Oh my, so many treasures were found. Kate says the bottle was a little wonky, but aren't we all just a bit wonky?? Love watching these ladies "play" with their doll houses.
I used bottles I'd mudlarked at my wedding. Used one of the white polish bottles, small brown dolly blue ones and a lung tonic on each table with flowers in and they looked really good! Surprisingly, it didn't take too long to find enough of each bottle!
What a wonderful lot of stoneware bottles you found. The little almost cone shaped ones are cream pots. I keep my paint brushes in one of those. You must go back soon and find some more. Stay safe love to all. Fairy Acorn xxxx
I get so much vicarious joy from you guys. This was an extra fun one! I hope all of the stuff you left behind is still there on your return. You should take some kind of wagon with you! I remember you mentioning your plan for those stoneware bottles and I think it's a lovely idea. Poo on those who made a stink about it. I can't wait to see the frankencrafts you make from these things. Much love from Texas.
You could do a “Lark-a-Ween” episode on the other channel making spooky themed an harvest themed things for the doll houses an out of your finds like the Frankenstein you suggested. I love your creations, they’re always so beautiful! Cheers!
Ps: just had to say I love your pumpkin houses you’ve made in the past! Have you done an acorn one that opens from above like a box? Could be borrower who humanlarks “shed” to go with the clock. Sorry, I’m full of ideas and no time. Apologies! 😅
The head looks like a Sultan. The blue knob maybe the top of a finial or a drawer pull? Looked like such fun scrambling around for all the ceramics which are my favs - love a good white with lots of crazing. thanx!
I LMAO Queen Vic visited in 2002 🤣🤣🤣Aah it's good to laugh... You never need to apologise for being excited and happy. I would have done the same if not more!! Fabulous place to lark, go back and take everything!!!🤣Thank you! Loved it all 🙏🇦🇺❤xx
I'm so pleased for both of you ladies, finding one surprising rescue after another. It is like the good ol' days, isn't it? The headless body, with his hands up, looked like a chef, tossing pizza dough in the air. Perhaps that is a chef's head? I liked it all, though as often happens, your faves were also my faves. : ) I appreciate and enjoy your channels so much. You enrich my life. Thank you. : )
Great finds, ladies! I love the excitement you both have for finding such an array of cool things! It makes me happy. I hope you both have an amazing week. See you in the miniature world!
My favorite is the large seltzer - *with* a handle, so beautiful! And I was thrilled over the glimpse Kate gave of the bottom, because it shows the concentric curved marks where the potter cut it off the wheel with a wire or cord. I do a bit of pottery, and I love leaving that on the bottom of my cups and mugs. What a lovely haul, and wonderful to feel your excitement!
The flat creme pots w the lids. That have nothing on them. ( so wish I had it), but u could paint a beautiful picture on lids. Maybe Christmas theme or flowers.. just an idea, or give as presents to those who do like to paint. 🌼
Just an idea ladies.....take a five gallon bucket with you. They hold quite a lot and are fairly easy to carry. Another idea.... take a towel and put one half in at the waist and the other hanging down will give you something to wipe items instead of your clothes. Good day hunting!
That was the best spot ever! Like it was never touched or something. Wow! I was floored at all the stone wear. I love that stuff. And the jug..the complete and numbered water jug....faint!!!
Found you guys through Atomic Shrimp. What a recommendation, been binging your older videos all night. The unbridled joy you guys feel while exploring your interests is amazing. Keep it up!
What amazing finds, they are beautiful,I love the sailors cup,ad the Southend pier, you could have a boy fishing out of the side of the pier cup. Thank you so much for sharing
M. No.could mean manufacture no. which could be the type or model of this product, which you need, when you want to order more of the same kind. This would perfectly make sense. Thank you for sharimg your tour here. Always appreciated.
Treasures just lyingg ther saying," pick me, pick me"., just wonderful, I felt your excitement!!!! I had as much fun as you, & wasn't even there. Thanks sso much for making my day!!!!!!
This was such a treat👍❤ You both had fun and saved beautiful vessels. I always love a pipe in the mixThese old legs don't take me down to the beach, my hands shake so bad I can not pick up many things. My daughter is too busy with her family as it should be. I love you both and thank you for your kind videos, you make me think and smile too😘
That is very sad to hear as you are also her family. Not to mention a grandmother to her children. Surely there is something you can take to improve your hands. In fact, I know there is as I did see a documentary where they gave this medication to a bloke and he improved so much. He was able to hold a cup without spilling the contents and pick up small items. I hope you can at least access a home care package. Cheers and best wishes all the way from Australia. Or maybe, for all I know, you are an Aussie too!
What a wonderful haul -the best finds being those stoneware items with that German bottle you found Kate topping them all! Nice clutch of glass bottles, particularly the little wonky one with embossing. The dump definitely warrants another visit.
Back to watch it in full this time... Looking at you doing the roundup, the figure with the raised arms and the red belt looks like Aladdin in the barrel as you've positioned it in a jar! Plus, because it's wearing what looks like an "arabic" tunic, I wondered whether the turbaned head you found might go with that torso? What a very exciting day! I wish I could find a hoard like that!!! kindest regards, k [Edit: Oh!!! I see you had the exact same thought as me!!! I should have finished watching first! Sorry!!]
It would have cost me 300£ to mail all of those stoneware bottles and jars back to myself in the states. I would've suffered a conundrum with not being able to leave any behind 😂
I can understand how you get so excited at finding all of those goodies. If I ever get to come over there I would need a suitcase for all of my treasures or it might be cheaper to mail them home not sure which. Or I could just buy an extra seat and put all my goodies in it. 😂
Good thing I wasn’t with you on this mud lark, my back would be screaming!! I would have taken more. Elect means chosen, special, just like me choosing you to be my favorite video to watch on Thursday 😊.
Oh no!! I have to head off to bed now or won't be able to work tomorrow, but I did a like and a comment straight away, and then I'll come back and watch it (and the adverts, for your revenue) tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it! Good night, ladies. kindest regards from France, k
I really like the Sunderland jug shard! I found a similar one at a yard sale in NC . It has a quote from Byron on one side and the Weare bridge on the other,ca.1825. For a dollar!
Oh my, so many treasures were found. Kate says the bottle was a little wonky, but aren't we all just a bit wonky?? Love watching these ladies "play" with their doll houses.
I’m definitely a little wonky
All that stoneware! I'm happy for you.....I really am.....I'm not jealous at all! 😂💖 x
I used bottles I'd mudlarked at my wedding. Used one of the white polish bottles, small brown dolly blue ones and a lung tonic on each table with flowers in and they looked really good! Surprisingly, it didn't take too long to find enough of each bottle!
Keep the broken boat ink. It looks like a door into the ship! Put something inside.
I’m 53 and was born, raised and live in Canada. Yet every time you say “dink” I giggle, because it means something completely different here😁😁😁😁
I can truly understand how hard it must be not to take everything. It's like finding treasure, every piece has a history and story. ❤❤❤
What a wonderful lot of stoneware bottles you found. The little almost cone shaped ones are cream pots. I keep my paint brushes in one of those. You must go back soon and find some more. Stay safe love to all. Fairy Acorn xxxx
You could glue in a cork on the blue ball thingy for a beautiful bottle stopper 😊 great finds! Love stoneware ❤

