There is no doubt Josh that you are a production of choice for many anglers ….. the reason being in my opinion is like me, many would be annoyed by other productions have drifted into the “watch me catch a fish” where your productions are informative, instructional and aimed at many varied techniques. Thanks again for sharing another great video Josh and I hope the weather improves for you to continue to enjoy your passion.
Bro you video actually make my day your a living legend please give this man millions of subs the amount of quality you put in your vids is amazing much respect man I wish the best for yous my homie good luck catching the 2.8 metery flatty dogs my homie respect man 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾 yewwww keep up the good vids
Another great video. I enjoy every minute . You could also try a couple of blades in your mix of lures when you change up. Some beautiful colouration the flathead. Cheers
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Good to have you back Josh! I’ve used the last 3 weeks to watch all of your vids, some of them a couple of times. I’ve also invested in a couple of miller rods, vibe freak (flatties) and beast buster (snapper). They’re exceptional rods. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your passion and knowledge.
Great vid, worth the wait champ. Might suggest investing in a pair of “seal socks” given all the impromptu wading you do, highly recommend them. Yewww 🤙🏾
Gedday there Josh, just have to congratulate you on the overall presentation, content, quality and outright effort that you put into the production of your vids .. and each one gets better! Love the enthusiasm and very natural way you chat to and inform your audience as you go. You’re a ‘natural communicator over all age groups too. You’ve a big future in this game my friend! Very Best Regards to you, Charles.
Get super excited everytime i see you upload a new video mate, im still learning fishing, your a great help have learnt alot from you keep it up bud 👍🏻🤙🏼
Hey josh I don’t know much different from deep sea fishing but a friend gave me some plastics and moving to Perth soon so gonna do river flatty fishing. Have a good day keep up the great vids bye ✌️
Good work mate, It's been a struggle here in Brisbane as well water clarity is back to soup thinking I'll be fishing fresh for a couple weeks possibly even months again and the DC48 is great been getting a few on it even got a nice 50+ bass on it and yeah the whiting seem to love em as well been getting them on both the DC48 and Spike 44.
Great vid, worth the wait champ. Also on the FG knot dont use it on anything lower than 8pound, use the lazy alberto knot. Easier to tie and no nonsense on tension, and it goes through guides and onto the spool easily. Also I suggest investing in a pair of “seal socks” given all the impromptu wading you do, highly recommend them. Yewww 🤙🏾 Tight Lines -Tone
Great vid as always Josh. I was wondering if you pinch your barbs because it seems sometimes its a little tough to get the hooks out. I know there are many schools of thought on this but as a long time fly fisherman its always been a standard that you pinch barbs if you are going to be releasing fish.
Yeah used to do this when fishing the freshwater ponds/streams for trout , crush the barb down with pliers for easier release/hook extraction. Funny how not many know of this little trick.
Hi Josh, great quality video, and i use light braid like you and never get an fg fail, i do 5 half hitches then a double before i trim leader, then 5 more above trimmed leader then a double to finish, also with the FG, i find it much easier to tie by putting the end of the braid in a hair pin and twisting 8 times then tucking into the end of my shorts or a fold in jeans and having the braid come across your leg from the right, that way your working in front and tension can be varied by your leg, after first hitch is done i hook jighead into butt and wind till tense so hitches are added much easier, if you dont get the idea i could send photos.. cheers.
GoPro and regular cameras you can get CPL & ND filters from about $100. They will add a huge amount of value to your footage, absolutely awesome once you get them dialled in. Another great vid mate! #roadto20k 🥳
Mate great advice on the technique side , im always trying different things . And just in case it helps , I only use the albright knot for my leader to the braid and its never once failed me . 👍🎣
Josh it's time you invested in a good pair of breathable waders, you can confidently fish in winter whilst its use in summer will stop pelican itch (sand flies) and you will be able to wade in deeper water giving greater access to the water. Another thing why don't you get yourself a light Blackfish/Luderick outfit, having a float down strike on camera would be cool and you could use it for bream.
Thanks for another great video josh really enjoyed this upload I’m looking at purchasing a milerods rod wich one would you recommend for your bream and flattys
Really cool video mate!! Sick B-roll 💪 try a shorter leader with the fg. Less eyelets the better. I don't run very long leaders at all. Still catch tons of fish. Good job mate quality 👌
@@joshdfishing no worries legend. Some tips are good some tips are shit. I just find out what works for me and go from there. Everyday we learn something new ☺️
Love the video bro, have you ever heard of the fg whizz? I use to have alot of problems with my fg, not saying you do because your videos are proof you can tie a solid knot buy anyway using tye fg whizz helped me alot with my knots lasting until my leaderbqas damaged or too shirt to use. Love the video as always, keep up the great content you should definitely be sponsored by someone
The worst thing about this video, is that there aren’t 5 of them uploaded daily. Love it man, what weight jig do you use for estuaries with big current? Also sunnies brand?

Salt strong is the best channel for knots, loving it
I agree
Another great video.

Video was worth the wait, production games stepped up a level bro! 👍👌
Tried to add some better cinematics. Still getting used to the new camera and all the setting I can use
Killer job mate, keep it up bro
I have the same issues with my fg, learned that finishing it off with a uni seems to help stop this issue. Got this from the Briggs’s tutorial
Not a surprise that you've come out with another banger vid joshy. Wish you could post more often. Keep it up!!!
I wish I could post more as well. Bad health + bad weather doesn’t go well…
Terrific fishing action and video Josh!! Quality all the way. Stay well and keep fishing champ!

Great vid man! Change the half hitches out for a ‘rizzuto finish’ on the FG and you’ll be set 👌🏼
Sweet thanks man
Shallow rock bar, little bit of wind, medium or shallow diver = money. My favourite way to catch bream.
Yeah I wish the wind was up just that slight bit more. But there was still a few up and feeding.
Love the video like always. Keep it up bro 🎣
day was a rough one until i saw a Josh D upload 🕺🏼🕺🏼

The youtube vid on the FG sounded like Luke from Saltstrong channel, he always has awesome insights into knots.
Yeah that’s what it was haha. Learnt heaps from salt strong In the past. And picked up another tip on this day out🙌🏼
Nice vid mate, would like to see more bream vids
Coming your way!
Nice one, noodles.
Cool vid thanks for sharing!
You should have your own TV show Josh.
You should do another subscriber recommended lure challenge and finally use those squidgy bloodworm wrigglers 😄🤙
Pure banger
5:52 "ah the serenity" Is that from that one aussie movie "the castle"?
The rain and wind in Brisbane is terrible aswell I couldn’t fish even if I wanted to
Thanks for another great video josh really enjoyed this upload

DAMIT wish I was first but I’m like 8th lol. Great video again, love the cintematics 👌👌 yeeeewww

For sunnies I use Makos
And in an estuary with lots of current I’d be looking at a 1/8th or 1/6th jighead👍

yeah whenever i do fg knots with light line such as 4lb it dose the same thing
