I’ve owned a few CZ75B’s , a Sar B6P , two Tristar S-120’s and have fired hundreds if not thousands of rounds threw all and never had a problem with the guns ( I have had bad ammo that caused a malfunction, but nothing due to the CZ 75B or there clones) Being a baby boomer I have had a gun in my hands for a few more decades than most ( I’m a old fart).
Reliability is very important to me. My Smith & Wesson 357 magnum revolver was my first reliable handgun. The Heckler & Koch 45 USP and 9mm USP are my current reliable handguns.
Beretta testing of the last batch of M9s delivered to the US military showed ~19k MRBS. So basically if maintained they run without malfunction until the locking block breaks.
I broke "3" locking blocks in the M9 Beretta's , how can they say that with a strait face . Oh , that's right Beretta gives more free guns to reviewers than any other manufacturer.
The crap ergonomics of the Beretta and the locking block breakage should have stopped this one dead in its tracks. I was an instructor for couple years total in the USMC and as a contractor for Active Duty guys. I personally witnessed locking block failure every training evolution. I'd pack several in my armorers box so I could get the shooters back on the line after failures.
I was surprised by the agreement between HO and Madman that Glock is a poor suppressor host. That’s not my experience but I haven’t shot 100 rounds suppressed total. Outlaw can you give us more data? Or a demo?
I carry THE LTT Elite Compact and it love it. It is way better than the Beretta M9 I was issued in the Army. But like Mr. Guns N GEAR stated, those were abused, not cared for/maintained and needed to be overhauled.
@@hooty465 Yes, the one I carried worked and shot fine, felt chunky in hand and I didn’t necessarily like it like I did a glock at the time…But the LTT is just another beast all together….. From grip to the amazing trigger it’s just fantastic…..Some other guys in the Army had problems with there m9 but honestly I think it was caused mainly by the soldiers lack of training and maintenance and just being well…You know…
Same have USP40, USP9 Tactical, USP45 Tactical, VP9 Tactical, VP9 Tactical OR, & Mark 23… just missing a USP9 Compact and MP5 someday I hope, would settle for an SP5
The first gun I bought was a 686, the 7-round, stainless, 6 inch barrel. I love that thing. The second gun I bought was a Sig P229. Both are flawless machines. The Sig will feed and fire any type of round, mixed and matched steel case, hollow point, ball, anything and it just goes bang bang bang.
@@ElDuffman The 629 is a bit ferocious, definitely nastier than the 686, especially with wood grips but not so bad with good rubber grips. When I shoot the 629 it's usually 1 cylinder of magnums and several cylinders of special. Ditto for my 6" 686.
My father worked at the HK factory for a while in the U.S got to put alot of HK guns together and shoot them. Mp7 ect. They had a massive reject pile of frames, receivers, parts ect. If they were out of tolerance even by a hair. Off to the crusher to get recycled. Their extremely high standards, I believe lead to these results. I was so jealous of the things he got to shoot and make!
Even though that sounds good... the concept of needing extremely perfect tolerances indicates your design is poor....Glock pumps out guns like a Mo Fo and they just run... Interchangeable parts... anyone can do a complete tear down easily... I shot a G36 while training with the Bundeswehr... it sucked. I guess that's why they say to never meet your heroes lol
HKs and Glocks both run. HKs just run better. It’s like Nissan drivers scoffing at Mercedes owners, for all the bluster it’s not the Mercedes guy that needs to defend his ride 🤷♂️ Haters gonna hate.
I was an armorer in an Aviation unit when the Beretta was adopted, you never saw a happier group of pilots! Giving up those old S&W model 10’s I can understand it!
I've used professionally Glocks since 1986 when all they imported was the G17. Since then I've used the G21, G31 and the G45. My current EDC is the G45 MOS. I've never had a single malfunction that wasn't ammo related. Another malfunction was my fault as I was using a minus connector and a 3 lb. striker spring. Malfunction was only on Winchester ammo that use hard primers. I've used Glocks in my LEO and military days and also as a DOD Security contractor. No issues whatsoever. Great video and thanks brother.
