      @@JUSLUKING You know it's really a bad situation all around but particularly for the patient and the family and loved ones. If doctors are somehow picking and choosing the way they treat patients based upon insurance than to me that's their choice but it's not exactly the hypocrites oath.

    Hello, and thx for your videos. I was diagnosed with advanced liver cirrhosis in January 2022, had no clue that I had it prior to that! I haven’t done a live yet, not that I’m opposed to it. I would start with your regular doctor and get a referral to a GI then the GI to get a referral to a hepatologist (liver Doctor) there are not as many of them around, I have to travel 4 hours to see mine. Every one’s situation is different, the liver does different things to different people. It was very confusing when I first got the diagnosis they just called it Alcoholic cirrhosis. They didn’t do any test on the why I had it. Just I drank for 2 years and that’s it. Well I go to SLU in St. Louis now. They are great there. But I also am being evaluated for another disease that may be the cause of all of this, it’s a connective tissue disorder, I lost the ability to swallow liquids and solids and it’s neurological. So they were a big help in that. But you can go to liverfoundation.org/ they have lots of stuff to help there, including liver doctors.

    So glad I found your channel. So many questions about this. Thanks for sharing about your experiences with HE , and the "insanity " that comes that comes with that. I know someone with liver disease and it seems their personality changed for the worse. We met for dinner after a 15 year separation. He just started verbally attacking me. Telling me how difficult I was; and all sort of abusive words. I left in tears. In my studies on liver desease, sounds like he was Sundowning? Is this something that you experience in a dim room?

    • @Redneckkenobi
      @Redneckkenobi  3 місяці тому +1

      HE can be tough, I can’t say that dim lights effect this, these changes are caused by ammonia spikes that essentially poison the brain. It’s an odd feeling and there’s different levels of. Like before I knew I had liver disease I was on auto pilot for 2 years. Like some took the keys to the car. I have a lot of memory black outs. Also there have been times I knew I wasn’t mad but my emotions said I was. That’s an odd feeling. As far as darkness, I could possibly see how if you already were in an altered state that dark could bring on depression or poor thinking. When you have this a lot goes through the mind and it’s very hard to sort it out. It’s very common for people with liver cirrhosis to need anti depressants. I mean you look it up it says 2 years you have. But like anything on the internet it’s not always true. But that hits hard. I’m sorry you were left to feel that way. And I’m sorry to hear about your friend. The biggest thing is finding purpose and staying positive. Oh and maybe tell them to leave a light on 😊 take care and stay strong

    I know it's usually later in life that EDS manifests but 'm surprised it's only now beginning to manifest....
    I have met a few people witht the condition, so I saw how disparate the symtpoms could be.
    But I always thought that hyperflexible joints and daily joint dislocations is the common thread

      @@Redneckkenobi I guess the main thing I'm asking is how does a person know where they are on the list or how many people are ahead before they get an opportunity? I've only heard that doctors or people who choose these things prefer patients who is insurance other than Medicaid. Not just dealing with transplants. I know a man who had stomach cancer and lost his job because he couldn't work. He was put on Medicaid and they would only give him a certain amount of treatments per cycle. I don't know if it's the truth or not. He was not getting what I call top notch treatment. I don't know if there's any truth to these things. These are just things I've heard from other people about Medicaid. I've heard some doctors and other people elude to doctors not getting as much money through Medicaid as they would through maybe Blue Cross Blue shield. I don't need a transplant . I watch these channels because I want to give information to people I care about. My boyfriend is going through steps to get on this transplant for a liver list. Sorry English is not the first language for me. Thank you for answering questions and if you know anything about what I just mentioned particularly about Medicaid, you could tell me if this is rumor about doctors preferring other insurances before Medicaid or is it true? Cancer for my friend was an example. Thanks a lot and bless you my friend
