It was meant to. The scriptwriter for the ceremony, Frank Cottrell Boyce (one of Britain's best current writers for children) was inspired to become a storyteller at about the age of 8, by the intermission in the film of _Chitty Chitty Bang Bang_ (if the intermission does not exist on streamed versions, that would be regrettable because it's a superb narrative device)
I was one of the kids on trampolines and this is the first clip I've seen of myself. Thank you so much for sharing this, it's a memory I will truly cherish for the rest of my life.
@@feriedust4402 Each country that hosts the Olympics has it's own creative cultural performance as part of the ceremony. This one was representing British History and culture. This was just one section and it celebrated the work of Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital. Just look at videos of any other country's opening ceremony.
This clip takes a whole different dimension todya wouldn´t yo say?
This would terrify me as a child.....

It was a spell cast.
Thanks for sharing this footage!
That was fun, especially since it is 2020 now and the Olympics have been postponed due to the pandemic.

Great stuff, seeing a different angle like this. Thanks for uploading!
Considering how relatively underprivileged millions of people are in so many other countries, I think you have a valid request here, Tom.
I've had 2 operations with the NHS, and have been in A&E at NHS hospitals.
The NHS has been great to me. I don't know where I would be without it.
I've just spent a lot of time in hospital too after an accident and my treatment is ongoing. Never felt so grateful to have the NHS.
Thats cool but what is the relevance to the Olympics?