REally, a bad rep for what? I've seen even revolvers jam and they are commonly thought of as "JAM PROOF". I have seen my .44 Charter Arms bulldog jam - when the recoil of the previous 3 shots caused the bullet to somehow walk itself out the end of the cartridge case! And my Ruger GP101 got hot when I fired 4 cylinder loads and the parts would not turn. I swear I wish I was making this up but I'm not, REVOLVERS CAN AND DO JAM. But the point is, never had a jam in my Beretta 92 in over 1,000 rounds.
I would say the same for my P229 in 9mm, which like the HK USP was designed in 1992 for the .40. I've owned a P229 .40 w/ a .357 Sig conversion in standard Nitron and a separate 9mm Legion, and have never had a malfunction except for 1 failure to extract due to bad casing in easily over 15,000 rounds between both.
I've only shot a couple hundred rounds through my p320 and it only "malfunctioned" once and that was the first break in shot after that it shoots regular and hollow points like butter. Only complaint is trying to jam that 15th round in the mag
In my opinion, when it comes to high cap .45 ACP, FNP/FNX 45 are absolutely amazing! On the aspect of: reliability, capacity, accuracy, and recoil. Perfection!
When I was a cableman, I had a customer who was with the local Sheriff's Dept. We got to talking guns and he decided to show me the gun he used as his bedside gun. It was a Mark 23. Such a cool gun, and I felt really honored that he felt that good about me (total stranger to him an hour prior) that he'd share that with me. That was a good visit.
@@jodynorris6975 So much respect for Hickok45. Graham Bates and Paul Harrell too. I'd love to see my top 5 do at least one collabo. Maybe turn it into a Yankee Marshal roast lol.
Totally agree about the HK Mk 23. It’s an absolute beast of a handgun. Back in the day, we ODA guys were hoping to get these. Apparently, at least in the early 2000’s, these were more pushed towards special applications within NAVSPECWAR and not USASFC. We eventually got a load of 1911’s from out of “deep storage” as a “low vis” carry option to our standard issue M9s. The M9 was still a great secondary for us “normal” team guys. Love the channel and your recent co-labs with MrGuns. Also my 6” Python would like to have a word…….lol. RLTW/DOL🇺🇸🫡
I carry a Beretta 92 fs centurion... Never ever had problems with the safety. Never went to an unwanted state and really easy to toggle IF YOU KEEP IT CLEAN AND LUBRICATED! Works wonderfully well.
Sig Macro and 19X are my cc's, and CZ P-10F is my nightstand gun. AR15 with PWS long stroke piston upper/Windham lower, is my primary. I switch between the 19X and P10 for my secondary weapon on my gun belt.
My 2004ish 92FS has well over 4000 rounds on all original internal components. No rocks in my trigger, I field strip and clean at least once every 500 rounds. Has never had a failure using any ammo put through it. Aluminum, steel, brass, and all of those in HP and different weights and mystery reloads from gun shows.
Agreed. I had an M9 and that thing jammed at least once every 100 rounds... maybe an anomaly. My 220s, 229s, and 226s never jam. Wish I could say the same for my 320s and 365s, albeit a little more picky with ammo and still great firearms.
Two of my favorite people / channels.. Especially when it comes to absolutely LEGIT information, and not all the fluff some of our other humourous gunner youtubers..
Love Mike, and it's great to see these collaborations! Enjoyed his videos with Crowder as well. His personality seems a bit different when he's working with others. Not at all a bad thing, but he's definitely a no-nonsense individual!
Definitely agree the Mk 23 is extremely reliable. I would honestly rank the S&W M&P 9mm slightly higher than the Glock though. I've owned a few of each and put several thousand rounds through each one. The S&W's by a small margin out did my Glocks in reliability.
The only two semi-auto handguns I own that I've put enough rounds through to put on a list like this would be my H&K USP (.45) and Sig P226 (9mm). They're the only two handguns I own that have had absolutely ZERO failures of any kind. I do have a few that are borderline but I haven't put enough rounds through them to call it just yet: H&K P30 (9mm), CZ P-01 (9mm), and Springfield XDS (.45). From memory I don't think I've had any issues with those three, just haven't shot them as much. My only Glock is a 23 and I've had a few stovepipes over the years, might just be a .40 issue though.
