True that singing harmonies is cool for a drummer, but June makes it easy by playing *exactly* the same in every bar the whole way this track. I remember that so well from when this was first broadcast........

"Our Lips Are Sealed" is a song written by The Go-Go's guitarist Jane Wiedlin and The Specials and Fun Boy Three singer Terry Hall. It was first recorded by The Go-Go's as the opening track on their 1981 album Beauty and the Beat (see 1981 in music) and served as their debut American single in June 1981. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Lips_Are_Sealed

Heard this on Chris Evans Radio 2 this morning, made my hair stand on end. Guessing last time I heard this it was in the charts, must have played it about ten times now! It's one of them (many) 80's songs that transports you back 30 years to a glorious decade of music, sad that you can't go back but happy to have experienced it...and as for June on drums...she looks cooool AND hot!
I'd go back in a heartbeat if I could. I was 15 in 1980. A great time to grow up.
Made your hair stand on end? I know what you mean and agree, but I no longer have hair to stand on end. I can sill do the "Office chair boogie" to this, though!
Genius. Best band of the 80s. IMO
Goodnight Terry Hall. A legend...
Rip...I dont know much about this band...but I love it
Masterpiece ❤
One of my very early favourites in my early teens. It still stands up today that song.
Sublime song! Great performance .
Makes me feel so melancholic. The music the clothes I was 17.. Please take me back... 😢
I heard Terry Hall on the radio the other day celebrating 40 years of the specials, 40 years??? Seems like a couple of years ago listening to the specials/ fun boy threein the charts, the years are flying by!!
The Specials/Fun Boy Three used to have parties in which they ate pies with fillings made up of aborted human fetuses.
