@@AmyMakesThat I would love to see how you get a curved surface set up for etching. Mine is always bleeding through. I have a couple wine glasses I want to make for my friends and I'm terrified it will be a disaster lol
RE#2, I put the mat in the groove for your tablet/phone and slide to one side, then do same with the bottom of the protective cover sheet and roll up. Works great. Also, the side matters, so when brand new out of package, I put a small sticker in one of the corners to indicate the proper side to be up. Can't wait to try all your hacks, including yours for #2. TY
Today is my first time watching your video, and you are amazing. I love how you explain everything, and the hacks are incredible. I will be watching more of your videos. Thank you so much for your time.
Thank you for going into detail about what an SVG is. I am new to the Cricut world. I hear about this all of the time and had no idea what it is. Although I am not even close to ready to do an SVG, it’s good to know what it means.
This was really helpful. A few tips I already knew, but the ones I didn’t are game changing! Thank you, it’s a shame how many videos I had to watch before I came across this actually helpful video!
you're a great teacher. Do you have any tutorials on making stickers? What would I need to do them? I appreciate anything you can help me with. Keep up the good work!!
The wet method will work ONLY if you are willing to make your vynil non removeable. Once it dryes, the glue will left a lot of residue on the material. (Unless you use automotive vynil which you would never need to apply like this since it has texture on the glue side that wont capture air)
Before using the Triangle method (Brilliant Idea)… did you have to manually duplicate original image, put like colors together, then attach by colors? Thank you! I wish I had seen your video a couple of weeks ago!
Hi Cindy! I explained this process in my How To Create an SVG video - an SVG has multiple layers that are different colors, so when it was uploaded into Cricut Design Space there were 3 layers inputted. I hope this answers your question! I'll link the SVG video here for you too :) ua-cam.com/video/X0WSzIhIdg8/v-deo.html
hi Amy. hope you can help me with. my cricut printed the design bigger and the design size ( design photo is 5 inch but when i print it out it come to 5.3 inch. i dont know where i went wrong!. hope to reply from you. thanks
Great hacks but I always use the groove on the top of the Cricut machine to align the protective sheet. Just place the matt on the groove an lean it back. Take the transparent protective sheet and place the bottom of it on the groove. Just lean it back from the bottom to the top and it is done. I thought that groove was designed for that.
Ouuu thank you for the tricks and tips!!! *** Did you know that Cricut FINALLY can let you print and cut in whatever size you want now with the Beta version?? SOOOOOOO HAPPY!!
Thank you! My favs from this video that I’m going to try are: aligning the clear mat cover, box weeding & adding triangles to layer vinyl. I’ve done the parchment paper one but it can be hard to see exactly where to align. Thanks again!
I would like to have seen the water method on the curved glass.
That clip was from my etching tutorial! I can do a quick video like a YT short, TikTok, IG reel for curved surfaces. Let me know 😊
