Great tips, just started my HCSSF journey this week, lost two already but watching your video gives me a healthy perspective that my efforts are not 100% wasted, you are just building your account to that one epic character moment!
Nice info! Perhaps I should try a few HC runs. I die quite a lot, but the "save gear in stash" strategy could help with that I guess. Had one normal SSF char that got a really lucky weapon drop and he has died a lot less than my other chars.
Yeah and I feel like its totally normal to die a bunch of times per act until you get nice items ready to go for your next char and then it becomes progressively easier. The issue is balancing the items you lose on the dead char vs the items you keep for the next one. Best of luck :)
I upgraded all my stash tabs to premium with some of the poe2 pack dosh...would say more tabs might have been a better pick, since you have folders, but loot filter is probably the best option.
On league reset, I may be trying HCSSF. I'm not really enjoying Trade League and trying to keep up with the economy. The only good part is being guaranteed maps entry (decent dmg / cap res ) relatively cheap. I honestly wouldn't really mind spending my time using the stuff I find instead of sitting in currency exchange and trading everything for exalted and divine orbs. I do hope that league reset comes with some HC / SFF changes and crafting (gambling) changes. That would 100% convert me to SSF at the bare minimum.
After getting a bunch of jewellery through my multiple dead chars, Ive pretty easily got res cap options. Currently my char has 49% chaos res and everything else capped (with 114% fire res which I cant lower atm). It took quite a bit of grinding/crafting/gambling/reforging and vendor shopping to get here, but feelsgood :D Trading stuff like exalts and divines instead of using them is kinda sad I feel like, I imagine on trade league you’d never actually use a divine orb (or almost never). Isnt that kinda sad? I know you’re very likely to get bad results when using these items, but still 😁
All of these are pretty good tips and sell hcssf well, but the defense/offense explanation was a little too long for the passive tree. You also have to mention that sometimes offense is the safest option for bosses. Kitava from poe1 has a lot of rippy attacks, but becomes much more manageable if he doesn't even have the time to launch more than two slams or x marks the spot. Going in blind, it's more understandable to try to beef up, but again-it IS more time to make a mistake. I haven't gotten to it yet. But in addition to stash = progress, you need well tuned loot filters to search for just the perfect implicits- since you want to sort of collect the best item you can craft for every 15-20 levels and that happens over many runs. I think they made implicit defenses drop all the same in poe2 but poe1 it can be a considerable edge. Recently I was also suprised that I was having more fun with every new character cause I tend to use uniques that didn't fit my previous character and they'd tend to work out just as good if not better.

Great tips that i wished was targeted by big content creators instead of always building only glass canons! Thanks for the info~

How does your Solo Self Found benefit from past Hardcore deaths? I thought it was... self found?
You keep your stash
When you die on one hcssf character you get to keep the items for your next hcssf characters? Is this correct?
the items equipped on the character which died as well as the inventory will no longer be accessible in hardcore. but items in your stash are safe.
@ you’re a godsend, time to go cheese an everlasting gaze in act 1
Just to add to apeiron's response, your gold is also safe :)
Cheesing through act 1 is easy and fun but dying before maps is still going to feel like shit 😂 @@matmodaboss
You should share your builds!
I’ll make a vid about my fav one so far :)
