This is the most stressful part of using vinyl. I have ruined so many pieces when I first started. This would have been so helpful when I first started. It seems simple and like I should have known it but newbies will be so happy to know this. Braying is something that I never knew to do. It just goes to show that we all can learn something new.
Finally hit paydirt!!!!! Tried my very first vinyl project and was total fail. Because of this video I won't have to spend time , waste material and money trying to figure it out!!! To the point and hit every struggle I was having.... I'm subscribing!!!!
Hi Rachel. I’m so glad you said that the smart vinyl from cricut is not good quality. I have been using cheaper vinyl and had no issues but for my son‘s wedding and the welcome sign I thought I should buy good stuff which was expensive and just for one sign I used two rolls. It cut no problem, but when I came to weed it it was just ripping, pulling off the backing and I ended up doing two sections of the welcome board twice, it was a total nightmare. I will be using cheaper vinyl in future because I have definitely learnt my lesson. Thank you so much for all your hints and tips. I have just found you but will be a follower from the UK from now on.❤
Lord have Mercy. I have been searching many video's and this has been a answer to my prayers . I am mew to crafting and I want to learn. thank you for all the tips and experiences.

Thank you, your tutorials seem very thorough. I will have find some of the StarCraft vinyl and try it. I have very little time to learn and play and it's so discouraging. Told my husband I'm close to selling it😢 . I'll try a little longer. Also, any tips on taping of wine glasses for glitter and different colors? TIA
Aloha from Hawaii🌺🏝 Thank you for sharing your weeding technique. I had the hardest time weeding my vinyl as i kept lifting my letters up which led to messing up where it originally belonged. It took me awhile as i had 6 lines that i made to put on my late brothers urn. (ie: His name, sunrise date, sunset date, and a few words that followed) 1. I didnt cut the excess vinyl off, 2. My excess vinyl got crinkled up, hence losing the dot on the i's and apostrophe's on the s. Had i seen your amazing video prior, i probably woulnt have had those issues and i thank you very much for your well-explained tutorial. Lastly, one question: My vinyl backing sheet is shiny/slippery in the sense that my letters kept moving and sliding, is that normal?
I have a weeding challenge for you girls. I made the mistake of selecting a font called Algerian for project last week. Eeeek...I usually see a project to the finish but I quickly cut it out in another font 😂
Brayer after cutting! That's what I was missing, THANK YOU!
