here. Look out for this account "@in..."
NWOBHM? As a guy old enough to have experienced everything from The Beatles, Sabbath and Zeppelin and everything that’s followed, i personally not a fan of all this subdivided genres. Can we just call it rock or metal? I saw Maiden on their first US tour (I believe), opening for the Scorpions. We knew they were good but they blew us away live. Btw, the Scorpions were every bit as good. 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you for reacting to LOVEBITES, possibly THE most musically talented metal band on the planet (at least on the top 3 along with Dream Theater and Symphony-X). Notice the Grand Piano on stage - how often do you see one of those in a metal concert?
You’re in for one helluva ride with Lovebites. They have a massive catalog which includes multiple blending of classical piano with metal that would make Beethoven and Chopin proud.😊
In 2018, LOVEBITES won the Best New Band in the world of heavy music and received the Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award in London. LOVEBITES has performed in the UK several times (2017, 2018, 2019). LOVEBITES will be performing in London in June as part of their 2024 World Tour. Miho (bass, backing vocals) is friends with Steve Harris.
Why do you have to lie so blatantly? Aren't you ashamed? You're a cultist, lying is one of your most important axioms. Lowbites only sold half the tickets in six months, the rest were given away. And I have to say, there were very few people who wanted a free ticket.
@@noelle3551 I congratulate you on purchasing your tickets. 👍I wish you to be as close to the stage as possible. Perhaps the Midori and/or Miyako picks that they throw to the audience during concerts will end up in your hands.🤘😊
I love seeing peoples first reactions to LOVEBITES, they just dont get they are listening to the best band on the planet right now......period!! No other band has the ability to perform how they can live, in fact given live or MV I will take live every time, they are unequalled, and guess what you've only got another 65+ songs to choose from!! Every single one will have you waiting with anticipation for the next. These ladies are without doubt the best and tightest band I've ever heard in my 65yrs. Keep listening you will not be disappointed......ever! Welcome to the Wolfpack!!
As a fellow Brit I can say without hesitation that if you have the money, buy a ticket for their 1st September show in Tokyo. At over 8000 capacity it is the biggest venue they have ever attempted to fill and, talented as they are, it’s no certainty that they will fill it though I’m hopeful. I flew to Japan 3 times last year, all to see LOVEBITES or individual members performing. I’m travelling Europe to see them in 3 locations (so far) this year and going to the concert in Tokyo in September. Do not get the impression that doing that is financially easy for me. It isn’t. I reach retirement age in 18 months and basically I’m borrowing (heavily) against future retirement income to do now while I can what I’d wish I had done if I didn’t. I will follow this band until I drop. They are, without any argument, the best group of musicians I have ever seen and heard, both current and past. I can’t use the term “greatest” because their following doesn’t warrant the term, but best? Certainly. They stand above every recording artist you care to mention and I have sound reasons for saying that. Great reaction. Only 55 songs to go.
LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics: Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood People live in fear, covered in mud Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters There is a thousand, a thousand of evils Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore SOLO: midori Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall Reincarnation, wait for your call Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters Morning star and dying moon Into the Gates of Hell we march Mighty soul, let there be hope Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? Close your eyes, and just jump into the rabbit hole. I've been listening to Lovebites for over two years. I'm no less in awe today listening to this song than I was when I first heard it over two years ago. It was a reaction to this song that was my introduction to Lovebites. They are now my favorite band. Been listening to metal since 1971 when I was 11. Nice shirt. I've lived in the Boston area my entire life.
Funny thing is most people assume LOVEBITES and BAND-MAID don't like each other but LOVEBITES was actually in the crowd at the BAND-MAID concert that the 'DONT U Tell ME" Video was shot.
No, not most people, only a few rotten apples in both communities who are honestly a disgrace to the fandoms and speciffically the bands they claim to support. There are so many examples how members from different female japanese bands know and support each other and it´s a delight. I just wish those toxic a$$holes would accept that or just pi$$ off.
That was awesome when I heard that. 🤘Strange the fanbases of the 2 bands sometimes act like they hate each other when the actual bands love each other enough to show that much support.
@1RacerXer I don't think that is true of most of the fans. Just some crazed fanatics. A lot of fans love both bands as I do. In fact a lot of fans like Band-Maid, Lovebites and Nemophila. And of course trolls try to stir up trouble
I discovered them a few weeks after they first played in Belgium in 2019 - baaaad timing. I was afraid I would never be able to see them live but I have my ticket to see them in june - FINALLY! . Btw, they toured the UK with Dragonforce some years ago. About the japanese female rock and metal bands, you are only on the tip of the iceberg, it's the best kept secret and it's a kind of Tardis: it's HUGE inside. They're probably already on your list but Nemophila, Hanabie, Gacharic Spin, Asterism or Bridear (to name a few) will enjoy you A LOT.
@@RealLifeCoupleReact I got my ticket immediately they went on sale. I think management have underestimated how popular they are in the UK. Only a small venue approx 350 capacity, it sold out very quickly. I was hoping they would have more UK bookings especially Glasgow, or if not Manchester. As it is only London I am having to fly down from North Scotland. Reckon it will cost me betweeb £300 - £400 to see them, but will be worth it. Maybe you will be lucky and someone who cant go will be selling a ticket
LOVEBITES. They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans. They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM, heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal, hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, R&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal. All this makes their style unique. 🐺🤘LOVEBITES 🤘🐺 the team of five thrashpower metal goddesses from Japan_Tokyo. Welcome to Lovebites!!!! This concert, Five of a Kind, is a great show from beginning to end. It is hard to pick a favorite, but Thunder Vengeance and Raise Some Hell were the two songs that got me hooked. In 2021, they have another live video release. This was the end of the Miho era. She is the Bass player and co-founder of the band. In 2023, Knocken at Heavens Gate was released. After taking almost 2 years off, they show up and showcase their new Bass Player, Fami. Their playing and stage performance never lost a step, in some aspects, they are even better. It helps having the crowd energized for the return of Lovebites in creating a great atmosphere for the band to come back to. Enjoy the journey, I have!!!!!
" don't you tell me" by band maid that you reacted to before,. members of lovebites were watching band maid's performance at Yokohama arena. so they are friends who respect each other.😊
The Warning has too much of a mainstream rock sound that I'm not into and Nemophila and the rest of the Japanese bands don't do it for me. That's just me tho.
Some of my favorite Songs from Lovebites - A frozen Serenade, Epilogue, Swan Song with Chopin intro. Empty Daydream, Edge of the World, Liar, Stand and Deliver, Judgement Day
Welcome to the Wolfpack. The band is named after the Grammy winning song "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm. The lead singer ,Asami, joined Lzzy and Halestorm, at Download festival 2019, to perform that song. Formed in 2016 by former Destrose members Miho (bass), and Haruna (drums). Miyako and Midori (blond pony tail) on twin lead guitars. Miho left the band in 2021, replaced by Fami in Oct 2022. Some songs lean towards power metal, and some towards thrash, with 4 albums and 60+ songs, plus concert DVD's from 2019, here in 2020, 2021 and a 2 parter in 2023. Judas Priest, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Helloween are among their influences. "Holy War" comes from the 3rd album, Electric Pentagram. As you see, they are awesome on stage. For more , try , also from this concert, "Thunder Vengeance", "Break the Wall", and "Swan Song" (with Chopin piano intro). And to meet Fami, from Knockin' At Heaven's gate 2023, "Hammer of Wrath", "Judgement Day", and "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)"
Some people say that rock is not dead, it just moved to Japan. Thanks so much for reacting to mind-blowing Lovebites and spreading the word because they deserve more recognition. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile proficient musicians. Their live performances are just outstanding. Their main influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own unique style. Some people say that they’re redefining metal or that they’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band; her voice is just clean. Those twin lead guitar solos by Miyako and Midori (M&M) are already legendary, in just seven years. Miyako is also a concert level classical pianist. They have toured Asia and Europe in 2018 and 2019. Their presentation at Wacken Open Air, Germany, 2018, was a real success. They toured the UK in 2019, opening for Dragonforce (they’re good friends, by the way). In an interview, Miho (exbassist and founder of the band) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next recommendations are “The hammer of wrath”, “Judgement day”, “Set the world on fire”, “Break the wall”, “Shadowmaker”, “Thunder vengeance”, “Scream for me”, “Raise some hell”, “MDO”, “Winds of Transylvania”, “When destinies align”, “Above the Black Sea”. For a different side of them: “Chopin etude + Swan song”, “Edge of the world”, “Empty daydream”, “Epilogue”, “A frozen serenade”, “Glory to the world”, “Liar”, “Spellbound” (all live; but “Glory…” and “When…” have great MVs) Japanese female musicians are extraordinary, especially guitar players. Other all-female Asian rock bands are “Nemophila”, “Gacharic spin”, “Show-Ya”, “Bridear”, “Fate gear”, “East of Eden”, “Hanabie”, “Hagane”, “Aldious”, “DIH”, “Rolling Quartz”. Other excellent bands are “Asterism”, “Unlucky Morpheus”, “Galneryus”, “D_Drive”, “Versailles”, “Ningen Isu”, etc. you already know Band-Maid, another favorite of mine. I recommend to block the user troll “@ingopek5485”; he’s being attacking the band on many UA-cam channels reacting to Lovebites.
I saw Rolling Quartz at the O2 London recently, as part of their very first EU tour, it was a great concert and the audience loved everything they did.😊

