Light Up Pumpkin made from Reclaimed Fence | A Halloween Project with my Daughter

- Its time for another Halloween project with my Daughter Hayley. This time we decided to make a Pumpkin that lights up. We found these orange, battery operated LED lights that will work great for this build. We used some reclaimed, cedar fence pickets and some scrap blocks of wood to build out the pumpkin. I used the front panel as my router template to trim the back and sides. It worked out great. This little guy came out awesome. We has so much fun putting this Halloween Project together.
Here's our Halloween Project from last year. - • DIY Lighted Halloween ...

She's adorable and not camera shy at all. Next gen UA-cam woodworking entrepreneur.
If UA-cam gave cutest video award, this would be it.
They should start that award! Thank You.
I have watched hundreds of UA-cam vids but I have to say that this is the most intertaining and was so fun to watch. It is obvious that Hayley loves being with her dad and visa versa. Never stop ...making memories! God bless!
Loved your video, and including your beautiful daughter was such a treat. Way to raise your daughter right.
Thank you so much! I try to involve her as much as I can. I feel that this stuff is more important than a lot of people think.
OH my god! So cute! Love the project and Hayley is adorable. CANDY BREAK!
Thanks! Can't resist a candy break.
Just found this video, and your channel. As much as I'm not a kid person, your daughter is adorable. You're an awesome dad. Working with her will be something she'll never forget. And ... great project, too.
Thank you! We have a ton of fun working on things.
Hayley is right it's kinda pretty cool
I love it. "Kinda Pretty Cool"
Man of great patients. LOL Love the way you’re spending time with your child. They grow up too fast then they’re gone and time with them is not as plentiful as you would like.
It's nice to see young kids getting g involved in things like this.
First video of yours that I’ve seen. Love the enthusiasm and interplay with your daughter. Can really tell that you both love the time you build together. This is something she’ll remember for a long time. Way to go dad.
Great job. Way to get your daughter involved.
Thank you. Its very important to me to get her involved in making things. You never know when she'll need to know how to do things like this.
So good to see you involve your daughter in the build. Way to raise the youngster right.
I thought the same ❤️My dad taught me so much ❤️very thankful! Dads you are the greatest!
My babiy grew up but I tried to involve her in the shop. Love your daughter. You had better enjoy her now before she grows up and knows everything.
Love the Jack O' Lantern. Love watching you with your daughter. Great relationship you both have together. I hope I am around when she has her own You Tube channel building beautiful projects because of all she has learned with you.
Thanks so much. I feel very strongly that our kids need to know that they can create things themselves. You don't always have to buy stuff from the store.
You’re a great dad!!! Keep up the good work!! She will remember every bit of it when she grows up and that will be priceless to her!!
Nice job Hayley.
What a sweet little helper she will be awesome with wood when she is grown love the pumpkin thanks for sharing..
Nice prodget love the assistant and candy breaks
Its important to take a candy break now and then. Lol.
Absolutely great project. Enjoyes including your young helper.
That was a lot of fun!! Hayley is a hoot. Enjoy her every time she helps with a project.
Thanks, So do I.
Hayley, you are a natural! The camera loves you! :)
I think she likes the camera too.
Great product and teamwork! Thanks for a fabulous video.
Thank You!
Brilliant mate 👍🇬🇧
That's cool
Great project. And I like how you were able to incorporate Haley in the project. You had her do as much as was safe for here to do. Great job. I wasn’t sure you would have enough clearance for a finger between the battery box and the back. I have a suggestion. Cut out and access panel on the back, so you can change batteries easily. The eye access is best still for on/off.
She's gonna be after your job in a couple years. XD Cool project and great relationship!
I'd be OK with that. If she wants to do it I'd be a happy guy.
Awesome
This brings back so many memories of working in the shop with my Dad. Skills she is learning will serve her well!!!
That's really cool. Great job guys!
Thanks so much!
Very nice.
Fantastic seeing you and your daughter working together
Great job, father daughter project that is useable every year even after they grow up. Gonna make one of these myself, sadly my daughter lives in another state, but have something for when they show up on the holidays. Thanks for the great project idea.
Pretty good bro.
Great idea with the reclaimed lumber.
Thanks 👍
I hope that little helper is on the payroll.
Lol! She is.
You are one of my favorite woodworkers to watch. Enjoy all of your projects. Keep on posting them.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate it. I'll keep on making them. lol.
Working with little ones is always fun
Its great. We have s ton of fun!
She is so cute.
Love this! Going to have to look at the other Halloween video now.
I just found your channel this morning and immediately subscribed. Father / daughter in the shop is awesome. Hayley has good presence on the camera and knows what she is doing.
Just a couple of tiny thoughts. When applying the spar urethane, gloves and a mask are a good idea. Even with water based. We want Haley’s lungs going strong for another hundred years. And gloves just make cleanup easier.
Another thought for her … pony tail!!! But not all girls like those.
And…. She is a perfect candidate for Jonathan Katz Moses’ kid sized shop apron.
Keep up the great work and please take my comments in the helpful way I intended. Not criticizing. Just offering my thoughts.
Absolutely adorable! Thanks!
That's awesome
Loved the pumpkin video! Haley is the coolest ever. Dad and daughter videos rock! Keep up the excellent work, guys.
Thanks Ron. This was a fun one!
great job Hayley Pumpkin, your Dad needs you supervising in the shop more often, his woodworking is improving because of you. Happy Halloween
I know right! She makes me work harder. lol.
You two are priceless. Great dad!!!
Great job, I’ll bet that little girl will love that she got to help
Love it, you both did a great job!🎃
You’re daughter is very talented
Shes a great helper and as I type I'm having a candy break lol. nice jobs guys
Candy Breaks are very important in building your teams morale. lol.
Very cool idea! Love seeing kiddos getting into building! New subscriber.
This is so cute! And I just love Hayley ❤ also, I haven't been making funny noises during my glue ups, and so many things make more sense now 🤣
muito legal
Absolutely the best video I've watched in week! Thank you!!!!
Awesome! Thank you. It was sooo fun making this.
Great project, guys!!
Thanks! We're really liking this one.
Great Build, Just had a son and looking forward to doing this kinda stuff with him.
Congratulations. You're going to have a ton of fun doing things like this.
Great video!!
Thank You!
Nice project for your young apprentice.
She's enjoying it. Stuff like this is fun to make.
Love that your daughter helps! Btw, did you consider battery changes? Maybe use Velcro on the battery box so you can pull it out or mount it on the back. What do You think? Great job!
Great idea!!
Grizzeled.
I know. Thats the best!
Great! Greetings from Germany.
Thank You. We love it.
good thing daddy's got a wood shop. he's gonna need a bigger bat! hahaha, she's adorable dude!
Thank You. I'm starting on that bat. LOL
I liked and Subbed.
Awesome! Welcome to the channel.
💯💯💯💯👍👏👏👏👏
Giovanni!!! Thank You.
How did you print the pumpkin in peices like that on 8x11 paper? Great video just came across you and will be doing this project with my daughter thanks for the idea!
There's an option to print it on multiple pages. I believe its called poster. You can print it with marks that allow you to align it together.
How do you know it's a "he"? Very nicely done.
Look out Jeff, you're creating a monster. Hayley is going to take over your channel. Oh did you get my message about 3D printers?
I'd be OK if she wants to take over. Id be a happy guy. I did get your message, I just havent had a lot of time to dive in to the details. I'll try to this weekend. Thanks my friend.
@@homebuiltshop Cool just wanted to make sure. I figured you were busy. See you Wednesday on your live stream.
