Hi there! I am a free spirited individual trying my best to enjoy all the good things life it has to offer! Travel and movies have both been passions of mine for years. It seemed only natural to combine travel with visiting locations where my favorite movies and television shows were filmed back in 2019.
I am relatively new to all of this, but hope I am able to make you smile and/or laugh by sharing a few of my experiences. :)

A Day Trip From Boston to Salem
Переглядів 1612 місяці тому
Come along with me on a day trip from Boston to Salem via the Salem Ferry. The day trip affords about 5 hours to explore Salem and learn a bit about the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 and 1693. While 5 hours was definitely not enough time to visit all the attractions and fully immerse yourself in the experience, it was a nice way to be introduced to the city. You can then decide if it's a place you...

Stay tuned for my Salem Day Trip video still to come! Enjoy! #salem #salemmassachusetts #...

Nice video. Chicago native here.
Where is that park where the nazis parade? I have only been to place near Nelson funeral home. Where is the place on route 12?
@@danielcwik7832 the park with the bridge is Jackson Park, just south of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. I have a separate video dedicated to that location: ua-cam.com/video/wZ3_nAWiHOo/v-deo.htmlsi=NWNm2OnNIXJN6pTu The spot on Route 12 was at the intersection of 12 and Illinois 176 in Wauconda.
@ is that intersection near bp or Walgreens near 176? Thanks for sharing
@ I’m not sure. I didn’t go there as it’s a busy road and I thought would have been difficult to capture in a photo in a recognizable way.
Thank you for the great video. A lot of memories growing up when that movie came out. Phil’s beach slide/platform was a crippler lol
Looks like it! So much playground equipment back in those days looked potentially crippling! Wouldn't hold up to today's standards! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Wonderful video! Thank you for sharing.
Love the video & I think The mall that was in Blue Island that they drove threw😉
@@dominiquedeville3292 it was the Dixie Square Mall in Harvey, Illinois that was vacant at the time and has since been demolished. Now it’s just a vacant piece of land with grass growing up through the pavement with no indication of its former glory.
@ Yes it was Harvey & thanks
Great video! The only neighborhood that has changed to any extent is around the music store, the whole area around 47th is pretty shabby now, with many buildings boarded up. The rest doesn't change, Crook County building is the same, the jail is the same and the bridges don't move so much anymore!
@@MsGrandunion glad you enjoyed it! 😎

Along with 1941, my favorite movie of all-time. And Young Frankenstein, to be totally truthful.
I was a background extra in the scene where she’s at the counter 😎
What a cool experience!! 😊
Some significant gentrification since 1980... . Was in Little Italy years ago with some friends when we came across a bunch of motor homes parked at the curb - and noticed this trashed out Dodge Monoco missing its front windshield. Curious about what was going on, we hung out until this guy who looked like Dan Aykroyd walked by. Now we were really intrigued by what was happening, and next saw the real Dan Aykroyd walking with Belushi’s stunt double. As this as during their SNL days, we were completely blown away and didn’t realize what we were witnessing was the making of the BB movie until it came out the following year.
@@jomama01 oh my gosh, what an experience!

Excellent video, but I was hoping to see Milwaukee in your locations…the (long since finished) 794 bridge that was used as a launching ramp…it was brilliant!
I grew up in the neighborhood close to the scene at :08 sec. We called that bridge the "jack knife" because of the way it looked when it opened. This view is from 95th Street looking south along the Calumet River.