Welcome to the new world of LOVEBITES...more lovebites song i think you want to know...more beautiful..more mindblowing... can't wait to see your reaction to those songs of this band...the queen of metal
LOVEBITES played live in UK with DRAGONFORCE .... check their video with DRAGONFORCE.... Next LOVEBITES songs live 2023 Judgements Day, The Hammer Of Wrath, Set The World On Fire, Break The Wall, LIAR, cover song Pain Killer(Judas Priest), ballad songs with classical piano intro songs Swans Song, Empty Daydream, Edge Of The World, Epilogue....
As you mentioned Dragonforce, Lovebites toured the UK as support to them when they were relatively unknown. They are performing outside Japan again after a hiatus that ended last year (they were held back by Covid restrictions + the bassist changing + one of the guitarists and the lead singer having babies). They are visiting the UK, but tickets are probably disappearing quickly. Don't worry though, there's a huge catalog of amazing songs to catch up on by this band.
Funny you mentioned Dragonforce. I saw LOVEBITES in Cardiff in 2019 as a support band of Dragonforce and have been a fan of them since. They were excellent then but they've gone up another level now!!!
A proper first reaction to the great LOVEBITES!!! These all-female or female-led bands from Asia have re-ignited my passion for rock/metal music! I was clueless two years ago, but since have seen Band-Maid, Babynetal and Hanabie in concert. I will see Otoboke Beaver later this month, and my favorites, the reigning princesses of heavy metal, LOVEBITES, September in Atlanta!!! Hoping desperately for more tours to be announced to feed my need!!🤣