I changed out the stock OEM barrel of my Gen 4 Glock 20 with a threaded KKM barrel, put 2000 rounds through it, & was incredibly accurate and reliable. Then I put 2 port comps on it as well as my 2nd Gen CZ P10C with its stock threaded barrel, took them to the range and had multiple FTF issues with both of them where none existed before. Taking off the comps returned both guns to 100% reliable.
Maybe a hot take but I think experimenting with comps is fun because they do malfunction and it gives you a little more work to do troubleshooting them and trying new parts. I don't even care if my play guns aren't 100% reliable, clearing malfunctions is fun
I had an S&W 640 in 357 when they first came out and it was my daily carry. Just drop in in the pocket and go. Never had a failure. Just finicky with ammo. Hydra Shock was best. Now I keep a G17 for home defense. Also has been reliable as a rock. Great job gentlemen.
I was one of those Army lifers that HATED the M9. I never had to fight any handgun so hard to qualify expert. Why? I do not have Chris sized meat hooks. I have small hands. In order to properly put the pad of my index finger on the trigger I was forced to rotate my hand closer to the trigger guard. Were all the M9s worn out? Hell yes. Were they poorly maintained? Yes. I only had one real good armorer in the Army infantry in 28yrs. ! They were like hens teeth. Very hard to find. After I retired my son let me shoot his G19. No problem with that, I did quite well. He wanted to sell it so I bought it. That has been a while ago and I still carry it. I did put some decent sights on it, the XS Big Dot set. For carry purposes, fantastic upgrade. As for the other pistols mentioned, no experience there so no comment. I did read about how HK does make never fail torture tested firearms. Again, as mentioned, I do not need that price. If you like the M9 style guns, by all means, I support you. I have friends I have known forever and they like them a ton. To that I give a thumbs up.
They’ve been put through military trials a couple of times and never seem to end up in the top 3. Great guns, more than reliable enough for 99% of us (I carry a shield plus all the time). Just not quite there compared to others on the list.
Money comes into play with military trials as well. SIG makes great firearms but I think money and politics really played a huge role with the trials. Glock was the other contender at the end and they know how to play politics and through money (or in this case discounts) around. Glock got their foot in the door with LE and give them great deals. They dominate LE not because they’re better than the rest, they’re cheaper than the rest and familiar. The M&P has been proving very reliable and even outperforming Glock in Garand Thumbs tests and he’s a Glock guy. Granted it’s a sample size of one.
My grandfather bought two 686 duty pistols (a 4" and 6") from a retired LEO back in the early 90s. That LEO claimed that he had over 100,000 rounds through each of them and they still looked almost new.
The 92 is massively underrated mostly because of service members and their wore out M9s, which I get, the ones I carried early in the 2000’s had issues, but it’s great to see LTT bringing it back, I carry a centurion at work now that I have a choice.
Kinda. The M9 I carried was extremely reliable and accurate, but those weren’t the issues. The giant grip, ridiculously long trigger travel, poor ergonomics of the safety, and the use of poorly performing ball ammo were all big problems compared to other guns (and ammo). The mag issue was a lowest bidder snafu, not the fault of Beretta.
@@woodystube1000 and that’s the thing, the ball ammo used in the M9 was nothing special, it’s just 124 +P FMJ, it cycles standard JHP ammo just fine, the safety shouldn’t be used as a safety, just a decocker, if you did use it as a safety so many people tried to manipulate it incorrectly causing them to thing it wasn’t ergonomic. The grips, well thin panels and now the X series fix that, the long travel for DA, that’s just a shooter skill problem. So basically the issues you mentioned either aren’t issues with the 92 or are no longer issues with the 92.
@@ShawnHinck I seem to have struck a nerve by insulting a gun you obviously have a close relationship with. My apologies, that wasn't my intent. I was specifically referring to my experience with my issued M9 in the 90's. When I too separated and had a choice of what to carry at work, the M9 (or any 92) was not on my list for a host of reasons. Even then there were MUCH better choices for duty weapons, some of the reasons for which I listed above. If the gun fits your hand, you don't find it silly to pretend the safety is not a safety and is just a decocker, and you don't mind training with a gun-specific long trigger pull, great! I'm not trying to talk you out of your preferences. I was making the point that, compared to other similar pistols of the time such as the P226, the M9 had some design/ergo issues for the masses. My "kinda" comment was because the M9 flaws I mentioned are design issues, and not a result of the issued pistols being ridden hard and put away wet. The M9 will always have a place in my collection, but not in my duty holster. Ammo selection is a completely separate issue that I only mentioned because it was part of the whole experience at the time. It's all love, my brother!
