Jennifer Can I just mention that I value these videos where you are real to us? These afternoon Craft Parties are so informative, but your never talking down to us - you confess your struggles and its beautiful. Thanks!
A tip from me. When you weed on the mat, and have some of the mat not covered with vinyl, use the mat cover to cover the sticky of the mat that way your arm or shirt isn't sticking to the mat. Have a great day.
I am loving how much I just keep on learning new things with each new video. This one is particularly packed full of great tips and tricks. Thanks for making our crafting lives so much better!
If you don't have a light pad or desk lamp, get out your cinnamon and cornstarch or baby powder, a saucer or a small container with a lid, and a fluffy makeup brush. Use the cinnamon on light colors and powder or cornstarch on dark colors. Just tip out a bit onto the saucer or into the small container, dip in the brush and sweep and swirl the brush across the cut vinyl. Swish until only the cut lines show, then weed. Once you've weeded the vinyl, use a lint roller, a baby wipe or a microfiber cloth to wipe off the backing sheet and cutouts before applying your transfer sheet.
MIND BLOWN! I'm sitting here with my Air 2 and saying WHY DON"T I SEE THAT?!?!? Because I used the dial!!! Moved it to custom and man things are cutting out much better! THANKS!!!
Creating the box is a great idea. Thanks. When i first made attempts at weeding it was awful but with practice i now find weeding rather relaxing. It's all fun and i always liked challenges. Love all your inspiration.
I have to tell you, when you said “Make weeding less painful “ I nearly broke into tears. Seriously. I have disabilities and most everything I do is painful but last week I did two TWO, Libby glasses and I haven’t been able to use my hand for a week and it’s still extremely painful because of the weeding it took to get them done. I desperately need to learn some more tips for weeding. Thank you ❤
Jennifer, girl, you are my best discovery of 2023!!! Thank you so much for ALL your tips, tricks and hacks! I had NO idea there was so much to learn (at the age of nearly 60!!). Lots of love to you xxxxx
This video help me so much.I just got my Eplorer air 2 as a gift.and im trying my best to learn how it works.listening to you is so much easier for me.Thank yoi for all you do..
I can’t wait to try these techniques out. I just completed 240 Merry & Bright ornaments. I had more problems trying to get the reverse weeding straight in my brain. Thank you so much.
I seem to miss your live show Every single time. I get the time zones all mixed up. One of these days, Jennifer, I will be here on time (hopefully). Thank Goodness for Replay!
Hi, an old tip trick for weeding I learned in the 90’s from a sign company was to see cut lines is to use a touch of baby powder if you have no light box or good lighting/eyes works great for darker vinyls. Or colored chalk for white vinyl . Also marking chalk for Sheetrock
Third attempt at using the Joy but very first successful attempt thanks to this video. That drawing a box around it tip came in real handy. I am sitting here with my first weeded design but only have the Stronggrip tape and don't want to destroy my fully weeded design. Now that I watched this whole video I'm going to wait and order some standard transfer tape. Thanks for your help.
I struggled with the words on the vase when I made it in March and decided not to take them off. Yes, I will be making more now usig those beautiful words!
Weeding boxes. I had no idea! I have wasted so much vinyl because when I'm pulling it it gets stuck on the back side and I don't know what I'm doing obviously and I am thank you so much I just thank you thank you thank you thank you. You literally just save me
You can weed with an exacto blade. That way you can cut as you go (and you don’t have to search for scissors). And if the tip gets dull, you can replace it.
Thank you very, very, very much helping me understand this vinyl world. At least the tricky part of it. The explanations are very clear added to your cool, calm and educational voice. Being an asthmatic, I find I’m sick after a project. Is there something I’m doing wrong ? My work space is air conditioned though. 😢 Thank you for your precious help.
You're so welcome! I don't think that weeding vinyl can cause any health issues, but you should reach out to a medical professional with any concerns. 😊🌻
The pillow is so elegant in the gold & black. The 'Let It Snow' in the blue glitter vinyl is my favorite. Soooo beautiful! I clean, clean, clean when someone is coming over as well. lol
Jennifer, Thank you!! I got a Cricut Explore Air 2 for Christmas. Your UA-cam videos are awesome!! This is the third video I've watched. Your instructions perfectly clear (which I greatly appreciate) and your sense of humor helps reduce the nervousness fade away. :)
Thanks so much! Congratulations on your new machine! We have a free series of online classes that show you how to set up and begin creating with your machine as a new Cricut owner! Here's the link to sign up: makeracademy.com/cricutkickoff
Jennifer ! You are a life saver, I have gotten so much better at using my cricut because of you ! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge - you're a fantastic teacher ❤
Have you tried the lighted weeding tools? I know they run around $30, but I have some vision problems and think that I may get one. All the reviews say it’s a game changer! 😊
What can I say another wounderful teaching lesson! Sorry I miss the live the replay was great and enjoyable as always get tips and info!!! Your amazing and very talented Lady Love all that you do I am always amaze and learn something every time I watch Jennifer thank you so much for everything beautiful lady and thank you to your amazing team!!!! Hugs Liz x
I saw a video where after cutting an intricate design on vinyl, they placed the transfer paper on top of the cut unweeded project then simply pulled the transfer tape up nd the design self weeded. I have not tried this but it looks pretty interesting.
I tried making the boxes over my smaller designs but I apparently didn’t do a step. When cutting my vinyl it cut the bos shapes but not the smaller designs inside. Help! What did I do wrong?
Jennifer, as you suggested, I have my pressure setting on 'more', but if I need a deeper cut, how do I do that on my Explore Air 2? I so enjoy watching your tutorials and videos, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
I just found this tutorial. Thank you very much for all your knowledge. I’m just learning. My question is how did you “connect” the Let it Snow design? Thanks
Please can you make a village of houses (where it can be resized) especially including places of worship... eg temples, mosques, churches, synogue etc.... we would really appreciate that . As want to do light up houses with places of worship, school, shop etc
I was watching your video on weeding hacks or weeding made easy. My computer shut down over night and now I can't find it. Do you know where I might find it
I never used cutter before but one thing puzzles me. Why don’t you cut deeper trough white vinyl support only around parts that you don’t want? So when you remove design from cutting mat all small parts would stay attached to cutting pad.
Jennifer, this video popped up in my feed & after just a few minutes, I subscribed! Great explanations, esp for a beginner like me. Would you possibly be able to provide a link to the beautiful “Let it Snow” file? Living in Ohio, it would be perfect for my family! Thanks again for your helpful clear & concise content. ❤❤❤
Interesting tips! Thank you so much. If I were to use a piece of fabric to make the transfer tape less tacky wont there be lint on the vinyl design? Or does that not adhere. Thanks!