yeah Lovebites does that!!! discovered them 3 years ago got every cd/dvd - listen to them daily and still get choked up,goosebumps and teary eyes...keep exploring they are mindblowing!
As one of your new subscribers who suggested that you check out this band, thank you for this reaction. I knew you'd be impressed! 😅 As others have mentioned, please check out some of their later live material since 2023 with new bassist Fami. Also worth a look are their masterpiece tracks from the previous lineup, A Frozen Serenade or Swan Song, the older version with the Chopin piano intro by Miyako. She's the dark haired guitarist, composer and musical genius. Enjoy!

The lead singer. She is a former ballerina dancer. The lady playing the first guitar solo is an former concert pianist virtuoso. (Miako) And she started play piano at the age of 3 and started play guitar at the age of 18. The other guitarist is competing in Japanese bodybuilding "fitness" on high level. And is also an remarkable good acustic guitar player... (Midori) Very few live bands that I can think of is capable of sound so great live sound and technicaly skilled so its sounds so good as they do. Epica and Nighwish comes to mind, but on the same skill level not many more.... They are all very short. The drummer Haruna is 4.9" and her nick name is "little big engine" Since this concert was made and on their latest album they have a new basist . Fami "Shining Fingers"... The guitarist/pianist Miako with the more (introverted stoneface) is called "The silent assassin" The other Guitarist Midori is called "The shredder" And Asami the singer is called "The voice"... The two guitarists are both lead guitarists. Inspite of one being lead and one backing as often usual. And they are the the perfect example of one being more introverted and one being more extrovert on the stage. Which shows more of them as persons than that sometimes can be seen as one being more cold. Cause outside the stage they are very warm and open people all of them. They do sing in English but its often good to in my opinion use captions when able. Cause its offcourse not their native language. So sometimes it can be hard to hear the often very good positive uplifting lyrics... Or otherwise google lyrics in beforehand. The technical skill in this group is beyond amazing. They also do different styles in different songs. Like hardrock, trash metal, powermetal, and plain metal. Sometimes with symphonic metal influences. They said in an interview that the starting rolemodels for them was the old english and European metal bands. Nowadays they have done their own mixture of everything . And their latest 2023 album is ranked as one of the best metal albums of all metal genres the year. I have never heard a band like them who never done a bad song. You can likely choose any song to react to and its good. Old or new... This is the "rabbit hole of rabbit holes" for you. So much wonderful to investigate. Everyone of them has their own UA-cam chanel. I think their new basist Fami (Shining fingers) has the biggest one. She was big before beginning in Lovebites. Just some trivia I know about them... One of the absolute best bands in the world along Battle Beast and Unleash the Archers in their genre. Im a part of wolfpack. (Lovebites fanbase,) and a new follower to ure YT chanel from today. Much love from Stockholm Sweden/ J

