Hi guys - if anyone have not said it yet. Then, there is a point to also look at the "Swansong with Chopin intro from Zepp Diver City 2020". Then you will see Miyako play Chopin. For some reason they do not have this in this video. Maybe she did not do it? Whatever, look at the other one. Its fun. And if you do not want to make a reaction of it, then you can freely look at it any time you wish now, when you have done this reaction. I promise - its worth it.
When I heard the end, then the piano here was way TOO LOW. That might be why it was removed in the beginning. It was not well miked. The zepp diver city 2020 concert is one of the best audio takeups of Lovebites.
Although a great track in all the recordings available, the version from 2020 Live at Zepp Diver City, which has Miyako performing a Chopin intro is THE VERSION to watch - the piano is much clearer and well represented, while here it really isn't well recorded. Honestly, do yourselves a favor and try it: ua-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/v-deo.htmlsi=p1UUY1DM7CM-REKd Two things better in the version here you reacted to are Asami's vocal and Fami on bass. Still, so many more Lovebites tracks to take in - try "A Frozen Serenade" (live)...
When you have time , do yourself a favor and listen to to the 2020 version with the Chopin intro. As good as this was the other version is magic. Thanks for your reaction.
In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was called the "November Revolution" but ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agent presented "Etude OP10, No. 12" in Paris. Because of the agent's exaggerated publicity, people called this piece "Revolutionary Etude. Miyako (guitar/keyboards) composed "Swan Song" based on this "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude" and inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake. "SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES could complete.
Well if you want to really hear Swan Song with the Chopin piano intro try ua-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/v-deo.html Trust me you haven't experienced this song till you try this version as it is a much better recording and is the complete song which shows off Miyako's classical piano skills. Much like Frozen Serenade LIVE ua-cam.com/video/sEjN7dAh4ok/v-deo.html the insane talent in this band is almost illegal. I have many friends who say this group should be broken up as they seem to have a monopoly on talent...LOL
This was their comeback concert in 2023 , after 2 years due to restrictions and the search for a new bassist. Meet Fami, she joined in Oct 2022 after a long search. (Miho left in 2021). Miyako plays a Chopin piano intro on this song ,as well as that outro. That intro was played here, but for some reason wasn't included in the posted video. Recommend checking out that intro by watching this song's performance at the Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 concert (same show as the Holy War video you watched). She also recorded the piano backing track during the song. When you come back to them, check out their thrash side. "Hammer of Wrath" at this 2023 show, or "Thunder Vengeance" from the 2020 show. Both show openers.
Miyako is so talented, on guitar, piano and songwriting. But then they all are! You'll never go wrong with Lovebites...and they're in the UK this summer! PS Band-Maid released a live song yesterday but you'll both need tissues if you watch it! It's the 33rd song of the gig, the finale, and I'm proud to say I only cried the first 2 times I watched it. But I've got the dvd of the gig coming tuesday so I may get my own tissues in as there'll be a few tear jerkers in there.
Great reaction ! You should also check out another LIVE version of this song with the Chopin piano intro : ua-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/v-deo.html . The piano intro adds a different dimension to this epic neoclassical metal masterpiece. Another masterpiece that showcases how truly talented this band is, check out "A Frozen Serenade" LIVE : ua-cam.com/video/sEjN7dAh4ok/v-deo.html (this video has the best quality sound for this track).