Please please tips for small words to avoid the machine not to tear the vinyl thank you
The cardinal vase was my favorite project that I made awhile ago, I just love it. I thanked you then and I thank you again.❤❤
Wish I could hit the like button multiple times through the sessions! I love your tips & hacks!
Me too!😃
Oh my goodness, the weeding box is GENIUS!!! Wish I had watched this before I had started making the 60 wood ornament gifts!

Another suggestion for a weeding trash holder is a empty disinfectant wipe container that has the small slots that you would pull the cloth’s through.
Great idea!
Hubby to the rescue!! Love it. And you didn’t get flustered Jennifer.
Thanks for the weeding box technique! I'm a Joy newbie and wondered how I could just have the overall design cut without all the detail. 👍

I'm almost 60 and glad to hear that you, at 70, are enriching your life with amazing Cricut!!

Very true!
Again…every time I think I know things, Jennifer shows a new tutorial and I learn more.

Thank you so much for these videos. Weeding makes me cry, and I want to never do it again. I've been struggling. You have been helpful.
You got this! Don't forget to choose more pressure.
Glad this tutorial will be available to go back and watch since there is so much information to try and take in.
Hubs bought me a lamp that is also a magnifying glass! I love it cause my eyes aren't as young as they used to be! Thanks for your tips!
You are the queen of cricut, I have learned so much from you. thank you thank you
I can't stand weeding small letters! They always come up and move around and yes stuck everywhere but where I want them! Great video and so helpful!
they can definitely be tricky!🥰
I'm only at the weeding boxes tip and I'm blown away! Thank you!!!!
So glad!

