Friday the 13th Part VI - Real Life Filming Location of Camp Crystal Lake / Camp Forest Green
Come along with me on an in depth tour of the real life Camp Daniel Morgan that portrayed Camp Crystal Lake / Camp Forest Green in the 1986 classic, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, starring one of my favorite Jasons, C.J. Graham! Featuring a guest appearance by @wjd329 as Jason Vorhees himself! Hope you enjoy the video!
This video focuses solely on the camp, and contains some bonus footage. If you want to see ALL the locations from this movie including the camp without the bonus footage, check out my full location video here:
ua-cam.com/video/Ukgaoxw5Uxw/v-deo.html
About the Film:
Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives starred Thom Mathews, Jennifer Cooke, David Kagen, and C.J. Graham. It is a sequel to Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985) and the sixth installment in the Friday the 13th franchise, being the last one to feature Tommy Jarvis (Mathews) as the protagonist. Continuing from the events of the previous film, the plot follows Tommy after he accidentally resurrects mass murderer Jason Voorhees (Graham) while attempting to destroy his body to ensure he will not return. While Jason returns to Crystal Lake for another killing spree, Tommy must overcome his fear of the masked killer that has haunted him for years and find a way to stop him once and for all.
In keeping with the series' tradition, the role of Jason was given to a stuntman, Dan Bradley. Bradley, however, was replaced shortly thereafter by C. J. Graham. After the first day of filming, producer Frank Mancuso Jr. decided that he disliked Bradley's appearance onscreen as Jason. Although the scenes that Bradley filmed-in which Jason kills the paintball playing executives-were kept in the completed picture, the rest of the scenes were performed by C.J. Graham. C. J. Graham was a restaurant manager and former soldier. As part of a stage show put on at the restaurant, a magician would hypnotize audience members and place them in a scenario during which they encountered Jason Voorhees; Graham, who stood 6'3 and weighed 250 lbs., was asked to play Jason for the scenario. Jason Lives' special effects coordinator, Martin Becker, was in the audience for one such show, and recommended Graham to Mancuso and director directed by Tom McLoughlin to portray Jason and the rest, as they say, is history.

I worked in Radio in the 80s. He was performing in town. He called in to arrange a ride from the Airport. I hung up on him 3 times thinking it was a prank. When my boss called to ask me if weird al had called, because they could not find him at the airport. I said no. Al never told on me.

If you ever meet him, you should pay him back the 3 dimes or quarters he spent on the calls. 😃

So cool to hear him answer questions like this. Was a fan of Dr. Demento on the radio back in the day so I watched an episode of 20/20 on ABC in 1980 to see a segment on him and there was this young guy in his studio performing Another One Rides the Bus with an accordian, which I thought was hilarious. That was 44 years ago! Wow.
