This was a great interview. I will be seeing JAWS on the big screen this weekend, so I'll be looking out for Alex Kintner in the marching band. I thought I knew a lot of trivia about the movie, but I never knew he was in the marching band scene. I was hoping you would ask him to say his lines from the movie. Thanks for the video.

@@dianestephan8108 I did the same thing after this conversation! You can definitely see him, now that you know. His hair stands out from the other kids!

@@marythegirlygirl There were two boys in the front of the band playing a drum. One in a red shirt the other in a light colored shirt. Was "Alex" the boy in the light colored shirt? Also, did you check out other locations from the movie? I would love to do that someday. By the way, I think the post he showed you on his phone was from The Daily Jaws UA-cam channel. It was posted on their Community Page!

@@dianestephan8108 I thought he was the one in the lighter shirt. I did release Part 1 of my 2-part Jaws location video on Sunday. Part 2 will be released this weekend! Hope you enjoy!

WOW... so much work and researched in this video. Thank you! It's like lining up 3 cherries in your slot machine when you grabbed a bit actor in a classic movie. EXCELLENT! His horrifying death precedes the famous dolly in zoom out shot. I wanted to hear everything he's saying cos I've not heard it said ANYWHERE ELSE. I'm sure you know this get a lav mic with wind protection please.
    Keep scoring Mary..
Spielberg shot everything with Roy Scheider and Dreyfuss as much as possible before Robert Shaw's arrival from London. Steven gathered the crew and cautioned them to watch their language and loose American behaviour. Strict professional decorum have to be followed. When Robert Shaw arrived first day on set and spotted the prop guy and roared " HEY BILLY YOU SONAFABITCH!" And Billy said " HEY BOBBY HOW THE FUCK ARE YA" Steven Spielberg and the cast and crew jaws dropped!! Robert Shaw and Billy had worked together on The Sting and are drinking buddies
    * The famous Capt Quint's Indianapolis speech you see today was a re shoot. The 1st time it was filmed Shaw showed up drunk and blew the scene. Shaw realised his unprofessionalism apologised to everyone and begged Steven to give him another chance

Thank you! Believe it or not I have a mic with wind protection but the wind was too strong for it! Can’t imagine how it would have sounded without it! Thanks for sharing all that info!
