You had several pieces that were missing at the top and now they are on there? Wish you showed how you got those pieces back and placed it back. Also I like to use the mat to weed from so it’s stuck down when reverse weeding
Holy “hill of beans” 😍what a blessing you are to this new Cricut crafter. MCP you are by far the best Cricut teacher on UA-cam (I know because I’ve watched one million hours of other channels). Teaching is a skill one doesn’t have just because they are good at something. Being a good teacher is a gift that you have, for sure. Thank you so much for being you and keep up the good work. P.S. I only buy from 143vinyl now because it helps your channel (BONUS their products are great too).
My husband just bought me a cricut maker + everything bundle for my birthday. While I am waiting for it to come in, I have been watching your videos to learn all about my machine. Thank you!
I bought the Starcraft vinyl and it cut and weeded so much easier. Before I had trouble with my cricut tearing the vinyl. I also bought the pin pen, awesome.
I ALWAYS learn something when I watch your videos Michael. You are truly amazingly talented and intelligent and I appreciate all your education for this new Cricut owner. I made so many errors and cost myself so much money until I found your channel and learned what I was doing wrong. Thank you so much!
Thanks for all the great tips and tricks. I’ve only had my Cricut Maker for 48 hours and I have already successfully completed 4 simple projects. I ordered vinyl from 143Vinyl and used the “Crafty” code to get a percentage off my order. Thank you! Keep up the great work.
I’m learning a lot! I’m brand new to this informations and I might have to watch some of the videos several times before it sinks in. You are a great nice teacher! Thank You
I wish you would have showed the oops with the top. it would have been nice to show how you corrected that issue. Just goes to show that no matter how experienced you are things can still happen.
I am very new to Cricut and am learning a lot. I am looking for the recommendations you made for not only tools but the vinyl and transfer tape I have not fallen in love with any that I’ve tried. I have tried some very good vinyl but I tend to have problems with the transfer part I can do the weeding and on and then put it onto the transfer tape but then when I pull off the backing piece I I struggle with getting the letters in tact to stay on the transfer sheet but I see that as time goes by I’m improving so thank you so much for doing these kinds of videos where you teach us how to do things. I will be looking at the recommendations for products especially the vinyl and the transfer tape and order some
I admire you when it comes to tutorials and how you perceive any project, it's a testimony to the kind of person you are by how you do things. You go above and beyond. Thank you for going the extra mile, I know that is a few more steps involved but, it's great work done in the long run. You must, please, do a video/ tutorial with felt I want to work with felt but so far I haven't had any success. It's driving me crazy!
Thanks for this tutorial! I tried reverse weeding on a larger project but it was not as successful as I hoped. The transfer tape and vinyl were too sticky and I kept getting stuck on the tape and vinyl. I absolutely love the transfer tape you used. I like not having to peel the backing off of the transfer tape!
Reverse weeding has been around for a long time, but you are young, so it makes sense you are just learning about it Michael. I've never tried it though! I didn't really think it made a difference, but you have convinced me that it does, so will have to try it when I cut an intricate design. As always, a great informative video! Nice looking studio by the way. Hugs, Brenda
Big Helpful video, I just started making stickers and I've been struggling on a small design with a lot of detail. I purchased the starcraft vinyl and hopefully that is whats been my issue since the vinyl I currently have isnt the greatest.
You are adorable and amazing. This was genius and so so helpful. as I stare at my hot mess pile of attempts to weed something ridiculous out of smart vinyl which is literally the devil for those details. And then use strong grip for adhering. Oi I was lost without this video.
I just made my first 143Vinyl order for StarCraft vinyl! THANK YOU so much for the "crafty" discount! I also shared the StarCraft vinyl with my grandson, who got me into Cricut-ing to begin with!
@@Irishangel831 i got mine at Home Depot...its has 9 drawers...the top one is great for all your tools, the 6 below that are great for holding vinyl and all your craft supplies and the bottom 2 are super deep for larger items. The top is a hard wood that fits my maker and heat press with room to spare. It was less than $400. LOVE IT!!!!
Hi , I'm going to try this reverse weeding, I do something similar but I weed from the mat for small cuts , just make sure I do the cut inside a wedding box :-) x
The problem I find with reverse weeding is that repeated touching of the sticky adhesive makes it not stick as well onto your project. I doubt it would work well for a permanent car decal.😊
Thank you so much for this video! I have some cricket premium vinyl with shimmer that would not stick to the transfer tape and now I know why, lol It was medium so wasn't sticky enough to hold that texture
Weeding “is” the challenge! I did get the pin pen, but struggled with how to actually grab the vinyl, could you do a detailed explanation on how to hold and grab with this tool? I know it is going to be practice.
WOW!!!! This is AMAZING. I love your channel, I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you for sharing. I will for sure not try this for I am still a newbie, and it will be 100% fail. Thank you for what you do :)
Help I am new at this and there is just so much to learn. I was in the Dollar tree the other day and found the prettiest vinyl. This vinyl is so hard to work with or is it just me. I am trying to do a split monogram … not working I am ready to give up on this machine. I hate to do that because it was a Christmas gift from my children. Can you give me any help with this. The vinyl is so pretty I don’t know if you have seen it it is black with light peach flowers. Thanks for any advice you can give me. I just adore you.
Question, you mentioned your favorite medium tack transfer tape, what is your preferred for stronger projects? Also that "band-aid hack" gave me so much anxiety! I was not expecting that omg!! 🤣 I love this video, thanks for the info. You're the best ever!
Hi Michael - Another great video, esp for beginners like myself. I loved the bandaid rip off hack. I'm about ready to do my first big Cricut project - the bee theme between Easter and 4th of July. I'll be working the machine a lot and plan to get your three basic materials for these projects. As a beginner I just bought some things from Amazon to start me up, but now I can see the need to get some better quality materials and the pen for weeding. Thanks for all your great videos and continued success. Love PegEgg

Magic of recording....he most likely cut it again.

Wow, that fast band-aide method scared the hell out of me to tell you the truth! I have to try it!!

OMG! I just got my Pin Pen 🤯
It is life changing! Thank you for sharing this amazing tool! I don't know how I lived without it!
If it wasn’t for you I think I would have returned my Cricut! You are an excellent teacher and I feel like I have learned so much!
Wow, thank you!

Agree
Pretty cool tips here but there’s way to much chatter. Go to minute 15 to watch the actual demo. Plus need more focus on the vinyl project
@@kimhartwick2676 he explains things in detail and doesn’t skip steps, that’s what makes his videos great for beginners or helpful for new stuff.

Thank you so so so much. I have thrown away so much glitter vinyl that I actually gave up using it. But I will definitely give it another try.
That makes it so much easier
Oh, I forgot to watch your channel before buying Cricut vinyl. First time using vinyl instead of paper. Struggling with correct pressure.
Very good teacher! Very informative. Patient and explain well through own experiences.
Awesome job. I now buy Starcraft because of you.! Thank u .

@@mrcraftypants I just put the transfer tape onto my Wish list there too for when I get super low on my Cricut stuff.
Thanks for your channel. I have the confidence to use my circuit maker, for more than just one colour decals. I'm going to try the glass etching next.
I have that exact same tool chest set up in my craft space and I love it. So durable and so much storage!!!!
Where did you get it? It looks like it will hold 12 X 12 sheets of paper and vinyl well