Be sure to go back and listen to the 2020 version of this with Chopin intro. It also has a much better mix than this one. You can't hear Miyoko's piano outro nearly as well in this one as the 2020 version
Pro-tip for requestors. Make sure you specify which version and where to look for it so we don't get the wrong one like this. This one is okay, if you like bad mixing and no Chopin intro.
Oh-ha, only 2 songs from Lovebites - then get ready for a long journey - a fantastic journey - lots of musical ideas and possibilities! If you want to experience Lovebites, hurry up - even in Germany there are incredibly small venues, such as Lindau on Lake Constance - it's a shame, because I would like to see the womens live again, because on LP they are very, very good, but live they are simply a sensation - luckily I was already able to experience this band in Japan and Germany (Wacken 2018 - still with Miho on bass). Quick introduction of the current band members on stage. The basis of a metal band's existence is the drums and Lovebites has Haruna, also called "little, big engine", the drummer of metal (maybe I'm a little biased), Fami, the youngest in the band, a really great bassist quickly played its way into everyone's hearts. Then the ultimate "M-Pack", the lead guitar goddesses, Midori and Miyako (Miyako is also a pianist). Finally, the voice, the elegant, graceful Asami - this band is incredibly good, incredibly underrated and should already fill stadiums with the quality and genius on offer in the field of power metal! In her music portfolio there are only good songs, fantastic songs and sensational songs - especially in live recordings! p.s.: don't compare Lovebites with other bands - who might have influenced these women, because it would be unfair for all these bands, they don't reach the musical quality of Lovebites! Not a metal band from the 70s, 80s, 90s and so on! The musical qualities of these 5 women are outstanding.
Like most comments - the 2020 version is better. The vocalist spent many years in ballet - hence the stage movements. BTW I'm one of the lucky ones for the London gig. ☺ How about Liar live 2023 ua-cam.com/video/YWHPfnJz2qk/v-deo.html for your next LOVEBITES.
LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics: If this was the last day you could live on this earth Would you still go on, accusing someone for today It’s better to fail than not do anything at all It is not the length, but depth of life that counts Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been through despair Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to never care You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life Sometimes the life of one can save so many more Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: miyako / both Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: midori [guitar] / miyako [piano] ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Electric Pentagram 01/29/2020 ------
I got a ticket 😉! And also for another in Milan! If you do come down, I will look out for you guys! I will be flying in on the day! 😎🤟. It is not a large venue at all, surprisingly but I am sure they will return for a longer stay soon
The bassist who formed the band was huge into the british metal of the 80's Her idol is Steve Harris of Iron Maiden and her co founder drummer Haruna was huge into Helloween,
Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES. Very nice analysis and feedback. Thank you for your continued support of LOVEBITES. The London venue is already sold out, but the venue may be upgraded. Please be patient and do your research.
@@marks5451 I think it will be difficult at the moment because of the tight schedule of the world tour. 😂 This is possible if there is availability at another large venue on the same day. Since it's post-pandemic, it's a very small possibility.😭
Everyone else has said watch the 2020 version with the Chopin intro, so I might as well join the club. Anyway you've still got Frozen Serenade and the 'E' songs to see Miyako tickling the ivories and Burden of Time to see her multitasking. And there's her solo album of piano covers as well. BTW Lovebites have got a song with 'witch' in the title ('Wicked Witch' on their last album 'Judgement Day').
Asami the vocalist has a background in Ballet as well as R&B before she joined Lovebites. The guitarist with the long black hair who moved onto the piano is Miyako. She studied classical piano since she was 3 years old, before teaching herself guitar in her late teens. I think all the members of this band have classical music educations, and it really shows in their compositions and playing. I'm one of the lucky 350 who has a ticket for the London gig in June. (sorry guys, not for sale lol) Really looking forward to seeing them live. For me they remind me so much of the bands I used to listen to and see live back in the 70's and 80's. They could just be the best band I have ever heard (IMO)
no offense to band maid, they have 6 reactions to the maids, you should post this on one of those, but in stead you try to steel the spot light from Bites.
The sound mixing on this concert is terrible !! Miyako is already playing the piano, but you can only hear the last minute! 2020 Zepp Divercity Tokyo concert is so much better:ua-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/v-deo.html
No, not terrible. Maybe not the best version for every song. But for some songs even the better version: MDO, We the united. And Shadowmaker, Don’t bite the dust, When destinies align are on a par.
When Miyako jumps on the piano at the end, the piano volume is too low. That is sad. However, we can clearly hear everything Midori is doing, since she is louder in the mix. When the song stops, and Miyako does her piano outro, you can clearly hear the piano. It's a different mix, but it's okay. One thing I noticed was: Miyako rushed her opening intro part just a bit. I think she might have been a little nervous. Again, it's perfectly okay. Big comeback show that was being filmed, so there was certainly a lot of pressure on them. They all did amazing. 10 out of 10 from me.
The piano they used here is the grand piano which is full acoustic and kinda hard to mix with other instrument.. while the 2020 concert they used baby grand which is digital semi acoustic that give it more easier to mix.. but you can hear the different sounds between the two's, in this show the piano sounds so acoustically real.. Well however, it's only my humble opinion at least...