This is an overview of LOVEBITES 55 self-written songs and 3 covers (plus 6+1 covers by band members) with your reaction marked with a star (*) or short (S). All these songs are great, they have no bad, weak or meh songs, and no fillers at all. Every song is special, you could randomly select a song, best life, of course, and LOVEBITES won't disappoint you. They play many different Heavy Metal styles with a certain LOVEBITES sound, they revive the masters of the 80's (and 90's) in a fresh and modern way. LOVEBITES may have the most talented musicians around, all of them S tier. Drummer Haruna is relentless like a metronome, both Miho and Fami master their bass (for Fami's capabilities, you should visit "Alien Alien" from my list, it's in her UA-cam channel will almost 700K subscribers), the dual guitars M&M (for Midori and Miyako) is most certainly the best duo for trading guitar solos and harmonizing, and Asami's voice is stellar with big range, powerful belt and good vibrato. She is also a trained ballerina with exceptional stage presence. One reactor caller her "Stage General", which is perfectly put. Hard, tight, fast, relentless, effortless and clean, that's LOVEBITES. Fasten your seat belt and enjoy your ride!
You have just started the rabbithole of all female japanese Rock and metalbands. There are dozens of them: Bridear, Nemophila, East of Eden, Trident, Hagane just to name a few
Yes guys, this is Lovebites,The Goddesses of Heavy Metal. You have to propare to full distruction. You are in the begining of the begining. Keep going in the Magic world of Lovebites
Hard to play favorites, but if you liked this song....you're going to love everything else coming from Lovebites. At 57yo, this metalhead has supplanted all his metal heroes with Lovebites being my absolute #1.
LOVEBITES have performed in the UK many times, as far back as 2017. Those early performances, including their full set at Bloodstock 2018, are on UA-cam.
Love the raised eyebrows and dropped jaws of first timers, and you ain't seen 'nuthin yet 😂😂. So pleased to see more Brits reacting to LOVEBITES. We've got to get them to come back to tour in UK. I've a ticket for their gig in London but it's a ridiculously small venue. Good to see them close up but I hope to see them with the full show on a bigger stage too. #LOVEBITES 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Ah welcome to the wonderful world of Lovebites, These ladies are by far the most amazing musicians I've come across for a long time the Wolfpack 🐺 will guide you through the forest of Lovebites amazing music enjoy Kind regards Wolfpack UK 🐺🤘🥁🎤🎸🎹🎶🔥🤯🤘
Band Maid - check, Lovebites - check, next up should be Nemophila. I recommend "Revive" live version. You get Mayu's clean vocals along with her awesome scream vocals as well. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/xlIbcjqN5ao/v-deo.html
Welcome to Japanese H/R and H/M rabbit hole! In Japan, therer are many talented all-female band. You can enjoy their music from BAND-MAID, LOVEBITES, NEMOPHILA, Gacharic Spin (Doll$Box), East of Eden, Show-ya and so on. And please also watch the "Naon no Yaon" music fes video, the performer on stage are female only.
I have ticket to see them in June in London(14th), Belgium(15th) and Milano(19th) now waiting for more shows to be announced I can go to as I don't to go the festivals (and they have a bunch scheduled including Hellfest for example) lol and also got VIP for their biggest solo show to date at Tokyo Garden Theater on the day of my birthday (Sept 1st)🤘little list of my favourite artists out of Japan rn: Band-Maid, Nemophila, Mizuniukikusa, Sokoninaru, Glim Spanky, Bray me, Lovebites, Aldious, Maki Oyama, Mary's Blood, Wagakki Band, East of Eden, Unlucky Morpheus, Doll$boxx, Suisoh, D_Drive, Asterism, Kiyoshi... I could continue with at least 50 more names but I think you got the idea 😁