I used to love Shrinky Dinks when I was a kid! The Cricut can do so much!
I am glad you showed how to get that iron on glitter vinyl off...that is so hard everytime I use it.
I missed this one I was at church, but I'm watching the re-run
Yes, I love my cricut weeding kit.
Thank you, this video was extremely helpful for me to understand. TEST..test..test vinyl before full cut of design.
Glad it was helpful!💗
Acckkkk! I bought about 90 rolls of vinyl. Didn't know it has a shelf life
I didn't know that either thanks for letting me know!
The weeding box is such a great idea.
Wow! You have made my life so much easier and I am actually excited to use my Explorer II again. I was so intimidated the last time I tried weeding.
I'm so happy to hear that! 🥰
I'm happy I caught you before you ended. I'll have to watch from the beginning.
It's overwhelming with all the different vinyls !
There are really only three types. Permanent, Removable, and Iron-on. 😊🌻
love the "let it snow" file - thanks for sharing it. Very helpful glitter iron-on tutorial.
wow 😮 I’m honestly learning so much watching your videos 🥰 thank you, thank you, thank you!
Love weeding in the car!
Great tips. I'm fairly new to Cricut, so every little tip helps enormously
I'm happy to help!
Jennifer, thanks! Again I learned so much on this video!! You are awesome and so caring!! Thanks for everything!!

We haven't, but they do look very useful! 😊🌻
Im a little behide ive been sick watching some of video now Thanks

@@JenniferMaker, thank you! I'll look for it.
I feel the same way about weeding! Love the box idea. Thank you!
So glad!
Congratulations to the winners!
I just found out today that I can use the weeding scraps, so no vinyl is wasted
Hi Jennifer I finally figured out how down load your book. I’m loving my joy still have a lot to learn but I have you so I will be fine!! 😂
Thank you! 😃
Jennifer, as you suggested, I have my pressure setting on 'more', but if I need a deeper cut, how do I do that on my Explore Air 2? I so enjoy watching your tutorials and videos, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
THIS was so helpful, I almost gave my machine away after 4 unsuccessful tries today
Weeding box is an awesome idea!
I love all of your videos and svgs. I have learned so much from you!!
Love this video I will have to try the Pen Hack
I am a newbie so I appreciate all the tips you are sharing. :)

Hello! Hope you are having a great day
I’m late too. 😢 watching now. Happy 3rd Day of Advent JM and team.
Thats great, I hope I can download my own design too!
Thank you!!! You make me smile.
You are so welcome! 💕
I just found this tutorial. Thank you very much for all your knowledge. I’m just learning. My question is how did you “connect” the Let it Snow design? Thanks
I redesigned it to have all connecting parts.
I’m interested in making shirts, keychains & book markers for now!
I lift a tiny piece at the corner so I can see the clear side so the other side goes up to cut
Really great tips! Thank you!!
Sorry I'm late today. Weekends are so busy! I enjoy your videos. I love that glass vase with the cardinals on it. I want to make this.
Can you point me to a video where I can learn the difference between the Cricut Explore 3 and the Cricut Maker 3 or other Makers?
Yes! facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
Wow...the details are incredible!
I’m, you’re brilliant! Weeding boxes🙌🏻
😃 ♥️
Love the idea of reverse weeding!
Love this, pretty design
Glad you like it! 😊🌻

I absolutely love this project

I never used cutter before but one thing puzzles me. Why don’t you cut deeper trough white vinyl support only around parts that you don’t want? So when you remove design from cutting mat all small parts would stay attached to cutting pad.
You do not want to cut through the carrier sheet.
Rather than in creasing pressure for iron on glitter vinyl can you just use the deep cut blade?

Interesting tips! Thank you so much. If I were to use a piece of fabric to make the transfer tape less tacky wont there be lint on the vinyl design? Or does that not adhere. Thanks!
It will not adhere to the top of the vinyl.