@@woodystube1000 why is point out bullshit striking a nerve? Based on your response the nerve that was struck is yours. Only the army carries with the safety engaged rather than just decocked, there’s a reason the G series exists…. So non-issue, pointed out that those issues you mentioned just largely don’t exist with the current 92 guns, the P226 has a similar sized grip and trigger pull length so don’t know what that’s about. But you kinda prove what I’m saying, the 92 gets a bad rap because of the M9 crowd….
That 686 is beautiful. I found a 586 no dash, blued steel, 8.375 in barrel, custom wood grip. The gun is in almost perfect condition. It's one of my few pride and joys in life. Happy shooting my doppelganger.
@@ElainesDomain holy shit man. I knew they did a couple of the 586 nickel plated. That's pretty rare too man. That's quite the find bro. I was looking for an 8 inch+ barrel length. Thing is most companies these days just don't make them. There are some that do 7 inch. Including the 3.5.7. line of the 686+ Smith & Wesson. Wesson. Although feedback to the grapevine is their quality is not good. Dan Wesson has an 8in as well. Taurus raging Hunter, ect. So I figured my best bet was finding an oldy in good condition. To be honest man I've lucked out. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't super expensive either. I consider myself to be a lucky man. The only did the nickel-plated for the first run right?
Just to clarify, I haven't heard anything bad about the regular 686 Plus model that's for sale right. I'm talking about the 3.5.7. , which came in three inch 5 inch and seven inch barrel lengths, and came with the crappy wood handle, along with the one somebody tried to sell me that I had no finish the last inch and a half to two inches of the barrel.(brand new).
I'd vote for the M&P 2.0. Never had a failure with it myself and I've seen some insane torture tests with it surviving while others failed (Garand Thumb's ice and mud tests come to mind)
@@dougphelps6917 I'm not familiar with the reliability of the s&w 1.0, but if you were to only look at the 2.0s longevity and not the m&p as a whole you would almost have to separate glock generations as well.
I feel like they're gauging endurance and durability more than reliability. While these go hand in hand, the M&P is proven, but not as fielded. It's been carried by police but not in combat. Not through mud and sand and snow and ice. I know Garand Thumb showed the M&P would power through those things, even better than some of the guns mentioned here, but his tests were also extreme examples. And those test do not represent long term endurance. While I have no proof, I would bet that frozen again and again, the Mark 23 would long outlast an M&P's springs and parts.
M&P 2.0 comes to mind for me. Seeing Garand Thumbs torture tested the 2.0 and it came out on top against several high dollar pistol’s. Even the Glock didn’t have a chance against it. Let’s not forget this other channel that goes by the name Honest Outlaw when he left the 2.0 outside in the winter weather for several months picked it up and yes it still went still went bang. This pistol should have made the list.
Video Summary: Glock 17 (or 19), S&W 686 in 357, HK USP, Beretta M9, HK mk23 ($2300) My personal opinion is M&P9 gen2 (beat glock in both Garand Thumb Neptune Freeze and mud tests)
But not in MAC’s gauntlet tests 😂 which is done way better than GT’s or Neptunes tests. Also GT has said multiple times he conceal carries a Glock not M&P 🤯
@@Mr._Infamous no GT’s test are doodoo. MAC does his test far more fairly and evenly. Go back and watch GT’s mud test. The M&P only passed the first pass because it was spotless (it had no mud on it), then they tested it a second time and actually got mud on it and it failed to fire 4 times 🤣. U can literally go back and watch it, but u won’t. It would shatter your ego. The g17 out performed every other handgun in MAC’s gauntlet test.
Another great video. I had to giggle when you described the M9 as a super reliable gun, and in the same breath said they finally “fixed” the safety and improved the slide for the A4. Definitely a love/hate gun for vets.