@@benjpr5395you could fly to Munich and rent a car, Lindau is about 2 hours from Munich airport. The next day it would be a 4.5 hour drive to reach Milan …
I knew you'd love Lovebites! I'd recommend trying 'Swan song' next, but make sure it's the version with the Chopin Piano introduction to see Miyako playing piano. Glad to hear you've got tickets for The Warning. I'm so excited to see them in April. Can't wait.
That show is sold out which is not a surprise since it is such a small venue. I am still scratching my head over why they are not booking bigger clubs.
The two guitarists were in Britain several years ago and actual played on stage with Dragonforce. There are some UA-cam videos out there. Fans of this group are called The Wolfpack and Band Maid's fans are called Maidiacs. Watch the new version of HAMMER OF WRATH with the new bass player, Fami. Try Gacharic Spin next for a totally different flavor, and also Nemophila, both also all female bands.
Really like Lovebites, incredible musicians obviously. Herman Li (Dragon Force) auditioned for Band Maid , there's a fun video about as he dressed the part. He also put the idea into Kanami's head to write a song with a faster bpm than Dragon Force's fastest which I don't think Miku was totaly happy about.
And now you’ve only got to look at Nemophila, Gacharic Spin, Aldious, Fate Gear, Unlucky Morpheus, The Wagakki Band and loads more. All amazingly talented , you may never leave Japan!!!!
You have now uncorked the bottle, there is no putting this genie back in. There are over 50 more songs by Lovebites, many are even better than this one, and you ain't seen nothin yet. Enjoy this journey, it will be the ride of your life! 🤘🔥🎸💥🤘
Hello 😃 Thank you for reacting to "Lovebites" on your channel ✨✨ I would like you to react to "Lovebites" live more on your channel 👍 I'm rooting for your channel from far away in Japan 😊✌️
It was just a matter of time (hours!) after your Band-Maid reactions that you would find your way to Lovebites! Well, you just found the most talented metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. They did their first live performances in more than two years in summer of 2023, with their new bassist Fami. Their very first show was commemorated on the DVD “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate”. They have posted four performances from that DVD: ”Hammer of Wrath” ua-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/v-deo.html “Judgement Day” ua-cam.com/video/yYEUGlFNBKc/v-deo.html “Nameless Warrior” ua-cam.com/video/Dl29tiJCbNM/v-deo.html and “Liar” ua-cam.com/video/YWHPfnJz2qk/v-deo.html All of them are barn-burners. They have also posted: “Stand and Deliver” ua-cam.com/video/cNi-OEjzMdA/v-deo.html “Swan Song” ua-cam.com/video/bK21cuI-V7c/v-deo.html “MDO” ua-cam.com/video/4jhqEGTKoSg/v-deo.html and “We the United” ua-cam.com/video/UnNxvgLI_Rg/v-deo.html from the second concert. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” ua-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/v-deo.html The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: “Set the World on Fire” ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. “Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, from the same concert; "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html; Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html. Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. She is self-taught on the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ua-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/v-deo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" ua-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/v-deo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html "Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html "Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html. Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far-I encourage you to see and decide for yourself! You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
Welcome to the fold. There's lots to love and enjoy. Hold onto your hats. I believe they are playing 14th June 2024, New Cross Inn, London, and yep they've been here before, supporting Dragonforce on one of their tours funnily enough.

