- Frogman Tactical’s CQC/EDC blade, “Gideon V1”.
I have been working with @tkellknives to get the Gideon online and into production.
The Gideon is a self defense double edged blade for maximum cutting capabilities, Nickel Boron coated, finger ring for multi tasking, and tough as can be, just to name a few of its qualities.
There will only be 50 of the “V1” set into production. Each one will be marked accordingly.

Looks like my C.U.T from Tops Knives. Love the retention ring design with the straight blade. Will have to try to pick this one up too. Love the double edge as well

If you are familiar with anatomy and where the major arteries and organs are then 2 to 3 inches of a very sharp blade are all you need. Me personally I want a minimum of 5 inches of blade. I have 2 six inch folders that I carry EDC, one left and one right pocket. With those I can sever just about any arm, leg and almost the neck completely.
Cold Steel makes some incredible, durable blades. Great prices too.
what type of retention clip going to be for v1?
It looks similar to the Double Star i carry.
I think if I had one of those I'd end up just hurting myself lol

In what military did you use 1095 and exactly what was it used for lol happen to have the nomenclature for this item or the field manual because I am highly interested as nowhere did I see anything in 1095 used when I served and fought overseas...

Guns are scary, knives are terrifying. I need a trainer cause I can’t sharpen a knife to save my life
There are some really good fixed angle sharpening systems out there that make it a lot easier. WorkSharp, Lansky, even Spyderco's Sharpmaker are all good options. They end up being a small investment up front, but they pay for themselves quickly when you consider how much you can save in professional sharpening services or (for kitchen knives) buying new ones when your current ones go dull.

The guy he's having make the knives, T. Kell Knives, looks to sell small fixed blades like this for around $110. He also has larger models that are going for $200. So probably in that range.

You said in a video from 2 years ago that a folder is all you need because you "aren't a knife fighter." What changed??
I still don’t train knife fighting, I.e. standing there face to face with knives. More less knife defense.
I’m As far as what shifted my mindset. Simply to evolve and teach my children to be more prepared in all aspects of defense.
Guns are great but it’s not always a gun fight.

I cannot imagine a lot of good scenarios (when traveling) that if you were in trouble you would want to make a huge BOOM to give away your location within a mile if serious SHTF. Some neighborhoods are dangerous even in the day. There must be situations where you need fast, deadly but discreet options.

@@thomasmcozart1093 looking at Tkellknives (the guy he's having make these), his stuff seems to range in the $100-$200 region. Which, depending on the blade steel being used, might be about on par with other high end fixed blades.
