I liked the adventure series a lot, one of the best ADV adventure series on youtube I think.
    Keep up the good work

Hey, Tom. I'm sad that that is the end of the adventure series, can't wait for the next one. Good inspiration for getting a bunch together and going through southern Africa. Anyways, really enjoyed the vids, the only channel which I would habitually put the quality as high as my bandwidth could handle for each episode! All the best, hope the leg heals quickly. Intro was tops.

Enjoyed every minute of the 17 episodes. Pretty jealous of what you have in the garage and what great Adventure country Australia is! ;) - hope the foot is good soon and excited to see which bike is the next.

I would just like to say this has been the only series on UA-cam in 8 years that has kept me coming back asking "When is the next episode?!"
Seriously, this looked so awesome and I really enjoyed the entire series!
    Until next time

Wow 2 hours with that pain
You are a real man Tom!
When I broke my wrist, the 30 min of waiting on the ambulance was the sickest pain I've ever had
I wish you a good convalescence man
The adventure trip series was great
Keep up the good videos and much love since over 2 years from germany :)

Wow what a great series , I lost the front end of a Ktm 530 over a jump in the bush , fractured four bones in my foot , had to ride 5 km back to camp and then didn't go to hospital for 20+ hours it was stupid to do but now I have scars , plates and screws and a cracked helmet to remember it by , for the fun I have riding it was totally worth it !

Nice one Tom it's good to hear you're not thinking of packing it all in and calling it quits. I can't wait for the next adventure and to see the new bike/bikes for the 2017 season. I hope your leg heals up well so you can get back out on the bike asap.

I did about 4500 km in two weeks on my WR250R. I have the same Safari tank - works great as long as the second fuel pump is primed. It's a great little adventure bike! Make sure you get a windshield too.

I personally LOVED your adventure videos. While I do also like the normal vlogs, the adventure stuff is more unique and fun to what other youtubers do. I gotta say, your observation of animals is absolutely superb, "piggies!!!! come here piggies!!!" xD
I also enjoyed the intro to the videos, where every vlog I would be sitting there hoping to see another clip that was present in the intro. By the end of it all, in the intro, i would go "yep, saw that, yep that too...."
    Overall, really liked this series!

Trip was awesome man, glad you videoed it and shared it. Hope the foot/leg heals well for you. I think the AT would suit those long trips to nowhere really well. Reliability, somewhat light weight for the class, made for actual offroading. I was kind of hoping you kept the ute and stuck a giant blower up through the hood on it and tucked drag wheels in the rear tubs. Would have been a perfect commuter.

I completely understand you feeling the loss of your BMW.
But that black Blade is a beauty mate. Having had an 09 Blade for a while, the lack of rider modes in a way I found nice. Just you and the clutch, throttle, and brakes. Great linear power delivery I found, very sure footed around the twisties. Lovely handling bike, it ain't no slouch either. A really well sorted sportsbike. Often overlooked for more glamorous European bikes. Sorry about your injury looks and sounds (bones sticking out) nasty man. Get well soon.

Two bikes will come out in th enext year or so, one more likely than the other: the Yamaha Tenere 700 (T7) and the KTM 790 adventure (or whatever it will be called). Either one should be lighter than the Africa Twin. I'm betting on these two bikes, from Yamaha and KTM, as the next yard stick for adventure riding. Just a thought.

Not anymore Tom, in 1985 ( was then 34) I rode big K's on a brand new $2500 Honda XL600R,at that time the closest to an adventure bike, was indeed a capable bike but back then would have gladly swapped the 146kg beast for my 112kg 2014 500exc and 20kg lighter than a WR250R!.The choice of adventure bikes now is huge but when you get to being an old geyser like me,you'll probably find light is best.
500 exc will handle 5000k plus.If you have'nt already, refer to Aussie Adam Riemann of Motology films.."Motonomad 1 and Motonomad 2"
great 500 exc adventure films.Enjoy your movies Tom,your loyal mates proved to be your best support on your Cape York adventure. ...excellent.

Thanx for some very entertaining adventures. I was considering a KTM for my next bike, but after seeing at least four failed adventures due to mechanical shortcomings on 690's and 1190 I feel the Japanese brands may deliver better reliability. Since I have no previous KTM experience, maybe you can share an opinion or two on the subject.

have you had a look at a BMW F800GS? right in between a heavy adventure bike and a dual sport and an awesome bike to ride

+Outdoors Victoria I did 2 days off road training on one. Not really my style. Too heavy and slow. If it's gonna be heavy it better at least be fast.

Hi Tom, you have inspired myself & mates to plan for cape trip 2025. Can I ask what time of year would recommend?

Made me laugh, I swapped out my first rocker arm at 6,000 miles, and plan to probably do so every 6k, that's definately the weak link on the LC4! Forums are full of rocker arm photos and swaps on that bike, so I'm just being preventive with the swap. Since you first said the 690 was going, and had engine troubles, I knew that's what it was!

If you had to pick the most RELIABLE bike you've ever owned or could own, what would it be? By reliable I mean wouldn't leave you on side of road. Thanks. Great videos!!