Thanks for your review and welcome to the world of the immensely talented Lovebites. I only discovered them in the last few years, now my life has been changed forever! Also worth checking out are, ‘Set The World on Fire’, or ‘The Hammer of Wrath’(really thrashy but still melodic), or for some slightly ?gentler? numbers, ‘Swansong with the Chopin Intro’ , or ‘Frozen Serenade’. But all their songs are great. Their London concert, scheduled for June, sold out within hours, I’m one of the lucky ones that managed to get a ticket 😊
All the best Rock and Metal is being made by female, Japanese bands. You've added Band-Maid and now Lovebites to your....thingy...of music but there's lots more out there....Nemophila (all female) or Asterism (female led) for example. Loving your reactions to them all! One of the many great things about these Japanese female bands that I love is that no-one - no matter how fast or complex the thing they're playing is, they smile through it all! Western male bands take note - we know it's difficult but drop the stank faces! Great news that you have The Warning tickets. I'll be seeing them in Cardiff on the 26th April.
Love that you’ve done Band-Maid and Lovebites! There are so many excellent Japanese female bands, Buuuut I’d love to throw out a South Korean female rock band - Rolling Quartz- song Fearless they are amazing but not really well known.
congrats. you´ve found one of the best bands around. they were influenced by iron maiden, judas priest, metallica, slayer, many more, classical musical too. they toured UK with dragonforce, won metal hammers best newcomer award in 2018.. stick with them, it´s totally worth it. their backcatalogue of around 60 songs now shows, that they do not know, how to write a bad, stale or mediocre song. they come to the UK this summer. london show was sold out immediately, but maybe there will be other shows.as next one I´d recommend their "we the united" live 2023 from their channel, talent, joy and energy galore. thank you for your great reaction and prepare for the wolfpack invading your channel.
Haha! I was waiting for you to discover Lovebites and I knew you would love them. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of information about them in the comments. The “Wolfpack” as the followers are known, are very nice and supportive. Just a couple of my recommendations as everyone will have their own favourites. A Frozen Serenade to me is a masterpiece, and I don’t use that word very often. Shadowmaker is another good one. There are so many good songs. Miyako, the dark haired guitarist on the right, is also an amazing classical pianist. To see this check out Swan Song with the Chopin Etude beginning. Miho, the bassist you see on this video, left the band and during COVID they had auditions for a new bass player. Her name is Fami and she is a monster. You can find videos from their first concert live together. My favourite is Haruna, the drummer. At 4’9” she is the little engine that could.
TBH, I thought at this age and era I'd had become a bitter metalhead for now, seeing the genre I love slowly dying. But I'm at my most optimistic and happy. And yes, Lovebites is a huge reason for that. There are also other wonderful bands carrying the torch but they became my guiding star. I'll love them till death🐺❤️
Midori and Miyako playing with Dragonforce in London ua-cam.com/video/KnGPZxfOAmg/v-deo.htmlsi=A51RzXOKxqCFd60n This was back in 2019, when both bands were touring together in the UK.
Hello welcome to the best power metal band these days. Actually I've been watching them in 2019 when they toured together with DragonForce .M&M (Miyako the black hair and Midori the blonde)the best duo guitar right now. They are coming back to the UK in June. I'd love to propose to you to check out the song A Frozen Serenade live in Tokyo. Enjoy 🎉
They did tour England, 2019! They also opened for Dragonforce! So far, they have a show @New Cross Inn, UK, June 14, 2024 ! If you can, you SHOULD, go to see them🤘🐺🤘!
The tickets were sold out in a few hours. The same thing happened in Atlanta (September 2024, USA) - the tickets were sold out in a few hours. There are also no tickets for the LOVEBITES performance in France (Hellfest Summer Open Air, MainStage)
@@GrayFox14 'The tickets were sold out in a few hours.' What is happening? Why do their management/promotion team not see the appeal these ladies have? I have my ticket for the one and only show, up to now, in the UK and it will be amazing to see them up close, but, do these ladies not know how popular they are outside Japan? They could be filling venues of 1,000 plus up and down the country.
@@GrayFox14 'The tickets were sold out in a few hours.' Not surprising as it's their only show in the UK and it's only a 350 capacity venue. Why is that their management/promotion team don't seem to realise their popularity? These ladies deserve so much better than they seem to be getting from their team.
@@wildething7923 The same thing happened with tickets to LOVEBITES in Atlanta ('ProgPowerUSA XXIII' Festival, September 6, 2024). Tickets were sold out in 15-20 hours. Outside of Japan, LOVEBITES did not perform for four years (the Covid-19 pandemic, the departure of leader and bassist Miho, Miyako and Asami gave birth to babies, etc.). LOVEBITES gave its last concert outside of Japan in January 2020 (Singapore). The team and the Label are doing what is logical from their point of view (from a music business perspective). They believe that the main thing for LOVEBITES to return to the international stage in 2024 is to perform at major Rock Festivals in different countries. Concerts in halls and clubs are an addition to performances at major Festivals. This guarantees ticket sales and fuels the interest of European and American music lovers in LOVEBITES after a 4 year break. If the 2024 concerts are successful, then the next International Tours will rent concert halls with a large number of spectators. I think that the Label and team have chosen this strategy to promote LOVEBITES to Europe and America. We must take into account the fact that Japanese bands (with rare exceptions) in Europe and America are still little known among music lovers. By the way, in Japan (September 1, 2024) LOVEBITES will perform at the 'Tokyo Garden Theater' (capacity 8000 spectators). IRON MAIDEN will also perform at the 'Tokyo Garden Theater' in September 2024.
@@wildething7923 Perhaps in addition to the concert (June 14, 2024, London) there will be more concerts in the UK. The World Tour schedule continues to expand. LOVEBITES management is also analyzing what is happening.

The BEST female band of Japan and one the top bands in the world
Facts!
@SomethingToDo360 just in terms of sheer virtuosity they're right there at the pinnacle of Japanese metal. If not at the tip top of the spire!
Not joking.
yup - i'm with you alek@@alekhidell
As Brits, you'll find it interesting that the biggest influence on LOVEBITES are classic NWOBHM bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.
It's about time someone else said this! Having lived that period this band I can really appreciate 😎🤟
@@noelle3551I would think that would be pretty common knowledge among the fans.
@@guitarzen5999 , you would think so. However, many do not see it!
AMAZING!!!!!
M&M (Miyako and Midori) the best duo TODAY¡¡

LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
SOLO: midori
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
SOLO: miyako / midori / both
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

Welcome to the Wolfpack!! 🤘🏻🐺
Insane!!! Thank you 🙂
Ive got a ticket to see them in London in June.🤘
Wow lucky you 😊. Have a great time.
I was so gutted they sold out so fast and it's a small venue as well.
Thank you for your reaction to my favorite heavy metal band! Lovebites!🤘🏼
Best current Metal / Thrash / Rock Band out today. Keep em coming.
As far as I know Akane and Haruna are friends.
@@klasgadd1895 I think that is correct
We are trying to get tickets for the London show in June!! We will get them 🙂
@@RealLifeCoupleReact Good luck
Going to be in Ittre as well, taking a 4 hours car ride to experience them in that small venue 😊
It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal, hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk.

