Excellent camera work, captures the moment as I remember it. EVH was amazing last night in NJ, spot on. My very first concert was VH in 1984, they didn't miss a beat. Except DLR was a bit off the 2 songs but eventually got on track and kicked IT!
WOW!! The master still has it! in my eyes and ears, eddie is still the best;there will never be anyone like him....he created the mold, and then broke it.....the other thing is;he really enjoys playing guitar, you can see it in his face;he doesn't play to be a figure,he plays to enjoy it,and I think that's what it's about
he is amazing and I'm so glad I was there. Section 210 row K. Ten rows up in the center and could see the stage clearly and was right next to the stairs.
i love how the big E chord at the end of the solo still sounds as insane and heavy as it did all those years ago, it is the one thing about them that has stayed identical over the years and its the best sound in the world
RIP Eddie Van Halen. To the person who uploaded this years ago, thank you. Me, my brother, & my father had an unforgettable time at that particular concert!
I remember this concert also first time seeing them live with Dave. Towards the end I remember a guy running on the stage and accosting Eddie during the Ice cream man solo. He was dealt with quickly. Glad I saw this as well, amazing concert.
Oh, and Guardian, do you remember that kid that ran up there and hugged eddie? My friend's mom works music venues at alltel pavilion, here, etc, and he got me tix :D. Fucking great show.
When he's on the man is still absolutely devastating. Scary to think that is a 53 year old man up there wailing and still puttin people to shame. Go EVH!!!
Section 7 floor---awesome--from DLR,Eddie,Wolf and Alex--they were just fantastic.. The sound was great. I've heard that the sound was bad at other shows--not in Raleigh--concert was great... kris

That was not in Cincinnati. I was at the concert in Cincy, Eddie wore those green knickers (short pants) and no shirt. Great show in Cincy and here too.
Set your delay effect on a long delay and just time it right with your volume knob! that is the cello like sound at around 3 min.turn your volume button on and off real fast and consitant what your other hand is doing.....
He's been using an Octaver since the 1984 album. I can't remember which song from that album he uses it on. But for obvious clips, the intros to Runaround & Man On A Mission
Wow...that's all I gotz to say. Nice to know Eddie still has it! I can close my eyes and picture him standing there shirtless in some tight pink stripy overalls, LOL.
When Eddie Van Halen come's with his shirt on it usually is a good thing, Especially on this tour it means he is probably sober ! When he come's out on stage with his shirt off and cigarette their is very good chance he has been drinking all day! He will play sloppy and not give a fuck! The cool thing about Wolfie being on the tour is he hate's it when his Dad drink's.Eddie would have completely self-destructed and the tour would have been cut short.

I was in the audience that night! Despite the horrible acoustics the RBC Center had, the concert was a fun experience!
I was there...never gonna forget this. Ever.
Thanks man so much for posting this dude! I was at the show and now I can view this and not have to try and remember even though I was sober!
I am so glad I got to see this show. RIP Eddie!!!
I'll drink to that!

The giant white one above his black evh footswitch and his chorus, flanger, and phaser.
He's better than he was on the Balance tour. I never thought I would say this but: EDWARD VAN HALEN IS BACK!
no, the proto-type is an EVH wolfgang, his own brand/company
Man.... this is by far the best Eruption mix i've ever scene...man... Fucking God Hands!
i was at the other concert and the solos are exactly the same'
if you didnt see van halen in action during the 80's and 90's you really missed something

Eddie blesses God.
Now this is a rock God fuck yeah
The guitar is a prototype Fender Wolfgang, Eddie designed it and Fender built it.
does anybody know what brand the pickups eddie is using?
At the 3:04 part, is that the song Cathedral? I really thought that part was really cool and would love to learn what arpeggios and stuff he did.
GOD
is there a name for what is he playing at 1:10?
thanks
Look like Marzio's, evo 1. But I'm not sure, and it would surprise me if that's what he used.

@saulocpp LOL!! thats pretty funny...
EVH is GOD
whats ur point
he's using a completly not avalibe to the public custom pickups
He can't be, he wasn't born in the USA.
why the fuck would you want to sit down?
This is awful. He's been playing the same guitar solo for 30 years
I'll take artists like Holdsworth and Lane who constantly evolved any day
