    Looking good Paul!! Keep up the good work!! Just one question if you wrap the car and not paint the actual colour on the new panels do you think its going to be hard trying to sell it as the person who may buy it might be scared if the wrap goes bad?

      I would have to agree, which is why I have found a new bodyshop who have agreed to paint the car for less and within my original budget. So I am prepping the car for paint, stay tuned.

    hi mate your videos are very helpful , I bought car too in auction , I didn't bought yet on copart but I buy car on john pye some times what you thing about jonh pye ?? and another question why you change all the parts on your seat leon before paint ?

    • @CarsForPaul
      @CarsForPaul  5 років тому

      Hi Denis, I have never used John Pye so can't really comment on how good they are but from what I can see, there is less of a choice of vehicles. And the reason why I changed the parts first before respraying is that I don't have to worry about damaging the finished paintwork whiles working on the car.

    Hi Paul - never rebuilt a car before but really want to don’t really have any knowledge on what cars to start with first.
    The other question is when you’ve rebuilt a car how can you put it back on the road legally?
    Cheers👍

      Hi Matthew, if you don't have any experience, I would suggest starting with a repo car from Copart with little or no damage. This will greatly reduce your risk whiles you gain experience, however, you will pay more for these cars.

    Question I have a 1998 toyota corolla. Getting a new car soon but have to wait. Until then I have this issue with a wind nose on my right passenger door . my mechanic sealed it up with both doors but I tested it out today on the road and I still hear the wind noise on the right. Probably because the right door when I first got the car had issues because the door was not professionally done properly. However u think if I get my mechanic to adjust from what u did will it help some? It's so annoying.

    Chassis twisted really hahahahahaha, come on you're using a second hand door, what's to say the vehicle it came off wasn't bent beyond repair or the door was poorly stored

      Rik Wilkins the lack of the most basic knowledge on some of these diy videos is staggering. Not so much of an issue with something like this which is cosmetic, but the standard of some of the structural diy repairs on youtube are absolutely terrifying, egged on and applauded by people who are equally as clueless.

    • @anthonyg4671

      @@GG-im1cb i don't think a diy body man/mechanic would attempt anything structural surely!, can you point me to a video?

      🤦‍♂️ ok mr car builder, mocking someone who’s learning is a little bit pathetic...

    • @rikwilkins199
      @rikwilkins199 4 роки тому +1

      Mark Plenty Not when it’s going back on the road and needs to be structurally sound, people who buy cars that have been so called repaired in somebody’s garage at home after it’s been deemed a write off are idiots.

    • @markplenty2631
      @markplenty2631 4 роки тому

      Rik Wilkins well opinions are like arseholes, everyone’s got one.. it’s only a door and he figured out in the end what needed to be done. You can see clearly it isn’t a structural failure on the body so just adjustment on the door solved it. Save your judgement for your own issues.