Great reaction my friends. Lovebites' management is too conservative in my opinion by scheduling them at small venues. They want sell outs, but they should know that Lovebites are growing in popularity every day and should be booking larger venues going forward.
Especially the London venue is surprisingly small. It was sold out, before many even knew about it. Also the ticket prices make no sense. Small venue and such low price, they burn money IMO …
These girls/ladies are some of the best musicians in the world at the moment. There seems to be nothing that they can't do, and do really really well...........Miyako who plays the piano, was taught classical piano from an early age, and believe it or not has only been playing the guitar since her late teens !!! If you want to see what she is properly capable of, there is a studio recorded video where she plays both piano and guitar AT THE SAME TIME !!!
The reason this song became popular, is in part because of the version with the Chopin intro, so if you watch a different version, the impact will be less. It should be said too, that the reason many people want others to see Swan Song, is because of that piano part (beginning and end), while the end part on this video is also not as good as the Chopin intro version. Another song to check out from them is A Frozen Serenade, which also has a piano part to it, and is an incredible piece of music in how it all fits together, from start to finish. I highly recommend checking it out as well.
Yes, indeed. This version is failed in the mixing and missing the great piano etude. Please try this version from 2020. ua-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/v-deo.html
Listen to the audio commentary on KAHG II with translation (JPU). The mix is deliberate, to let us hear Midori playing the lead which is missing Miyako’s duet via soundtrack. You appear to have forgotten that the original song has no Etude, that is a live only, occasional addition. I really do wish people would stop dissing this version because in doing so you are dissing the band themselves. This version has been released in this format and this mix as a deliberate choice by them. Why does everyone think that they know better than the band, in particular Miyako, who actually commented on the streaming version that she WANTED Midori to be more prominent in the first part of the outro. It is a musical piece that has piano AND guitar and, when Asami enacts the dying Swan, the lights drop and the focus switches to Miyako. In telling newcomers that another version is “better” you are downplaying Asami, whose enunciation and clarity of English is a massive improvement, for which she deserves congratulation.
@@alekhidellI agree with you. And I personally think, both versions have elements that i like more in comparison to the other. Overall i also prefer the 2020 version, but the prevalent disliking of the KAHG version is misplaced. If Miyako’s guitar solo and the piano would be only a nuance more prominent in the mix, I think both version would be at least on par for my taste. And why they should release 3 identical versions in 2020, 2021 and 2023? That also would make absolute no sense … And for everyone who wants the Chopin Etude. Nobody holds you back to purchase the full concert!
@@alekhidell “The mix is deliberate, to let us hear Midori playing the lead” My post is referring only to the piano part, and didn’t mention the mix at all. The reason I don’t mention it, is because in my opinion, each mix can have their pros and cons. “You appear to have forgotten that the original song has no Etude” No, I didn’t. I’m explaining some of the appeal. “This version has been released in this format and this mix as a deliberate choice by them. Why does everyone think that they know better than the band” I think this is the area of confusion, as I’m one of the people who was defending the newer mixes, explaining to people why it’s not as bad as they think. I was explaining pros and cons. In my post here however, I was explaining the reason why I believe so many like the older version, which I’m suggesting, is actually because of them wanting people to watch Miyako’s piano work. That Miyako herself, is part of the appeal.
Midori is prominent on pretty much every Lovebites track, and is perfectly evident in the Zepp version. After the fact you can’t fix the piano and I will forever not believe the intent was to bury the piano in the mix for the KAHG release. Live recording gets you what you get. If a DI box wasn’t working (or whatever technical reason), then you’re left with the live acoustic mic, which is exactly what it sounds like in the mix. I have the BluRay and know what the commentary said. What would you say if there was a problem with the recording? You do the best you can in the mix and find an explanation that fits. The piano is lost in the mix on every track on the KAHG release - case in point Asami in We The United. I do agree Asami’s vocal is better in the KAHG version of Swan Song though - no question.
LOVEBITES - Knockin’ At Heaven’s Gate - Part II (2023-2024) Setlist: 1.Opening (The Five Coffins) 2.The Awakening 3.Holy War 4.Bravehearted 5.Golden Destination 6.Stand And Deliver (Shoot ’em Down) 7.Shadowmaker 8.Break The Wall 9.Empty Daydream 10.Piano Solo (Etude Op.10, No.12) 11.Swan Song 12.Judgement Day 13.When Destinies Align 14.M.D.O. 15.Under The Red Sky 16.Glory To The World 17.We The United
When I hear Lovebites, I know I've never heard anything like it. That's exactly what makes this band so unique for me. Every band is inspired by an older generation. Otherwise change wouldn’t be possible, right?
Best netal band today. Incredibly talented. Miyako (Piano & Guitar) is one of the most talented musicians I've had the pleasure of watching & listening to.. You are 100% correct that they always have some of thise old school metal vibes. Great reaction as well.
Great reaction, welcome and thank you reacting Lovebites, I suggest you to check, The Crusade or Bravehearted, live, Tokyo 2021, they're the best today, tight, fast, crazy note, never disappointed, carry on, tons to go, 👍👍👌

