Motley Crue at Crue Fest in Virginia Beach, VA on 7-6-2008. Sonically devastating concert so the audio is a bit punished.

David Lee Roth sings Ice Cream Man with a great speech at the beginning. Watch the end, a fan rushes the stage and gets in Eddie's face before Dave pulls him off and security drags the guy off stage.

Who’s the emo kid
I remember this concert also first time seeing them live with Dave. Towards the end I remember a guy running on the stage and accosting Eddie during the Ice cream man solo. He was dealt with quickly. Glad I saw this as well, amazing concert.
I am so glad I got to see this show. RIP Eddie!!!
RIP Eddie Van Halen. To the person who uploaded this years ago, thank you. Me, my brother, & my father had an unforgettable time at that particular concert!
This was the very first concert I attended! My Dad took me when I was 11.
Now this is a rock God fuck yeah
That was excellent!
This is awful. He's been playing the same guitar solo for 30 years I'll take artists like Holdsworth and Lane who constantly evolved any day
lol. that fat shit pretending to play bass.
helioseismology I bet you are just perfect aren't you....
Donald Mousseau Thank you.
Lord of guitar !!
EVH is GOD
Mr. Van Halen amazes the audience with his magic.
don't want to hear Roth reminisce save that shit for the shrinks couch
Whoa he freaking nailed the solo.....
I was in the audience that night! Despite the horrible acoustics the RBC Center had, the concert was a fun experience!
that's baby...wherever, whenever...I'm THERE!
JANUARY 10TH BABY!!
OMG, they killed Kenny !
Awesome! It is about time! The we need money tour! YAY!
awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dam Eddie sounds good for the first time in a long time.
welcome back dave
Thanks for sharing the videos. Bon Jovi is the Best Rock Band Ever.
lmao his son is pretty beefy, I guess he got caught up in the fastfood and video game overindulgence generation!
@77REVOLTFORAFRIKA77 umm, the hot angel swapping spit with vince neil.
Damn! Them volume swells are awesome, sounds like a violin
AWESOME !!!!!!!!
That was not in Cincinnati. I was at the concert in Cincy, Eddie wore those green knickers (short pants) and no shirt. Great show in Cincy and here too.
@saulocpp LOL!! thats pretty funny...
@cwsnc holy shit. i was the greensboro show and thought it was amazing
God, it's great to see Eddie and Dave share a stage, actually cheering each other on instead of being pissed off!
@liquidbend that is a little pathetic for a statement. This a pretty cool introduction if I may say so...
@Ptasoka Irony of that statement is David Lee Roth loved dance music and would hang out at Studio 54 many times.
@evilrslade I beg to differ. Van Halen is one of my favorite bands...but not my favorite. I truly believe he was a quality singer. Best singer they ever had. Great frontman. No matter how anybody feels about him and how he acted..he knew how to sing and sing well period!!!!!!!
I'm sure the bass player remembers 1972.
That story is what Van Halen is all about. Throwing the party every weekend for all of your closest friends and girlfriends, entertaining them with some quality song, and when it's all over... well shit, it never really was over, was it? THANK YOU VAN HALEN!!!
holy shit pot had seeds back then i didnt know that lol
Man.... this is by far the best Eruption mix i've ever scene...man... Fucking God Hands!
A consumate showman... audience in the palm of his hand. Not the greatest singer, but possibly the greatest rock frontman, team that with the technical genius of the rest of band... :-)
still wailin' Van Halen. Glad they patched things up and reunited. EXCELLENT.
i love how the big E chord at the end of the solo still sounds as insane and heavy as it did all those years ago, it is the one thing about them that has stayed identical over the years and its the best sound in the world
Eddie's solo on this freaking awesome. Looks like he's really back here...
Dave can play but don;'t ghet carried away - Eddie's ten times better. Division of labour: Ed does the music and Dave sells it.
wow they sound great!..I have a dream that mikey comes back on bass and van halen puts out a new cd with mikie back on bass.I know its eddies kid and all but I want to see mikie back then it will be all 4 guys.whats it gonna take to do this sheesh come on.
all i can say is WOW Thats the best hes played it in a while
DAMN I love you David Lee Roth! AND back in the day Dave would come out and say how he couldn't play guitar and then do this song. Whoa - the memories that come flooding back to me! I so miss these days of being carefree! Guess Dave wanted some alone time on stage so he learned a chord or 2! Ya gotta love him and VH!!!
damn! yeah yeah, go, JoZie D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The master at work
He's been using an Octaver since the 1984 album. I can't remember which song from that album he uses it on. But for obvious clips, the intros to Runaround & Man On A Mission
MXR EVH Flanger MXR EVH Phaser Dunlop EVH Wah MXR Stereo Chorus Boss OC3 Super Octave Footswitch for Roland SDE3000 Delay All controlled by a Lexicon PCM 70 rack unit.
if you didnt see van halen in action during the 80's and 90's you really missed something
