Do you know what a tracheotomy is? Do you know what pneumonia does to ones lungs? He was absolutely 100 percent of what he was and could give on this night and it was all he needed to be.

Although his voice was shaky, still he could sing 1000 times better than most singers nowadays
Just a year before he had that near fatal pneumonia that landed him in the hospital with a coma and a tracheotomy so that he could breathe. It's amazing that he performed at the London Olympics a year later.
Don‘t think it‘s his voice that‘s shaky, sounds clearly like a technical problem to me.

I took my wife to see George as she was a huge fan of his. The guy had it all. Amazing voice, good looking dude, great songs. There will never be another like him

I was at his concert in the Netherlands June 26, 2007. His birthday was the day before and halfway the show, the crowd spontaneously sang Happy Birthday. His reaction was sweet as unbelievable, we saw he was shy and didn't like the attention, but smiled anyway. It was so, so sweet. I don't think there was a more humble artist as he was. 💖

This was so exciting on TV, and I loved White Light, his other song he performed that wasn't shown in the USA, but I saw online. I don't care what "80's-90's" fans think. We "lovelies" love his maturity on his later songs of all the albums we bought that he put out, plus the one offs that weren't part of an album, like White Light. I wish his family would release some more of his unknown songs, there's certainly a few more other than "This Is How".

Seeing this for the first time in 2020. George looked like he was near the end of something. Who knew that 4 1/2 years later he would pass away on Christmas Day, 2016. I'm so glad I got to see him perform live in concert, in Vancouver Canada, on July 4, 2008. Thanks George for a great show and the fantastic music. I will be raising a toast to you on your birthday on June 25th. Cheers!

I remember watching this on TV and thinking he is stronger than ever and how we will get a lot more music from him, and just 4 years later he passed away. Breaks my heart❤️

Definitely one of the best singers the uk has produced. One of the singers that if your hear him live he sounds exactly like a studio recording….. Brilliant and sadly missed.

There were such epic moments in these ceremonies, this was huge. The crowds reaction to the intro says it all. You're loved and missed, George Michael.

what i find amazing is , if you listen you can hear the vibrato so heavy in his voice in this song... you could hear it every once in awhile when he was younger and it seemed to get less and less over the years . Robin Gibb is the only other person who i have ever heard with such a heavy vibrato.... i miss George and his music...may he finally be at peace

This tremoring of the muscles actually makes the wavering sound we hear as vibrato! But rather than a wobbly or unsteady sound, a well-trained vibrato sounds amazing!

It's a symptom of the live auto-tune being used
I love George to death but this is not vibrato, this is live auto tune to help keep the pitch stable. It’s very noticeable here because it’s on an ungodly high mode which I don’t think was necessary, but oh well too late to critique. Still great high energy performance from him.
Yes let's make him a legend cause that's what he is. Such a shame he doesn't know how much we all care about him.

Covid will never be over if people think that freedom is just given. Freedom is fought for. Covid should be a lesson well learned. Just like 9/11. You NEVER EVER trade away freedom for the illusion of safety and security. It never comes back. Freedom doesn't end no matter what the scenario is! Especially, in the United States. Start fighting, or our ancestors and forefathers fought for nothing! Communism is in our sights. See it, YET?! Wake up!!!!

One of my all time favorite artists. Remember seeing his first appearance with WHAM! on American Bandstand. Then his Faith Album was the soundtrack of my years in college. Was fortunate to see him in concert in 2008/9. Such a talent and a great showman. Gone way too soon. Left an undeniable legacy of great music, videos and performances.
