The gold standard for fighting fixed blades by which all fixed blades are measured. Took the throne in the 20th century and has yet to be defeated. The wheel. Sliced bread. The Cold Steel Master Tanto.
Bro you ain't lying. It feels so good in the hand. The balance, the proper blade heft, the grip the kraton gives. It feels like one hit from it will leave an attackers arm or hand dangling off the bone.
Hi Tomas, if you can, wrap some para cord through the sheath to give it some extra support. I have the Magnum Tanto, i love it but my sheath is very strong, the openings aren't as large. I have para cord running through mine. 😋
love this blade , the grinds are awesome i bought this and the tai pan both at the same time both in 3v. gonna grab the gurka kukri in 3v as well then together with my o tanto and wakizashi that's me done. thanks for sharing. would love to be able to spin it like you but will probably end up needing stitches. 🤣🤣
Nice vid I have a Master Tonto when they were made in Japan came with a very nice leather sheath It's an almost perfect knive and beautiful Thanx again for the vid I like your energy
Oooh great question I love the comfort and versatility of the cold steel But if I only needed a designated tool for quickly taking out a threat the HZ6 is the way to go Overall Master tanto is more robust but Hz6 is a better martial blade I hope that helps 😅
A classic, but I always felt the pommel should have been more rounded so one could stab with the thumb on it, or thrust with the pommel in the palm of the hand, as practiced in Japanese martial arts. Great at randomly stabbing car hoods though.

Cold steels secure-ex sheaths apparently dull the edges because the compound its made of has glass in it. I probably would have gotten one if I hadn't seen tens of threads about their sheaths. It doesn't seem like cold steel cares about these complaints at all.
German steel, US steel, Japan steel, next is Taipan or is they call it Taiwan fantastic steel producers and they will be coveted over the Chinese when they take over.... Welcome to the decline of Western industrial capabilities

100% Agreed⚔️

@AD-yt8ik Perfect for processing meats at your next BBQ ;) hahahah
Glad you love it as much as I do!!
The Master Tanto is a work of art 👍
Absolutely! 🔥
A classic for shore. Thanks, man. Nice piece in the collection.
Thanks for watching!👏🏽👏🏽
mines still rides my 6' going on over 20'plus years with no regrets
Agreed. Sheaths and clips are just as important as blade geometry. What good is a great knife with a bad sheath. Great knife. Great review!
Thank you Brother!!

I have para cord running through mine. 😋
Thank you for the tip! I will certainly try that!! 💪🏽🔥

I got the blackout 3v a while ago. Seriously considering getting regular 3v and vg10 versions too. Killer knives!
The knife looks great!!!
I had a master tanto back in the late 80's that came with a really nice leather sheath. I should've kept it.😢
Awww nooooo
Ive always wanted one. Ill probably buy one. I might have it custom wrapped in the traditional way
That would be beautiful!
Although the handle is pretty thick already- I would love to see a kobun tanto wrapped!!

Perfect, All, for SHTF, you will be well prepared, and, very, very happy with your choices.
I must admit that I have hundreds of Cold Steel Fixed and Pocket folders/blades but the one constant is the Master Tanto CPM 3V
Nice vid I have a Master Tonto when they were made in Japan came with a very nice leather sheath It's an almost perfect knive and beautiful Thanx again for the vid I like your energy
Right on! Legendary blade for sure!
Appreciate you watching, the kind words, and supporting the channel👊🏽⚔️
What do you prefer? The crkt hz6 or this? I know this is way more robust but the hz6 is designed better imo for self defense.
Oooh great question
I love the comfort and versatility of the cold steel
But if I only needed a designated tool for quickly taking out a threat the HZ6 is the way to go
Overall Master tanto is more robust but Hz6 is a better martial blade
I hope that helps 😅

Never know when you need to open a car like a can of beans😂🔥🔪
There is a click if you put the knife into the sheath, you only need to push it a little bit more
Could someone please give me a link to the custom sheath? 🥺

@@tacticaltavern could you say the name of the sheath, because the page comes up empty, although there are “similar items” that look right
I had one and it got stolen😭 Loved that knife.
Nooooo!!!!
Great blade Bro🤜🏼🤛🏼
Agreed! Thanks for watching Mathew!
It's an awesome fixed blade! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
Where did you get your sheeth clip?

I tell you what the extra investment in the custom sheath was so worth it!
10/10 highly recommend - the blade rocks
I always try to pull knives out of them so that the edge doesn't grind on it. Never had any noticeable dulling that way.
Are u ex military? Love way u seem very comfortable and a master of all areas of the blade…
Thank you very much!🙏🏽
Owned the original,brass guard,and,butt,leather sheathe,a solid,beautiful knife,perfect for EDC,sadly,i lost it.
You may have realised but it pommel not pummel. No hate I'm really tempted to get this
Great point!
Beautiful knife!
Made in Taiwan😮