"WE ARE LOVEBITES AND WE PLAY HEAVYYYY METAAAAL!!!"
Stay safe. Stay Lovebites.
LOVEBITES is one of the best heavy metal bands today! 🤘
" don't you tell me" by band maid that you reacted to before,.
members of lovebites were watching band maid's performance at Yokohama arena.
so they are friends who respect each other.😊
Lovebites and Band-Maid are the best bands from Japan in my books. They're actually two of my 3 favorite bands. The other one is from Australia.
I would include Nemophila and The Warning!
The Warning has too much of a mainstream rock sound that I'm not into and Nemophila and the rest of the Japanese bands don't do it for me. That's just me tho.
As an Aussie, I'm interested in who that "other" band is. Also, Hanabie from Japan are awesome too.
@777Phoebe KGLW
Anyone who experiences this will be speechless‼️
And to meet Fami, from Knockin' At Heaven's gate 2023, "Hammer of Wrath", "Judgement Day", and "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)"
great reaction, folks. Thank you for reacting and supporting Lovebites, the most talented ladies in Metal.
For a different side of them: “Chopin etude + Swan song”, “Edge of the world”, “Empty daydream”, “Epilogue”, “A frozen serenade”, “Glory to the world”, “Liar”, “Spellbound” (all live; but “Glory…” and “When…” have great MVs)
Japanese female musicians are extraordinary, especially guitar players.
I saw Rolling Quartz at the O2 London recently, as part of their very first EU tour, it was a great concert and the audience loved everything they did.😊
Awesome and epic ha!! Love lovebites!!!! Midori💚💚💚💚💚 miho💜💜💜💜💜

Asami : vocal, Midori : guitar on right-wing and Haruna : drum from LOVEBITES were there, BAND-MAID live at Yokohama Arena you've reacted to "Don't you tell me". And I was there too😄
The words to discribe this right here is shock and awe. Kinda overwhelmed in the most delightful way. Keep doing the angel's work B&F!
👍👍Awesome, LOVEBITES bringing the 🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!! 🖖❤
Literally!!! Pure fire!!! Amazing!!
They’re the queens of metal now 🔥🔥in the planet
The Heavy Metal Heavyweight Champions of the world 💯🤘🔥🐺🔥🤘
As you mentioned Dragonforce, Lovebites toured the UK as support to them when they were relatively unknown.
More dates to be announced soon!

yeah Lovebites does that!!! discovered them 3 years ago got every cd/dvd - listen to them daily and still get choked up,goosebumps and teary eyes...keep exploring they are mindblowing!
As one of your new subscribers who suggested that you check out this band, thank you for this reaction. I knew you'd be impressed! 😅
As others have mentioned, please check out some of their later live material since 2023 with new bassist Fami. Also worth a look are their masterpiece tracks from the previous lineup, A Frozen Serenade or Swan Song, the older version with the Chopin piano intro by Miyako. She's the dark haired guitarist, composer and musical genius. Enjoy!
The best guitar duo in the universe.
Miyako-Dark hair.
Midori-Blonde hair
You've come upon the Metal Queens 🤘. More great Japanese metal bands to explore, many all female. Bands to check out - Aldious, Mary's Blood, Bridear, Nemophila, Fate Gear, Trident, East of Eden, Unlucky Morpheus, Hagane, Galneryus, Asterism. Your journey into Japanese rock/metal has just begun if you want to take it.

The lead singer. She is a former ballerina dancer.
The lady playing the first guitar solo is an former concert pianist virtuoso. (Miako)
And she started play piano at the age of 3 and started play guitar at the age of 18.
The other guitarist is competing in Japanese bodybuilding "fitness" on high level. And is also an remarkable good acustic guitar player... (Midori)
Very few live bands that I can think of is capable of sound so great live sound and technicaly skilled so its sounds so good as they do.
Epica and Nighwish comes to mind, but on the same skill level not many more....
They are all very short.
The drummer Haruna is 4.9" and her nick name is "little big engine"
Since this concert was made and on their latest album they have a new basist .

And Aldious, that also have two incredibly talented female guitarist
Yes guys, this is Lovebites,The Goddesses of Heavy Metal.