I don't know if you realize it but doing videos with all these other guys you need to come up with your own website because you know UA-cam is crushing things this is a golden opportunity for all of us if you do it
I love the Berettas I've used. I actually just want to trade my m9a4 for the 92x performance just because it's more up my alley and really have no complaints about that. The m9s and 92s I've played with are so smooth. I have a soft spot for the mk23 so I love seeing that mentioned lol. I'd love to have one of those.
The performance barrel I’ve heard tends to crack at 20,000 rounds. Dude at Gunthots channel ran one and it also didn’t eat ammo as well as a Shadow 2 which is surprising. Not bad but the other versions of Beretta are allegedly more reliable.
I had a german mk23 and ended up selling it for close to $7k! I conceal carry a p2000sk 9mm lem or a usp9 compact during colder weather. They can both use p30 mags. Hks are the best of the best hands down, i don’t understand why the US military doesnt use a usp variant.
You guys are awesome. Love to see HK getting some love. Impressive engineering and quality. I'd love to see me some Ruger single action revolvers as well!
Glock 22 and the Smith & Wesson MNP original. Neither are my favorites autoloaders however, both have never failed to fire regardless of condition for me. Even subpar unreliable ammo that made other of my favorite guns fail those two shot everything.
Good list. All fine choices you can't go wrong with. That being said... for MY money... I'm going with the Sig P226 Mk 25. Finest duty handgun ever made IMHO. 👍🏾
PX4 is likely the most reliable pistol ever made. I don’t currently own one, because I don’t love everything about them. But it should be stated nonetheless.
Because of Mr. Gunsgear, I bought the HKP30L as my first firearm, and I subsequently bought other handguns. However, I love my HK P30L. She is my favorite of all of them.
I remember back in the late 80's/early 90's people were giving the 92 series a bad rep because of slide failures, but a majority of those had something to do with the use of +P and +P+ rounds. Abusing your firearm into a catastrophic failure does not make it a bad firearm.
The only time I had a jam in my 1911 is when I used hollowpoints with the stock barrel. In all fairness it was made in the 1920s. After a couple upgrades it never jammed......ever.
This may be an unpopular opinion (and I have never been in the military or LE), but there is something so aesthetically pleasing to me about the Beretta. I also like the weight and size of the Beretta in my hand.
According to the designer of the Beretta M9, he said the PX4 Storm was more reliable. They said it was most reliable pistol Berretta has ever made. They go 60,000 rnds.
I think it depends on the conditions. In a desert environment, I'd take the M9. It seems like a little grit can cause the PX4's rotating barrel to malfunction. If the conditions are perfect, I'd take the PX4.
@@jasonroberts9357 The 92 has an open slide, not exactly ideal in a sandstorm. The PX4 is extremely reliable but I have also heard about some odd frame failures that wouldn't happen with the alloy frames.
The PX4 crashed and burned in MAC's reliability test. If I remember right sand or dirt got into the rotating mechanism and completely locked up the weapon.
thank you so much for not putting anything by sig or M&P or canik or... or... or... I love it when you guys just are blunt and only recognize quality and not the textbook answers
My M&P 2.0 didnt make the cut. Lol. I know what it can do and trust my life with it. Great videos Mike & Chris. You guys work great together and both bring a lot of knowledge to the table. 🇺🇸
Probably because the 2.0 isn't really that old so it doesn't have the track record that these guns do. All of the guns they talked about in this video are decades old. The 2.0 only came out in 2017.
@@mikewithers299 Like another comment said, if we're going by that standard, then we would have to take the glock out. It has many generations as well. The orginal M&P came out in what 2005? It has been proven reliable by many police agencies who have adopted it throughout the years!
@jasonroberts9357 yup I get it. That's why I joked with them a little. I've had M&P 1.0 and 2.0's they are work horses like Glocks. We live in a good time when "must" brands have a short but good track record on their newer models. I love my BHP but she old and still reliable.
One of my main reasons for keeping my M9 was the fact that you could put a can on it and it stays relatively flat versus other handguns due to that barrel
Thank you for the info on the difficulty on suppressing Glocks. I did not know that. I have been struggling to find a suppressor or compensator that I can get to work on my Glock without having stove pipes or failures to extract.
