Awesome vid man. Love every second of it can’t wait for the next one 🤙🏽
❤️
Whiting are such good fun to catch. Bloody good spot there mate. Good on ya!
Awesome video Josh. I really liked your intro with the close ups of the rod, reel and lures. Funny how the black bream didn't want to join the party, but the good old flatties came for a look!
I've had a couple of sessions lately trying to catch whiting on surface lures........I've "got the gear but no idea" as they say. I just can't seem to get the twitch and wind right - I'll persist until I get it right.
Keep the great action coming....and all the best for work and Christmas!
Great session Josh, how awesome is surface fishing!!
Yeah those whiting made my days fishing for sure🙌🏼 and nothing beats a bit of surface action
Great stuff champion , keep em comin' ! 🤙🎣🤙
Definitely going to be trying out that lure soon! Good stuff mate!
I love watching his videos because I love fishing myself when I started at the age of 2 and now I’m 14. Great job mate keep fishin 👍🐟

That’s the goal. Glad I could help you learn a thing or two👌🏼
Enjoying all the way from South Africa!

Topwater is easy the most fun style of fishing!
That was an awesome video great catch josh
Always good when things don't go to plan but work out better. Good session Josh. Surface lures look like a lot of fun, i haven't tried it yet but i just bought a couple of MMD SPLASH PRAWNS, i heard they're pretty good so I'll give them a go. Good viewing mate.
totally agree with what you said about you keeping fish !
💪🏼
No shortage of whiting! Thats a proper topwater session, very motivating 🙏🏼 great feed nothing wrong with taking a few home
We need to see you out there now chasing some topwater whiting mick!! I know there is some good area in syd🤙🏼
Love your videos keep it up your sure to blow up and I can’t wait to see it!
Should chuck on your chief hat and do a catch and cook!
Best half hour of me day, jolly good show as always lad.
The prawns were plenty not long ago in the lake, sure helps fire up them silver torpedoes on the surface lures, unlucky on the bream mate.
Gee your a good chap for taking home a feed for ya mum👌
Glad you enjoyed the vid: and mum enjoyed the whiting very much🙂
Love the whiting fishing.
good day young boy. good stuff you are getting out there and enjoy before hitting 15 years of ages
what are you talking about? the blokes driving around on his own, had to be at least 17 at the time of filming this.
Great video as always Josh, you ever plan on chasing some mangrove jacks? I’d be keen to see how you target them and pick up some tips on the way
Hey brayden. I will chase jacks one day. But I don’t have any plans on travelling far at the moment. I live heapssss far away from any jack territory
Love your intros little big man. Im 35 KEEP EM GOING BROTHER! Your fishing skills a joy to watch matey.
Appreciate that mate🤙🏼

