I always enjoy your videos as you do an excellent job in describing what you show. I am not sure that skull crusher is non-lethal though. I am in the process of purchasing this particular knife. I should be upset with you for all the money I am spending (but I am not), you’re a great salesman.
I tend to enjoy what I have and share that with others, hence the implied salesmanship. Glad you're liking my channel and hope you come back often! You'll love this little knife by the way, skull crusher and all!
Thank you as always for the excellent review. I forgot to let you know that I have changed to 80CRV2 and the finish has had the Nickle Phosphorus added to the Nickle Boron and the dark grey coloring is now called Recon Distressed.
Was interested by your discussion of the merits of carbon steel in custom kitchen knives (one of your first youtube videos?) and am wondering if using nickel boron finish on high carbon steel chef knives would be a good idea to protect these from rust (as well as making them glide through cuts easier). Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
@@OGBladeReviews My new Nightguard due to deliver on Monday....can't wait! For the past month or so I've been carrying that Reverse Tanto Nightshade. I absolutely love it. Very much enjoy your content by the way. I appreciate your time.✌️
@ThisOldSwordBladeReviews It would be great if attacked by an experienced graplier trying to choke you to death. It truly is a great blade to get an attacker off you.
I got one about 7 months ago and noticed these weird spots starting to show up. What are these dark brown stains all along the sharp part of the blade? Is the metal already starting to rust?
Sounds like rust, since the exposed edge isn't Nickel Boron coated and the steel is high carbon, thus rustable. Thing to do is wipe it down daily with a silicone gun cloth, just as you would a blued pistol. Fine cutlery, just like firearms, require some maintenance. 👍🗡️👌 Note: Flitz polish paste will clean off existing rust, without much trouble.... again, if the knife is used in daily carry, exposed to sweat or other moisture the high carbon steel will rust with no maintenance. Check out T.KELL website for tips on blade care.
I'd love to see ONE MORE RIVET HOLE in the sheath at the point of the blade for vertical neck carry from Paracord. I've never trusted those ball chains. That's a lot of tension to put on a ball chain to get it out of a kydex sheath. This would be an incredible neck knife.
Interesting how both the Nightshade and the Guardian models have wharnie blades, whereas his other knife which he talks about using for self-defense as well, the nightstalker has a different spear-point (?) blade. Interesting to have your thoughts (Tim's as well of course) on the differences of these with regards to self-defense use. I got the viewpoints of Kelly McCann and Michael Janich of their wharnie style tactical/self-defense knives (the Spyderco Canis and the Spyderco Yojimbo respectively), but there obviously must be other points of view on the merits of different blade shapes for knife fighting.
@@OGBladeReviews Agree. I was thinking more of different styles of knife fighting maybe (I don't know, but I'm guessing there are probably reasons why kukris are shaped the way they are and those are also fighting knives...just thoughts).
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. There are quite a few in the lineup and I've reviewed two previously as I showed in this video. I'm sure I'll be reviewing others up the line including the nightstalker. 👊🗡️👍
That would really depend upon what your EDC consists of. It's a small knife but useful for a number of different cutting tasks as well as its primary purpose as a self-protection tool.

The holes are DNA collection receptacles.

Hilarious 😂
very NICE. ❤ Unfortunately it's hard to find in Germany
You'll need to order it directly from the maker in the US. Tkellknives.com
@@OGBladeReviews I will probably do that then. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"skull crusher" probably not synonymous with "non-lethal". Thanks for the review.
"Persuader," then. The other term is merely historic, rather than actual.... 😎

Is that considered double edged?
Yup!
An inch longer blade
Veff serrations
Included molle clip
INSTANT MARKET HIT!!
Is that the Nightstalker?
Nope, name's in the title. 😁👍
What grip option is that ?
Owesome review like always. U should review the bigger one the nightstalker i guess.

Aye that looks awesome!! 🔪⚡️
Right up your alley TT! 👍🗡️👊
With angles that drastic it should be advertised as a prybar
It works for its intended purpose, and perhaps is a pry bar as well.. 🤔👍
Should I use a ratchet as a hammer too?
@@TkellKnives In a pinch...you could.😉
Try the RMJ tactical "stabby guy"- very similar but actually intended to be used to pry

Is those OK as an edc?
That would really depend upon what your EDC consists of. It's a small knife but useful for a number of different cutting tasks as well as its primary purpose as a self-protection tool.
Mainly cardboard boxes, and opening packages.
Should work perfectly for those chores!
