CarMax joyrides my GTR and I'm....

- The used car market is crazy right now. Used car prices are as much or more than new car prices for certain vehicles. It also applies to the GTR market, so I'm curious to know what CarMax, Carvana and Vroom would pay me for my GTR and how it would compare in price to a private party sale. Let me know if you think GTR prices are just going to keep going up from here or if it'll go back to "normal".

I wouldn’t sell mine either. I’m keeping it all the way. It’ll be kinda like Supra Mk4 later on down the road.
Agree.
I hope the carmax guy made sure the trans temp was on point 👀 don’t sell it, a life without GTR is possible but useless 😅
in europe its even more than in america, you can add 20k everywhere in your list :)
exemple a 2017+ is now 105k minimum and you can find 2009-11 for 95-98k with 80k miles wtf x'D its fcking depressing
Lol wow. You could have titled the video, "CarMax takes my GT-R for a joyride" and no would be upset for click bait. 🤣
I regret selling the NSX every day. you're doing the right thing. still got my TSX tho. She's over 607k miles now.
I'm never selling mine..I've had 3 GTRs so far and I've regretted selling my last Two..never again! :)
Id love to see you pick up a GR 86. I know the feeling you have with your GTR i have the same feeling with my 2016 FRS.
I've also debated whether or not to sell my 2010 GTR, but decided to keep it. I'm curious how much the prices will go up once the R35 get discontinued this year or the next.
The R35 GTR is an era car. It's only going to go up because of limited supply and recognition in the car community.
If you look at the Lexus LFA prices. Right now you cannot get one in good condition for less than 800K.
@@GTContent to be determined...we shall see
Will a T-SPEC OR 2020 GTR track edition 600 HP with nismo turbos be worth more 1 day!? Which one would you rather have!?
Your car is obviously in good shape, as most GTR are, but they had to drive it (And do a couple pulls) "just to make sure". 😀
Not selling my '18, I like it too much.
hi, Hercules, my 2018 navigation system voice is out ( knew they came with 3 years free only ) talked to Nissan they said AT&T no longer support 2G / 3G, any idea I can get it back? THX man !
Hey bud, where you from Cali? So or no cal
CenCal
My dream car is a GTR
I made the mistake of selling mine a few years back, and am in the process of repurchasing an identical one now. 😅😅 Don't ever sell one once you get it.
I'm gonna get the r36 in 10 years and a Nissan z in 4 years. It's my dream.
Thank you for your great content I learned alot about gtr here
Agree, I basically gave away my S13 shells with full interior in 2010 and look at the prices now. Plus I can’t find any half decent shells and if I do they’re 5k lol
Right! Who would have known it was going to be like this.
Em2 civics are still depreciating
That CarMax guy had a blast taking a car that’s probably out of his economic range for basically a joyride lol
Edit: And yes I’ll do same also
I have 2002 Tundra with 262k miles. I paid $6k for it back in 2012. I have people wanted to buy for the same price I paid in 2012.
If you don't plan to find another one, then it's a great time to sell.
I started to post some GT-R videos ... Carvana offered me 58.2k for my 09 with 72k miles ! I could make money right now but there's nothing out there for me that beats the performance. It looks like GT-R with lower millage is actually worth even more. For example if my car had 25k miles. Please make more content !vroom is not so good. I would not let people drive my GTR. Unless I'm going with the guy. How many miles on your car ? I agree. I miss so many cars that i sold in the past. Best way is to keep em and keep adding and sell it when we get old!
The Carmax guy really enjoyed it didn't he. Hopefully the joyride wasn't that long!
I would never take my sports car into carmax so they can joyride lol
Sounded like the inspector just wanted a joyride lol
If theyre offering crazy money, Id trade in and run. But after seeing the quote its a bit meh... You interested in the new Z at all? or holding off for a Nismo spec or equivalent car? Youre right about selling sometimes its not worth the hassle of regretting.
I'm going to be the bearer of bad news, but....the Z isn't that impressive to me based on specs and potential. The BMW Supra is still the winner of the rivalry.
At this point in life, one of my wants is something simple, rwd, great handling, practical and nimble , like my first 240SX.
The Tacoma market is insane at the moment!!!
Keep it forever!
Tbh in my area I was able to Find a 2013 SXT Challenger with 130k miles for 11k. I am honestly Debating whether I should pull the trigger and get one. I currently only have 13k rn.
I was fortunate enough to finally pull the trigger on one mid price hike and I'm so glad I was able to find a good one with low miles and stock. Definitely a car worth holding onto as long as possible. Cheers! 🍻
Amazing vid and great wholesale price…def keep it. That value isn’t gonna go down and you have an excellent centerpiece with a great story (I remember how you told us you stretched out the amortization). Happy for you Gary!
I just saw 09 with 11k miles for $80k…but the test drive was weird…it made different noises and felt clunky…should I buy it?
No. Wait for a 2012+
@@GTContent I had Nissan check it out and said it’s the fly wheel and bell housing. The dealer said they will repair it as Nissan ($6,000) job. I think it’s a good deal…no?
@@Xspeedspec All GTR will eventually have the bellhousing issue. Nissan didn't fix the issue even in later years. There are aftermarket fixes that are better.
In my opinion, if you are starting with no GTR, it's better to get a 2012+ for the refinements. If the earlier GTR's are what you can afford, then it's fine also. At the end of the day, you have a GTR.
Your point is received. I know how it may be when it comes to owning car(s). I've always wanted an Acura RSX Type S when the car first came out a lifetime ago, went to Acura and even test drove it. I knew I wanted it and I wasn't able to get it because the price was out of my reach at the time. Waited a lifetime later, saved enough money, found a used one at the dealer, and finally bought it. Took many years to get it. Since I've owned it I've been approached by many people who tried to buy it from me and I've told them all "NO". Even a Honda dealer tried to get me to trade it to them for one of their cars and even told them "NO". (True story). The RSX Type S, particularly the 05-06 model, is so rare and highly sought after by people who know about this car that it's still in high demand. If you have the A Spec package people drool over that one the most as it has a body kit & Type R part(s) that only makes the enthusiast lust over it the most.
Sold my 17 sti and regret it every day what a mistake!! Im annoyed with the test drive there, i know you have to drive it but you should respect others property.
You think I should wait or buy a 2014-2016 gtr this year??
I was gonna try my sequoia trd pro too but i was like nah its one of a kind ima keep it...even tho im sure they are gonna offer me really good deal im just like nah...not worth it.
I feel the same way with my 2009 Bullitt Mustang that I sold. It was mint. Regret selling it so much.
I feel the same 2010 premium Akropovic titanium exhaust my dream car
That Corvette and Camaro has available at CarMax, man.
Video idea, how to do a coolant change on a GTR… asking for a friend 😉
I think there is a kit you can buy to delete the reverse beeping.
oh hell naw bro ain't nobody beating on my gtr without me knowing
what tyre do you currently use on ur gtr? could you pls give me the specification pls lots thx.
Oem size Michelin Pilot Super Sport.
I'd report the CarMax and get an extra check from them for racing your car.
I'm not offended. It's great content.
I hope they warmed it up before those full throttle pulls
keeper...GTR...love video...
Always appreciate the vids, glad you are pushing out quality content as always!
Thank you for the support.
This is in Fresno lmao
What are the specs on your GTR like year and mileage
2013
@@GTContent how much mileage
@@x305HuStLa I'm around 9,000 miles.
@@GTContent damn you barely drive it. That’s easily worth 85k no problem
