As my car was a track car in the past my Airbag light has always been on as mine are removed. I believe the only thing you need to do though is wire in an occupancy sensor for the passenger seat 😄
Very nice! Plan on getting these as well for my roadster. Is there any difference in how high/low you sit? The standard seats in the roadster are too high for me, being 6'4.
I’d say that they sit quite similar to the standard seats maybe a little lower, I’m 6 ft and I have about 2-3 inches from the roof. I do have my seat quite upright though so I’m sure you could get more out of it if it was slightly more leaned 😊
I’m not going to sugarcoat it I’m a big guy 😅 I’m a 40-42 inch waist and about 19 stone, I’ve always struggled with bucket seats and never found one I could honestly say was a keeper! These Recaro ABE’s are without a doubt the best seats I’ve sat in, nothing else comes close, my next video is going to be a 1 month follow up on how I’ve found the seats and brackets so far 😊
@@LapDeleted I’m planning to get a set of ABE’s soon and I’m also on the larger side at 6’4 260lbs 38-40 waist. If you don’t mind me asking how tall are you and are you still enjoying them?
@@Klasmid1337 so I suppose my question would be what car will you be putting the ABE in and does anyone else drive it? For myself I can honestly say they are the best most comfortable seats I’ve had and I’ll never sell them 😂 I am done with seat purchases as I really don’t think it’ll get any better! If you are puttting these in a Z4 and it’s only yourself driving it, I would advise mounting them solidly to the floor, being 6’4 in a Z4 you will need that extra bit of headroom. If you are getting these for another car that’s bigger than the Z4 then these will be perfect for you! I don’t know how to explain it but they don’t feel aftermarket they feel like a factory seat!
@@Klasmid1337from a width perspective you should be all good, my buddy brought back an A90 from work and the headroom is similar to the Z4. If no one else is driving it I’d advise solid mount to the floor. You’ll get 0 flex and decent amount of headroom ☺️
Does the car throw up any check lights with the seats in? Looking at replacing the seats in my E86 Z4 also, they are fully electric and heated, so wondering if I may run into issues with electrical problems ?
For me I already have an Airbag light on for my steering wheel, if I had standard wheel you will need a cheap eBay seat occupancy emulator. That’s all that’s needed for no codes 😊
So there’s no way to avoid the airbag light once you decide to go with custom seats?

Can you still use your seat belt with these?
Unfortunately not with the supplied seat mounts, the only brackets I know of that can retain the OEM receptacle is the brackets from Brey Krause

@@LapDeleted it’s going in a a90 Supra. The seats fit in the car I’ve seen a few people run them. I’m worried about me fitting in the seat.