Great video - Carried the Beretta in the Army and its still one of my all time favorites. MK23 is the whole reason im obsessed with .45 acp (thanks Splinter Cell) - I was hoping to see the FNX45 on the list, but I started having issues with it suppressed, need to test more and hopefully it was just because of being overly dirty. Glad to see my two favorite guntubers together, absolutely amazing!
Love my 686, but also love my GP100. As far as reliability, I'd say they trade blows. Ruger makes damn fine wheel guns, they just don't look as nice as the Smith's or Colt's.
I have a 686 as well; a very fine revolver - and very inherently accurate... I also have the baby GP100 - a 3" barrel Ruger SP101 - and it's very solid too, especially as a CCW. 👍
My Shield Plus for CC is amazing! I have pit about 2K rounds in it so far and not ONE malfunction. I love it. I have cycled all kinds of ammo through it, and it keeps on a shootin!
M&P like the USP, was built around the 40 Smith & Wesson. The M&P is just as good as the HK if not better considering it's just as reliable and probably half the price
@@Paratus1179Sit down fanboy 😂 Glock only has the reputation due to it being the tried and true og. But they definitely have their cons in other areas. Anyone that has put many rounds through both knows that M&P's are the better all around guns for the money out of the box.. Better sights, better triggers, better ergonomics, better looks, performance center options etc. Even Chris will admit this
I have owned Glocks since the early 90's, once I tried a M&P, I soon started replacing my Glocks. I have 2 original full size M&P 9mm with well over 15k rounds of steel case ammo through them, never replace a part on either, they just keep running. Several 2.0 compacts and full size, they have all ran flawless. Fanboys don't believe it just because they can't stand hearing the truth. The only striker fired pistol that let me down and completely stopped with a bound up trigger was a new Glock G19 gen 4 with less than 400 rounds through it.
@@Paratus1179robably because they wouldn't drop their prices stupidly low for the trials. The sig has been proven to not be anywhere near a good as it was talked up to be. Too many issues surrounding that gun. And from what I've seen of extreme tests on UA-cam, the m&p can stand with the competition no problem, in some cases beating them. Honest Outlaw and Garand Thumb both have some insane videos that are a very solid testiment to the M&Ps reliability.
I worked many years as a developer at a major us silencer company, and we NEVER used HK pistols for any kind of testing or demos.
I would have put in the sig P226 or P229 into that list as well.
Right, they put Glock on the list but not a P226 SMH
6:59
SEALS would have their azzs for no P226 on this list.
It’s about reliability not self shootability
I just picked up a 686-2 4" yesterday. Love it. A Smith .357 will probably be with me til I leave this world.
I was looking to get a 686 6” lemme how yours is
@@a1phamalestud I've had a 6" for a couple of yrs now. Great shooter. Also have a 629 in 6".
686+ is a great revolver. I want to get the 686 3” next or the L Comp. How is the recoil on the 629 with 44 special compared to 357??
@@ElDuffman The 629 is a bit ferocious, definitely nastier than the 686, especially with wood grips but not so bad with good rubber grips. When I shoot the 629 it's usually 1 cylinder of magnums and several cylinders of special. Ditto for my 6" 686.
@@b2tall239 Might just stick with my 686 for now then. Thanks!
@@ericgroves300 I wouldn’t use Mercedes as a good example of reliability.
Also I appreciate the love you show to M92.... has un undeserved bad rep... has one the best mechanics outhere
You guys ROCK
The correct model name is either M9 or 92FS. No such thing as an M92.
Never had a malfunction in my P226 is 10 years of ownership. I have 40 S&W, 357 Sig, and 9mm barrels/slide assemblies. No issues with any of them.
My P226 is nowhere near as reliable as my USP.
My M9 jammed at least once every 100 rounds and I babied that thing. My 220s (10mm & .45), 229s (.357 Sig & 9mm), and 226s (.40 & 9mm) don't jam.

Love that y’all did a collaboration and got together. This needs to happen more often throughout the entire Gun tuber community.
