Great explanation! I had misunderstood the settings, and always had FFB 1 set with differing force levels for every game that I've played. 3 giving the most road feel is great to know, and I'm looking forward to tinkering some more, and seeing if 3 will give better results on drift sims.
Thank you. I personally think FFB2 with Force 2-3 is ideal for drift. FFB3 and ForceMax is great in GT racing and F1. In the end, get the feel and keep the settings feels most satisfying to you.
Great video! I used to have a g29 and I tried driving in fh5 but it wasn’t very realistic, I recently bought a t248 and I tried your setting and it really look like a simulation game!

My wheel doesnt get recognized by forza 5 and im using the t248 on pc. I downloaded and updated latest firmware, and still nothing. It says ´´This wheel profile is incompatible wiht your currently connected wheel.´´ And i cant bind anything

Forza horizon 4 is the only peaceful game existing currently and I want to play it with thrustmaster t248 wheel, but I have no idea about it's Settings
It’s pretty much the same settings but overall Forza Horizon 4 is not so good with wheel support. ☹️
Try same settings on wheel and see if it helps. Let me know if still not good.

@@rkgamingpoint leave game settings at default and play with wheel settings, FFB, Force power and so on. I suggest go with FFB 1 with Force power 1 and 900 degree rotation (not auto)

My car slips when i speed up and goes out of control. What to do??
Turn on traction control. Check your tuning, if it’s a drift setting, it would be a bit hard to handle.
Can someone help me.I cant go full lock 900° it just stop at about 840° to 850° i cant go 900° also i dont have the wheel rotation in game setting
Please select rotation manually from your wheel settings. If it doesn’t work, please update your wheel firmware through PC.
i was changed the rotation to 900 degree in the firmware and update the latest firmware and still didn't work

I had the same issue. Please download and update latest firmware. Test your wheel with it and ensure it is all working.

I did and I didn’t like it. It’s not very good with wheel imo. I recommend you play FH5 instead.

Bro my wheel creaks when my car is standing and i steer to the leftin forza , it a new wheel, did you have the same Problem at the begin?
Not really... Try to reduce your FFB and Force. It will creak since using hybrid system and still have gears and belt in it. But, higher the FFB and Force, higher the noise. Hope that helps! But, if you find serious noises, better check warranty.

I prefer FFB2 with Force 2
My problem is my wheel doesn't have feed back and it doesn't make move or vibrate at all, I am on pc can someone please help
Sorry to hear that. Please try to update latest firmware from Thrustmaster official website. Then test your wheel in their application.
It doesnt matter what i do i am still bad at it but thx anyway 💪🏻
Choose one setting and stick with it. You will get better with some practice. Happy sim-racing 😊

for some reason i can only steer a maximum of 270 degrees on my t248 on Forza and on other games its working fine does some body perhaps know what is going on?
Please check both wheel and game settings and ensure it’s set to 900 degree

your wheels are rotating at the same time as the wheel?
If you turn wheel 900 degrees starting from left full lock to right full lock, in game you stop at 900 degrees?
because I have exactly same wheel T248-P, same settings but my tyres in game stops at 10-11 at clock clockwise so 680-720 degrees instead of 900.

It works full 900 degrees. Try to manually select 900 degrees on the wheel dash and make sure it is same in the game settings too. If you still have this issue try to update the firmware connecting your wheel to PC or Laptop and download latest firmware from thrustmaster official website.

Dirt rally looks ok but now on every car. Not every car matches my wheel rotation. And assetto competizione looks ok but same thing some cars I can turn less than 600, some less than 700, 800 etc.

Hey, when I press the mode button it only shows “Pc/ps” etc. What can I do about it?
Hey, first you click on mode button and then use up and down d-pad to toggle between different options. Then use left and right d-pad to choose desired preset. I hope this helps.

@Andrea Tablet turn down all of it, vibration, FFB, dampers, all feedback in settings and on wheel set FFB 1 with level 1. It should feel very very light.
I currently have a tmx pro that is like 3 or 4 years old and the clamp on it is broken. I am thinking about getting this wheel is it worth it? I can get it for £255
I'm sorry to hear that. I myself had TMX Pro before this, and yes, it is worth the upgrade. 248 is more accurate and responsive.
@@ThunderboltMY I got it today and its amazing the only 2 issues I have is that the power supply plug is pretty loose and sometimes falls about when moving but that's not that big of a deal. The second is that the steering screen stays on until unplugged also what is the difference between the PC mode and on xbox since if it's on PC the buttons dont work on xbox

1. The cables you can tuck under the wheel base.
2. PC mode is for computers only. So, you can play on both Xbox and PC with the same wheel.

Usually default game settings are optimal and all you need a bit of practice but if you’re having difficult time playing do let me know and I will see what I can do to help you.

@@Gaming_zone131 secret tip: if you play enough hours on games default settings, you’ll be good at it. However, I personally recommend to go with 25% of FFB and power settings when you start any new game and gradually increase the force but don’t go 100%
When you drift your wheel isn't matching up with the car. Turn off the assists.

Hi, have you tried to use my settings? If yes, let’s move on to another possible issue.
1. Your car (in game) are poorly tuned for grip, avoid community built modifications and do it manually and making a fast and solid grip track car and you will not skid.
2. Settings, I assume you’re new with wheel. If yes, I suggest you should turn ON the traction, ABS and stability controls. This should help you a lot and set wheel on simulation.

@@josephus7 Using a controller for driving is consistently straightforward. Picture this: You can execute a full 900-degree turn by simply nudging the stick to the left or right and return it to the center by releasing the stick. In contrast, with a wheel, you need to turn it precisely throughout its range to replicate the same actions as on a controller. I strongly recommend keeping the traction and stability controls on, unless you want to drift. Also, there’s no harm in assigning the handbrake to the clutch pedal. Just exercise patience, and you’ll quickly gain mastery over your car’s controls. Remember, practice is paramount in the world of sim racing. Best of luck!

Vibration can be adjusted in the game settings.

FH4 is not really great with wheel support. I suggest you play FH5.

I have a custom-built racing rig. I mount it on with bolts. The rest is just plug and play.

what about setting in forza horizon 4 its not the same like the layout for example the ffb scale is show 0.5 or 1.0 but in fh4 it show the number and can you show the t248 driver setting Thank You❤❤❤❤

You can do it 2 ways, from the wheel itself and from the game advanced settings.

@yungwood Actually, I did show in this video. You just need to select FFB profiles and their strength right off the wheel. Sorry, I can't make a video at the moment since I'm overseas.
These Settings are Okay. But when you Really have Fun with your T248 in Forza Horizon 5. You must go in the Thrustmaster Control Center. And set Spring and Dampher to Zero. The Car Wobbles anymore. And Drifting feels much better. Driving and Drifting only works Good in my Opinion with 270 Degrees. I made all Drift Zones with 3 Stars with this Wheel. FFB1 Force 5-6. Racing FFB 3 Force 4-6.

@@BananaSmoothie22 I actually use the default settings with wheel settings as FFB2 and Force level 2. It works great. If it feels heavy try to reduce force to 1 or even bring FFB at 1.