great vid keep up the great work
Cheers Janice will do :)
Love ur vids please keep it up
Will do!
Great session on the whiting champion, I've got the smaller size slippery dog and it's great on the bream,
Yeah I’ve seen it doing well on bream. Do you know if they like it on a long pause? Or do they hit it like whiting as it’s skipping fast
@@joshdfishing Yeah mate, definitely a pause , even up to ten seconds , had them hit it just as you start a twitch, so i think they will sit under it for a while making up there mind to eat it or not, that's when scent can come into play,
I am heading out tomorrow morning to try the new Pro Lure clone prawn, new 92 mm soft plastics prawn that looks amazingly real,
@@anthonycox1870 good luck mate. It is a good lookin lure
What a video keep it up u legend love the top water sessions yewwwwwwwwwww can't wait till next week location looks amazing for big flathead any hints on the new job
The job is in the fishing industry
Haha that’s funny your fishing where our camp was pretty sure it’s lake tuborie
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
that shelter that you knocked on was a lazer skurmish shelter which is outdoor lazer tag
Next time try Decoy Nail Bomb jighead fished weedless in heavy structure Josh. Much better than a normal jighead getting snagged every second cast.
Love your videos Josh just wanted to know how you went in the reel it in flatty comp this weekend
Thanks jon. I did horrible in the comp. there was heaps of boats out and I was trying to land base it. Biggest fish was 49cm. And then today legit the day after he comp, I got a 81cm flatty. So typical🤣
Wow, feast or famine! Just bought one of these lures too! :)
They won’t let you down👌🏼
@@joshdfishing Looks like there's a bit of an art to the retrieve on these though! :)
First baby great vid mate
gives me hope that i can land whiting on top water. i seen some old boys with a hessian sack tied around their belt to keep their whiting fresh till pack up,
Another great vid Josh! What do you enjoy better, the T curve or Grub freak?
Nothing beats the Millerods. I don’t even wanna use the t-curve after fishing the Millerod. Just nothing beats it
great video but i was wondering where you got that bragmat from?
Sorry for a late comment, but what lure did you use for the whiting? Also nice fishing, love it! Keep it up!
Ohhh yeeeeeeeww
thoughs whiting where super impresive
great video just coming down to mollymook on jan 7th seeing if you are keen to have a fish are you near there?
nice vid josh
Cheers jordy
I love it ur Video
I’m 11 and is the catana c3000hg a good reel as my first proper reel
I love your videos and u teach me how to fish
Thanks Henry mate
Great videos josh and do
You live in Forster nsw
I picked up one of these slippery dogs the other day, just wondering what is the best technique? D o u have any suggestions
Nice mate 👍😎
Thanks mate
@@joshdfishing are you from Aussie?
@@SahabatAnglersIndonesia yes
@@joshdfishing i hope we can build our channel mate 👍🙏
was the Daiwa slippery dog 65mm or 80mm
Big fan
Much luv
🐐
❤️
Nice fish
Cheers mate
Hey mate I was just letting yk if u use a blade clip u can just swap lures easier without wasting leader
Josh, what “main line” do you use. I really liked the “assist hooks”…were they on the lure or did you incorporate them yourself. Another well produced instructional video….thanks Josh.
hey mate, if you check the description, you'll find all the gear and brands he uses in the videos. the lure is a daiwa slippery dog, they come pre rigged with assist hooks.
@@alexsss79 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Catch and cook soon
noticed 5mins in you lost your grub and hook. just wondering how often snags like that happen in areas like this? in the last week alone I've gone through 12 jighead and soft plastics to just rocks in the Hopkins river, which makes me question using them at all in areas like this despite the reason I began is because numerous people do
Love the video can you go for a flathead fish soon 🤙🏻
Sure mate
@@joshdfishing thanks
Try the new holt x mmd splash prawn
Are you using fluoro or mini leader for the topwater whiting? And was that the bigger model slippery dog or the smaller one ?
Always using a fluro leader ALWAYS. And this is the 80mm slippery dog
@@joshdfishing true yea I see allot of people using fluoro with top water but allot of people recommend mono because it floats.....I think the fact that the fish can't see the fluoro as well may help more though
Great video cool to catch a flathead on the first cast👍
Nothin like a first cast special. Glad you enjoyed mate
What’s the weight of the surface lure
How did you go in the reel it in fishing comp I caught a 85 cm
At least someone did well. I went terrible😅
What kind of gopro do you use to film?
GoPro hero 9
@@joshdfishing wow lol do you think a gopro hero 5 would be glitchy as?
@@Aussie_Fishing_Aus what ever you can afford to start filming with is better than filming with nothing. Film some footage and see how it turns out👍🏼
@@joshdfishing because i have a gopro hero 5 and i started filming the other day and lost a mangrove jack but on the gopro footage on the gopro its super clear but on my phone the video is really bad and glitchy but idk why bc the lense was clean
Hey mate great job. Sooo keen for summer topwater. I got 2 tackle trays dedicated to topwater lures. If your ever keen for a fish mate, hit me up!
Those were some cracker whiting
Yew
were do u fish at ??
South coast of nsw
Great video. Do you have your drivers license?
Yes obviously
Nice
Hey josh where abouts is this spot
It’s near Jervis bay👍🏼
We’re are you fishing?
South coast of nsw
Where are you based? Mid North Coast?
But keep fishing big boi
Great fishin mate but please carry your rods backwards. It stop breaking the tops off
The only time I’ve ever broken a rod is carrying it backwards. It catches on all the branches and shit as you walk through the bush.
@@joshdfishing never had that happen but now I think about it, yep, definitely a possibility. Mate they were great whiting. Can I ask where you were? I'm retired, can't get around so I'm just interested to know. I was a keen fisherman like you in my younger days.
do you live in uludula becuose if you do next time i come down there you will have to take me fishing
Nah I live in Papua New Guinea
@@joshdfishing sure but i saw funland behind your local tackle shop
How long could you keep a fish out when killed before it turns bad ?
Also, do you bleed every fish you kill after catching ?
Your location please?
How old are you josh
19
🤣🤣🤣🤣I'm going fishing
How old are you
40cm
Maybe don't kick fish back into the water?
Come on mate, show the fish some respect and pick them up. All big fish start small.
I’ve copped way to many spikes to the hand from the tiny fish. I’d rather slide them back. And it doesn’t hurt the fish
@@joshdfishing can’t cope a spike if you get them by the mouth. A thumb cut off a gardening glove or some bicycle inner tube over the thumb are great ways to prevent “flatly thumb”.
Not trying to be dismissive or negative, it’s hard to convey tone over the internet. Keep up the good content.
Getting lucky is not a skill josh