Sig Macro and 19X are my cc's, and CZ P-10F is my nightstand gun. AR15 with PWS long stroke piston upper/Windham lower, is my primary. I switch between the 19X and P10 for my secondary weapon on my gun belt.
19x is battle time.
Interesting that the Sig 226 isn't on your list... or anything from CZ.
I agree, I would pick the CZ 75 or the Sig P226 over anything they mentioned in the video.
@@ripthejacker6020 , my P226 is nowhere near the gun that my USP40 is.
I really think he relaxed more in this video. Who wouldn't be nervous with Crowder though? You never know what he's going to say next haha
Glad to hear two I own, and absolutely love, the Glock 19X and Beretta 92X made your list. I also am liking the Springfield XDM Elite as well.
I would have gone with a Ruger GP100 over the S&W but I guess that honorable mention takes care of that.
Me too. But I'm a Ruger fanboy.
Saying that I've never owned a S&W wheelgun
Definitely. The GP is a more robust gun and bomb proof.
Definitely agree the Mk 23 is extremely reliable. I would honestly rank the S&W M&P 9mm slightly higher than the Glock though. I've owned a few of each and put several thousand rounds through each one. The S&W's by a small margin out did my Glocks in reliability.
Ya sure they did 😂👍🏻. It’s okay bro. Glock is superior. Just swallow the copium and move on.
I'm enjoying the collaboration videos. Two of my favorite guntubers working together to create great content.
Im was waiting for the P226 to be mentioned
You guys have quite the bromance going😂
Keep it up
You two are the best out there!
You guys definitely need to continue to do videos together. Great job. Your opinions and personalities work well together.
Full size PX4 Storm G model is one of the most reliable, softest shooting guns on the face of the earth. Love HK's too.

Was waiting for the P229 or P226 to show up instead of the SW revolver.
Yeah, I was kind of surprised one of the older SIGs didn't show up.
Another nonsense clickbait video. I think that's the only explanation.
P229 is my go to gun.
Great video. I have to say this is my go to channel for BS free content on firearms. 😊
What a treat having you both on the same video. Thank you for what you do.
I have four HK pistols, several LTT Berettas, and love them all! Great video!
These team episodes are absolute fire. Appreciate it.
Great list! Was surprised a S & W M & P didn’t make it.
Nice one and hard to find. I I have the 586 no dash nickle 4'' barrel. I carry mine during the winter.
I loved the M9 when I was serving. Kinda hurt my heart when the military scrapped it.
The two best gun channels all in one video!!! Thanks Chris, great idea!
I'd vote for the M&P 2.0. Never had a failure with it myself and I've seen some insane torture tests with it surviving while others failed (Garand Thumb's ice and mud tests come to mind)
Same here. I have had a few and no issues ever. Even my original Shield with a 400 round torture test and kinda dry without cleaning or oiling it.
I think they touched on it a bit early in the video... longevity plays a big part in reliability. The 2.0 doesn't have that yet.
@@dougphelps6917 I'm not familiar with the reliability of the s&w 1.0, but if you were to only look at the 2.0s longevity and not the m&p as a whole you would almost have to separate glock generations as well.
Exactly kinda bs it wasn’t on the list
@@dougphelps6917 Fair enough
I know a guy who left an M&P outside for a bit and it took some coaxing but it still got up off the couch and did the thing. I love mine. Peace guys ✌
Surprised to not see the M&P 2.0 here after all the tests various channels have done on them.
My two models certainly have never ever failed me. I would swear by them. (Shield Plus and a full-sized .40 Cal)
@@spencer848 Well stated. You are mostly likely correct.

@@Mr._Infamous no GT’s test are doodoo. MAC does his test far more fairly and evenly. Go back and watch GT’s mud test.

My wives grandfather's S&W model 27 Highway Patrol service revolver from the late 1960s is a beast of hand-cannon and is still a great firearm.
Glock 22 and the Smith & Wesson MNP original. Neither are my favorites autoloaders however, both have never failed to fire regardless of condition for me. Even subpar unreliable ammo that made other of my favorite guns fail those two shot everything.
