Guys, if you do go to Pompeii, be sure to bring a recording of this video!!! Also, this film was made in 1971-2, and at that time there were a lot of movies coming out that were concerts, so a lot of groups were putting movies out showing their tours. So of course Pink Floyd had to show NO audience, contrary to what everybody else was doing. I also learned (From Director's Cut of this movie) that there were some young people that were allowed to stay in the exit tunnels to watch and listen, as long as they stayed out of camera view. It took 3 days to film, I would have been there every day, those lucky buggers!!!
In case you don't know - David Gilmore revisited Pompeii for a solo concert not that long ago. Stage set in the same arena. It was spectacular. Cd + dvd is available as I'm sure it's also online & tracks on u.tube.
There was quite a large crowd at the beginning of the concert, but the Vesuvius erupted and most of the audience got engulfed in magma. The rest of them fled or were evacuated by helicopter. The band insisted on finishing the performance for the cameras.

Really good reaction guys, cheers.
BY THE WAY has anyone in the comments recommended you react to "One Of These Days" from the same film 'Live In Pompeii'??? If not, then You need to see this clip. George, you say you love Nick Mason, and I do too. I also think he is very under-rated. Watch this song and watch him NOT miss a beat when losing a drum stick amid beat!!! The song is shot solely focusing on Nick's work Which is a first I believe!!! Awesome track, awesome footage, awesome work by Nick on that one!!!
A lot of people talk about the fact that there was no audience during this performance. The reason there was no audience was that was that was the only way they were allowed to record there.

PINK
FLOYD.
LONDON
Cette version live est encore meilleure que le LP.
Nature , good land , good weather , pink floyd👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻❤️🔥
Amazing 1-hour documentary, a person uploaded it to UA-cam 12 years ago, I really appreciate it, I already downloaded it.
😋🛸🌺🐺🐾
For me the best piece of music ever recorded. Never gets old, always guaranteed to bring spinal chills.
AND that was only part one!! LOL. Ur minds have been officially FLOYDED AGAIN!! B safe & well .. peace out🤘🏼✌🏼💞
Pink Floyd...SO FAR ahead of their time they were social distancing 50 years ahead of us now !!! That's how good they were/are!!! Now go back and listen to the audio version again and listen for all the extra guitar work David does and Rick Wright...It is by far superior!!!
AMAZING video guys, pink floyd is such the greatest band ever, react to Wots Uh the Deal, another masterpiece
Comfortably Numb live will blow your mind ( you will have to find it later when you think you've lost it ) Pink Floyd is sight and sound live band, the awesome light show takes you away and mixed with the great music, Genius! And You will be changed by David's solo to end the song. I've seen them 4 times but missed 1 " The Wall" in New York because I had a performance I couldn't get out of. Everytime was mind blowing
omg1971,the production values, the sound!!!
Los Dioses totales del Rock Progresivo por siempre!! Ninguno como PINK FLOYD en este Universo!! Gracias Dios por haber Creado a PF!! Syd, Roger, Rick, David, Nick. Soy Floydiana hace 43 años!! 😍😍🖤🖤
😍😍🖤🖤❤️
Echoes live in Pompeii version is the best live version period of any song ever period
Why are you guys sitting in that brightly lit room listening to Pink Floyd dude and dude you need some mood lighting for sure it will completely change the way you feel about music/ song especially from Floyd 👍
The angry human metronome that is Nick Mason, killing it here as are everyone in the band. Wonder what Syd Barrett would think about it. Can't wait for Part 2. Try A Saucerful Of Secrets live here as well, Great job guys!
This live version of Echoes is a highly addictive drug. It's a sound that you will never forget, and worst of all... you will need to hear just to stay sane, alive. Seriously.
I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd. And I can't get enough of their songs. Thank you for the reactions.
Guys, great work with the reactions.
Please DON'T forget to review the ANIMALS album.. It's inspired from George Orwell's famous book: The Animal Farm.
The representation of different ANIMALS for different classes of society remains relevant even today, maybe even more as time passes. Truly One-of-a-kind album...Not many people grasp it but I am sure you guys will.
PIGS and DOGS are epic and outstanding pieces.
Hoping for an upload of these masterpieces soon.
FLOYD and ZEPPELIN will rule Hard Rock forever !!!
My goodness, this must be the 70s, they all look so young! I really liked this - there was just something special about it and it being live at Pompeii too is amazing. I see that Pink Floyd first formed in 1967 and 54 years later their music is just as strong as ever and I'm sure reaching a new audience every day. I don't think you can say that about a lot of bands, but they are up there with the best! I actually downloaded the song One of These Days from the same album a while ago - it's great! Really good reaction guys, cheers.
1971!! 🤗
Oops...1972...fat fingers, lol 😂
@@lynnhoffmann247 Actually you were correct, it was recorded in October 1971 and then released in '72.
@@BlackiePawless Thanks...I guess I smoked too much back in the day 😉😂😎
@@lynnhoffmann247 Yes but they probably wrote the song in '71 and put it all together for performances in '72 !!!
That shit made me cry one of greatest song of all time
BY THE WAY has anyone in the comments recommended you react to "One Of These Days" from the same film 'Live In Pompeii'??? If not, then You need to see this clip. George, you say you love Nick Mason, and I do too. I also think he is very under-rated. Watch this song and watch him NOT miss a beat when losing a drum stick amid beat!!! The song is shot solely focusing on Nick's work Which is a first I believe!!! Awesome track, awesome footage, awesome work by Nick on that one!!!
If I had a time machine, that's where I would go. That's my favorite show ever.
A lot of people talk about the fact that there was no audience during this performance. The reason there was no audience was that was that was the only way they were allowed to record there.
Pink Floyd is one of those bands that mellow you out and take you far way from life 💗. Such great deep music 🕊️. George (I hope I got the right one) you sound like you're still in space 😁
Still!
@@broaction5343 your voice while talking......I guess you were too far from microphone. Go back and listen.
You need to do Pink Floyd - Pigs, dogs, sheep, would love to see your reactions :-)
Brothers you have an awesome channel and I’ve watched all your reactions. This is the best reaction by far, along with Led Zep live and Metallica live. Echoes is OTHERWORLDLY!!!
Keep feeling the music in your souls and take a moment to watch The Who live at Woodstock/Isle of Wight (Young Man Blues/Heaven and Hell/See me, Feel me, Sparks) or Metallica live (Master of Puppets, Harvester of Sorrow, Creeping Death) . And a must watch is Hendrix at Woodstock (Redhouse or Fire) Peace out! ✌🏻
When music is this great, you shouldn't meddle with it!
Ha Ha cute one!!!
I see what you did there... ;o)
Chicos, esta faltando la 2da. parte de este video!. Les va a encantar
Just before seeing this pop up I listened to a Floyd Podcast, where this performance was a topic. Sometimes coincidences are freaky haha😂.
Looking forward to your reaction. I actually like the studio version best, but this is a great live performance.
Yessssssssss SO excited you both enjoyed this one, I love it so much too!
Ok - just imagine a FIELD TRIP where all the subscribers go with you to the Pompeii amphitheatre and we all listen to Echoes together! What a blast! :D
Must be time to set up a Give-A-Little page to get you two to Pompeii. Two of the newest and most enthusiastic Pink Floyd fans around! PS your microphones are "Echoing"
Patrick, your reaction at the transition was hilarious! Keep up the good work guys.