Great new treasure spot, look forward to future mudlarks there. Keep safe and well.
"Elect" means "Chosen" like Select....as in the Best. Loved all the finds....even the ones that didn't come home with you.
Your little blue knob would be a lovely ginger jar.
Can’t wait to see your sailor scene!
I think there's a wedding in someone's future. 💗
I’d wondered the same thing! Well, sooner or later, much happiness be yours❤
I think your little blue china finial would make a great globe rather than a vase for the study. Turned upside and mounted it would look the part.🙂
The Southport mug could have a boy sitting on the piers edge with a fishing pole in the water.
The head looks like a Sultan. The blue knob maybe the top of a finial or a drawer pull? Looked like such fun scrambling around for all the ceramics which are my favs - love a good white with lots of crazing. thanx!
“And feeling filled the sailor’s breast
The sailor’s eye a tear”
I expect lots of people have already quoted this to you, I love Sunderland ware.
Walked passed that hotel many times, Sidmouth is a lovely place to visit.
You were really due to find a horde!
Your pier mug would look lovely filled with sea glass❤
I LMAO Queen Vic visited in 2002 🤣🤣🤣Aah it's good to laugh... You never need to apologise for being excited and happy. I would have done the same if not more!! Fabulous place to lark, go back and take everything!!!🤣Thank you! Loved it all 🙏🇦🇺❤xx
I’m slightly envious right now……..😊

What a load of stoneware! That is exciting! I hope you find loads more! Have a great week!

Great finds! I have a ribbed jam jar I brought home from Ireland in the 70s. It sits on my kitchen counter and holds my steak knives.
That was the best spot ever! Like it was never touched or something. Wow! I was floored at all the stone wear. I love that stuff. And the jug..the complete and numbered water jug....faint!!!
😮😮😮😮😮❤

What a lot of great finds. I Googled "The Sailor's Tear" and found sheet music that had the whole poem, from a song. Very cool.
The jars and crockery are FANTASTIC! What Treasures in the woods you two found- HURRAH!
So many awesome jars. I can understand why it was hard to choose.

Make a candle holder out of the pier cup
Stoneware heaven!!!!! So lucky!!
The blue marble looking piece, which is not a marble, could be used as a miniature globe.
An incredible outing with so very many magnificent finds. Thank you for taking us along. Until the next time..... ❤❤❤
It would have cost me 300£ to mail all of those stoneware bottles and jars back to myself in the states. I would've suffered a conundrum with not being able to leave any behind 😂

The lustre ware is a jug ..if you look it up there is lots of examples..very nice

“Elect” on the Rowntree’s bottle means “Choice” or “Superior”
Its beautiful the way you see beauty in everything
That was so much fun watching you two. I live the stone ware too.
Stoneware heaven....
What great finds. My favourite was the Sailors Tears mug. I can’t wait to see what you do with it.