2 of my favorite gun guys on the same channel at the same time! Yeah! 😎

That being said... for MY money... I'm going with the Sig P226 Mk 25. Finest duty handgun ever made IMHO. 👍🏾
I went the same direction as well!
Agreed
I like the P229 personally, but I agree
P226 here also I've only put around 4,000 rounds through it, but it hasn't malfunctioned yet
Having a usp compact hk 40 I will agree the usp is so reliable I have never had any issues in over 15 years of owning it.
PX4 is likely the most reliable pistol ever made. I don’t currently own one, because I don’t love everything about them. But it should be stated nonetheless.
Landon Tactical agrees with you.
That's a pretty good endorsement!
I'm starting to think y'all bought land right next door to each other 🤣
This may be an unpopular opinion (and I have never been in the military or LE), but there is something so aesthetically pleasing to me about the Beretta. I also like the weight and size of the Beretta in my hand.
According to the designer of the Beretta M9, he said the PX4 Storm was more reliable. They said it was most reliable pistol Berretta has ever made. They go 60,000 rnds.
Ernest Langdon has some high round counts thru the PX4 with great reliability.
@@phantomspaceman If I'm going into the desert, I'm taking a SIG.
The PX4 crashed and burned in MAC's reliability test. If I remember right sand or dirt got into the rotating mechanism and completely locked up the weapon.

@camaro25 you are correct sir. I do remember they said that.
No CZ p07?? It’s unreal how reliable it’s been for me n 2 million other ppl 😂 and big fan of Mrgun too
Reliability and longevity... I don’t think CZ’s have proven themselves comparable to H&K. Perhaps in 20 years it’ll be a different discussion.
@@zebwalton979 what? CZ 75 is one of the best platforms of all time I shot 7k + rounds in my P07 since 2018 and it’s still like a brand new gun
Thank you for the info on the difficulty on suppressing Glocks. I did not know that. I have been struggling to find a suppressor or compensator that I can get to work on my Glock without having stove pipes or failures to extract.
Glad I have a HK USP 9 coming in this week. It came down to that or a Sig P226 and I probably couldn't have gone wrong either way.
Buy both you won't regret it.
Makes me sooooo happy to see y'all on a vid together. Please do more.
My current nightstand gun is the M9A4. It’s extremely accurate.
Follow both of you and love these videos with you two guys together! So much knowledge
I’m very surprised the CZ 75 series is not listed…
I was too. I would pick the CZ 75 or the Sig P226 over anything they mentioned in the video.
Mark 23 in 460 rowland anyone? That'd be devastatingly powerful and reliable
Love my 686, but also love my GP100. As far as reliability, I'd say they trade blows. Ruger makes damn fine wheel guns, they just don't look as nice as the Smith's or Colt's.
GP100 is more robust.
hmmm, my GP100 is a beauty and built like a tank. 🙂
Lol you’re freaking cracked. The M&P couldn’t even beat out the Glock or Sig to replace the M9.
@@chrism2042 15000 rounds isn’t 40000 rounds that they were talking about with the USPs. You’re not even halfway through the expected life of a usp…
We cracked so many frames with our pistol cans and competitor pistol cans it would make your head spin. We never did, but talked about it many, many times - making a note in the user manual saying to use the product with HK pistols at your own risk.... Just a little FYI there. (excluding of course the mk23, edited to mention that)
Well done gents glad a couple of my tried and trues mad it on there, never getting rid of the .45 USP , not based on just it's outstanding performance but as they stated the look of prime craftsmanship
I am happy to see two famous Gun UA-camrs together in one video.
Never had a single malfunction with my beretta 92. Not suprised it was on the list. P226 is also very reliable. Both are phenomenal.
Both 9mm and 22 lr M9s have been horrible in my experiences
@@Lostflipper24 ha. That's kind of hard to believe. But ok.😅
Early versions subject to slide cracking
@@stuvick7321 yes very early but not after. That was like 30 years ago. They improved the parts since then. Way more reliable than glock from what I seen.
@@Shadowdancer777My Glock 34 Gen 3 jams. Never experienced that with my Beretta 92F. Will give the G34 to my grandson in a few years.
Two of the best reviewers out there!
My Mk25 is my pick for most reliable in my collection, followed by my G19 and my Beretta 92X
