Meredith has all these little sisters that she has to care for. Bailey has always been the best Big Sister to her. Holding her accountable, being angry at her but then forgiving her for her decisions or mistakes. I love their relationship. Its gotten so strong over the years.
Bailey is such a kind and compassionate person. So much so that she holds all of her own feelings inside when she thinks it will be hard for other people to hear her pain. Sometimes that comes out in ways that make her seem cold and detached and a little neurotic and annoying but she's just so pure and good at her core and I love that about her. She's the epitome of what a well-written complex character should be. 💜
It is such an incredible treat for me as a fan when we get to see the soft side of Bailey, It's so rare seeing her open her heart, to see her grapple with the complexity of merely being human. It's in these moments you get to see how insanely gifted Chandra is as an actress. I really hope Mer remembers what she told her when she wakes up.
Miranda Bailey: Covid Patients Aren’t Faceless or Nameless... This episode was beautifully written and directed..... I cried my eyes out as this made me think of my mama a lot.... She passed in 2016 of cancer at 63, I had to be home with my nieces who were too young to be at the Hospice Care, my sisters were with her when she passed away.... The night of the day she passed away, I dreamt I was standing in my mama’s yard and she was an Angel flying at me and wrapped her wings around me as her way to let me know everything was gonna be okay and she wasn’t hurting anymore..... I feel for Miranda and all families who have lost loved ones to Covid....... The list of victims at the end credits of the show blew my mind and I bawled..... Nearly 20 years of #TeamGrey and we’ve been left with amazing memories and will miss GreysAnatomy❤️
The writers are doing a phenomenal job. Also thanks for sharing your experience. It gave me the courage to talk. My mother in-law passed away this year from cancer and had COVID. My wife, brother and Dad watched her last breath while I was home taking care of my daughter. This episode colors my family’s experience so well. Again thanks for sharing. This is the first time I’m actually writing about this since the funeral, which was in June. Actually getting emotional. Blessings to you and your family.
December 11, 2020 - I love this scene between Bailey and Meredith - Yeah even though Bailey trained Meredith as an intern, they have now become friends and more like sister because Bailey is not that much older than Meredith to be like a parent, even though Bailey wants to sometimes act like it. Bailey and Meredith are both more alike than they want to admit, it is hard for them both to open up or show emotion.
Always thought she should have stayed with tom. But she hurt him the way she left and then played him by sleeping with him and tell him she still choose owen
Teddy and Tom were great. Owen was better with Christina. Children was their issue. But now he has kids, it would be nice to have Christina come back for the finale. Have her become the head of Cardio. Her and Owen could start over. Teddy and Owen are best friends that had feelings, but kept missing eachother. Timing was never right until finally, they just weren't right together anymore. I think they should have had the one nighter, have her get pregnant and then co parent like Mark and Callie

While I don’t have much to back this up, it is fully possible for comatose patients to be lucid and aware of their surroundings. In cases like this I think she is as mentioned before in a sort of limbo between life and death. Maybe it’s because I believe in an afterlife but personally I choose to think that when Meredith is with Bailey she is lucid and aware, considering Bailey never shows awareness of Meredith on the beach or in real life while when speaking with Derek and George they have a real conversation. But then again, this is a TV show and everyone dies from Alzheimers apparently so I wouldn’t put too much thought into it