Hard to play favorites, but if you liked this song....you're going to love everything else coming from Lovebites. At 57yo, this metalhead has supplanted all his metal heroes with Lovebites being my absolute #1.
We can't wait for more 🥰
Fantastic first reaction to Love bites!. Great job.
LOVEBITES have performed in the UK many times, as far back as 2017. Those early performances, including their full set at Bloodstock 2018, are on UA-cam.
There are so many all female Japanese bands out there. So far I have found 25 bands and still searching for more.

Ah welcome to the wonderful world of Lovebites, These ladies are by far the most amazing musicians I've come across for a long time the Wolfpack 🐺 will guide you through the forest of Lovebites amazing music enjoy
Kind regards Wolfpack UK 🐺🤘🥁🎤🎸🎹🎶🔥🤯🤘

There are tickets available for Lindau in Germany (18th). I‘ve got already mine. It‘s on the way from Belgium to Milan …
@@stand.and.deliver.5 Can't go to that one it's not very close from Munchen airport and might be hard to get to Milano on time so have to pass on this one unfortunately
I got tix to Belgium and Milano. See you there!
Can't wait.
LOVEBITES will be in the UK on June 14 - New Cross Inn, London, UK. Tickets may be sold out though, so you best hurry in case they aren't.
That show is sold out which is not a surprise since it is such a small venue. I am still scratching my head over why they are not booking bigger clubs.
Hahaha, love this girl’s reaction after the second verse. The man was shocked by her reaction.
Hi guys, welcome to the WOLFPACK FAMILY,more LOVEBITES and you will be amaze more, regards from philippines..🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thank you from the Uk
Hahaha this is brilliant! They are a talented bunch!!!
And now you’ve only got to look at Nemophila, Gacharic Spin, Aldious, Fate Gear, Unlucky Morpheus, The Wagakki Band and loads more. All amazingly talented , you may never leave Japan!!!!
and East of Eden

I would leave Japan everyday without question.. To see The Warning band wherever they are...
Japan is where rock lives now.
Love Lovebites 🐺🤘🏴
You have now uncorked the bottle, there is no putting this genie back in. There are over 50 more songs by Lovebites, many are even better than this one, and you ain't seen nothin yet. Enjoy this journey, it will be the ride of your life! 🤘🔥🎸💥🤘
Glad you were introduced to Lovebites.
Hello 😃 Thank you for reacting to "Lovebites" on your channel ✨✨ I would like you to react to "Lovebites" live more on your channel 👍 I'm rooting for your channel from far away in Japan 😊✌️
Welcome to the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful ballads, heavy, power, speed, thrash metal.
Love, love her reaction to these female bands 😂
They have posted four performances from that DVD:
”Hammer of Wrath” ua-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/v-deo.html
“Judgement Day” ua-cam.com/video/yYEUGlFNBKc/v-deo.html
“Nameless Warrior” ua-cam.com/video/Dl29tiJCbNM/v-deo.html and
“Liar” ua-cam.com/video/YWHPfnJz2qk/v-deo.html
All of them are barn-burners.
They have also posted:
“Stand and Deliver” ua-cam.com/video/cNi-OEjzMdA/v-deo.html
“Swan Song” ua-cam.com/video/bK21cuI-V7c/v-deo.html
“MDO” ua-cam.com/video/4jhqEGTKoSg/v-deo.html and
“We the United” ua-cam.com/video/UnNxvgLI_Rg/v-deo.html
from the second concert.
Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” ua-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/v-deo.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc.
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
Here are more clips you should check out:
“Set the World on Fire” ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
“Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, from the same concert;
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html;
Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" ua-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/v-deo.html
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html
"Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html.
30K views Yeah!🤘🫡😂
Great reaction you two.. Knew you would like them.. Over 60 to go, so enjoy the ride.. Nemophila next? Obvious next step..

Thank you so much ❤
WELCOME TO THE GODDESSES OF MUSIC❤❤❤❤❤
congrats. you´ve found one of the best bands around. they were influenced by iron maiden, judas priest, metallica, slayer, many more, classical musical too. they toured UK with dragonforce, won metal hammers best newcomer award in 2018.. stick with them, it´s totally worth it. their backcatalogue of around 60 songs now shows, that they do not know, how to write a bad, stale or mediocre song. they come to the UK this summer. london show was sold out immediately, but maybe there will be other shows.as next one I´d recommend their "we the united" live 2023 from their channel, talent, joy and energy galore. thank you for your great reaction and prepare for the wolfpack invading your channel.

This was back in 2019, when both bands were touring together in the UK.
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥🔥🔥 Lovebites !!!
they play in June in London .... but it is sold out. (I'm be there :D )
It is the Wolf Metal