If you listen to the 2020 Five of a Kind version with the Chopin intro, then listen to this version, you can see why your viewers prefer the first version. We are used to excellence in sound when watching Lovebites live videos and the Knocking at Heaven's Gate version is not up to that standard. BTW, Belle is adorable.
In Japan, many children have a variety of individual lessons from an early age. Lead guitarist Miyako is learning piano, and vocalist Asami is learning classical ballet dance.
Hello, the other version is the one from 2020 with a Chopin intro by Miyako, you could also continue reacting to more Lovebites songs, they never disappoint, just choose a live song, mainly 2020 and 2021 with Miho as bassist or like this one from 2023 with Fami as the new bassist.

This is such a great song. This version unfortunately has (in my opinion) poor audio mixing, specifically with the piano being unable to be heard in the mix until all the other instruments stop playing. An earlier version that also had a Chopin introduction had a much better sound mix.
Sadly the sound designer messed this mixing up, cannot hear the guitar & piano levels properly, going forward i suggest you avoid this concert, there are better versions.
Give a chance to little know Japanese band: React to this strange/special Gothic Japanese female duo: *THE DEVIL’S KILLING MERRY-GO-ROUND.* Song: ディアボロス _(Traduction: Diabolos)_ React to this little known but really good Japanese band: *HELLO SLEEPWALKERS.* Song: 円盤飛来 _(Traduction: Flying Saucer)_
Thats my one disappointment about Lovebites. They don't seem to do many live gigs. That being said, as long as they release live material from the Live gig, that ok by me.
Good to know. Live 2020 and 2021 concerts has the best mixing, 2019 is not so much after. In my taste 2023, the mixing is a bit sloppy comparing with the others. And stay away from Bloodstock video, really crappy sound on those!
Probably not your fault but that of the person who recommended it. But be that as it may (and I can see the dislikes and I'm not the only one) here is my dislike for not seeing the correct version, the old one, with the intro on piano, with better audio and even with subtitles included... From Lovebites, live is almost always better, and the 2020 and 2021 concerts are the best. Some fans may insist with the new material, but that new material is actually quite poor in terms of camera handling and audio quality... You will see for yourself that I am not lying.

I seriously Concur!!😊
Yes it includes the Chopin Piano Intro by Miyako one of Chopin's great etudes
also The 2020 version is CC friendly with lyrics and Founding bassist Miho was still with the band.

Be sure to go back and listen to the 2020 version of this with Chopin intro. It also has a much better mix than this one. You can't hear Miyoko's piano outro nearly as well in this one as the 2020 version
the lady playing piano is a classically trained and believe it or not she didn't start playing guitar until she was 18
midori didnt start til 20. honestly, just way too much talent in this band from every member.
☺ How about Liar live 2023

LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics:
If this was the last day you could live on this earth
Would you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been through despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to never care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
SOLO: miyako / both

