Hi, I have access to a laser printer at my university and want to use it to laser engrave denim. If we use materials outside of what is provided by the university, we must provide a MDMS sheet for the material we bring in. Do you have any idea how to find MDMS sheets for denim material? Thanks in advance!

How are you getting it white like that.. Mine just burns.. It comes out brown and can't see it.. And it weakens the denim, where it tears real easy.

I have a 40 watt CO2 laser and these are the settings I use: 8.3% power, 400 mm/s speed. Do LOTS of testing on scrap pieces. Different colors will need speed/power adjustments. Also, make sure that the material is 100% cotton, as any synthetic blend will just burn.

@@matchstickdesignco Thank you. At what DPI ? I have a 60 watts and looking to try this out. My first tests were obviously too 'hot' although faster : 750mm/s, 30%, 254 dpi. The weave would be weakened and separate at denser areas (solid engrave) Other areas (thin lines) would be good, yet not 'white'.