I got a ticket 😉! And also for another in Milan! If you do come down, I will look out for you guys! I will be flying in on the day! 😎🤟. It is not a large venue at all, surprisingly but I am sure they will return for a longer stay soon
The bassist who formed the band was huge into the british metal of the 80's Her idol is Steve Harris of Iron Maiden and her co founder drummer Haruna was huge into Helloween,
You should watch this with the Chopin intro. Miyako (dark haired guitarist is also a classically train pianist and plays a Chopin piano intro.
Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES.
Very nice analysis and feedback.
Thank you for your continued support of LOVEBITES.
The London venue is already sold out, but the venue may be upgraded.
Please be patient and do your research.
Do you really think it might be upgraded? I do hope do.
@@marks5451
I think it will be difficult at the moment because of the tight schedule of the world tour. 😂
This is possible if there is availability at another large venue on the same day.
Cue 500 comments saying you should have done the version with the Chopin Intro ( which TBH IS the better version ) but hey - ho 🤷♂🤣
I managed to get tickets for the London gig and I'm also on a waiting list with dice for tickets so if dice comes through I will let you know
Asami the vocalist has a background in Ballet as well as R&B before she joined Lovebites.
Band- Maid dropped a new live video Endless Story that I guaranty Belle will shed a tear watching.
no offense to band maid, they have 6 reactions to the maids, you should post this on one of those, but in stead you try to steel the spot light from Bites.
@@metalmaniac-um5re They don't go back to their old videos.
@@kennogawa6638 fair enough.
I doubt it...
The BEST metal band of Japan ,an one the BEST band metal in the world,in my opinion
I was gutted not to get a London ticket, but I looked and have tickets for Paris, 25th June €32.
Still availability!
They forgot to put a mike on the piano 🥲. The 2020 version of this song was much better mixed and had a great Chopin piano intro
@@soekenotjeksen2165Nope, this is the same digital Roland that Miyako used in 2020. Take a closer look.
A Lovebites masterpiece as always!❤🤘🏼
Next one 'Break The Wall' from Zepp diver city concert.
Or from knocking on the heavens gate
Great reaction my friends. Lovebites' management is too conservative in my opinion by scheduling them at small venues. They want sell outs, but they should know that Lovebites are growing in popularity every day and should be booking larger venues going forward.
Especially the London venue is surprisingly small. It was sold out, before many even knew about it. Also the ticket prices make no sense. Small venue and such low price, they burn money IMO …
Hi Finn & Bel. I'm sure the Wolfpack will have no problems with you reacting to the far better version with the Chopin intro.
🤟🏻🔥Lovebites🐺Masterclass🔥🤘🏻
Gracias por la reacción a mi banda favorita 👍🏻
That also would make absolute no sense …
And for everyone who wants the Chopin Etude. Nobody holds you back to purchase the full concert!
@@alekhidell “The mix is deliberate, to let us hear Midori playing the lead”
My post is referring only to the piano part, and didn’t mention the mix at all. The reason I don’t mention it, is because in my opinion, each mix can have their pros and cons.
“You appear to have forgotten that the original song has no Etude”
No, I didn’t. I’m explaining some of the appeal.
“This version has been released in this format and this mix as a deliberate choice by them. Why does everyone think that they know better than the band”
I think this is the area of confusion, as I’m one of the people who was defending the newer mixes, explaining to people why it’s not as bad as they think.

I would suggest to also react to the 2020 Five of a kind version with the Chopin Intro.
You missed the Chopin intro. Miyako showing her classical genius on the piano.

In Japan, many children have a variety of individual lessons from an early age. Lead guitarist Miyako is learning piano, and vocalist Asami is learning classical ballet dance.

I’m glad you mentioned Motörhead vibes, I got that the first time I heard it, but nobody else has ever said that!!!
Great reaction. They are the queens of metal now. I hope your next reaction song called shadow maker live 2021 you will see something different
This is such a great song. This version unfortunately has (in my opinion) poor audio mixing, specifically with the piano being unable to be heard in the mix until all the other instruments stop playing. An earlier version that also had a Chopin introduction had a much better sound mix.
Want to continue down the J rock rabbit hole? This new band are making waves: TWILIGHT / ステミレイツ - STMLT
Sadly the sound designer messed this mixing up, cannot hear the guitar & piano levels properly, going forward i suggest you avoid this concert, there are better versions.
Check out Wagakki Band sometime.

Thats my one disappointment about Lovebites. They don't seem to do many live gigs. That being said, as long as they release live material from the Live gig, that ok by me.
This is fantastic but….i don’t think it is as good as the earlier official live with Chopin intro….
