I went with a 512 storage, 16 ram, 15" Air over the 14" Pro due to a few reasons. For me the thinner, lighter body with the larger screen is worth the reduced performance and limited ports. The M2 is plenty fast for what I use it for (Excel, R Studio, Xcode, VMware + standard computer stuff) and I rarely use ports anyways.
Nice review. I had a similar reaction when I looked at/touched it. Switching from my 13" Air to the 15" was a real struggle. I went back and forth for days before finally making the purchase and I love it. Battery life is better - I am not a power user so I can get almost three days of use. The screen (like that of the 13") is beautiful and, of course, larger. The extra real estate on the body makes for better typing. It handles Photoshop, Lightroom, and Sketchup smoothly and quickly. AND it does not have a fan. I would highly recommend the 15" MacBook Air. I also suggest running Sonoma on it.
Great video - per usual!! I absolutely love your channel man! I bought the 15” with 16GB RAM and the 512GB SSD in Space Gray. I consider myself very difficult to please, and a very demanding “Pro User.” After using a 16” M1 Pro MacBook Pro (16GB, 512GB) as my daily driver… This 15” M2 Air is the perfect Mac for me. It’s so satisfying to reach over with one hand… snatch it up off the couch or my bed… and throw it in my lap. I couldn’t do this as easily with the 16” Pro, and the difference always puts a smile on my face. The thin and light build of the Air is what I like most about it. Yes, the 16” M1 Pro has a more powerful chip on paper, and it has fans, but the M2 Air with the 16/512 feels just as powerful in person. I have not run into any “Beach balls,” it’s lightning fast, the 15.3” screen is excellent, and I like it so much that I sold my 16” M1 Pro because I don’t need it for anything anymore. If anyone is torn between a new 15” M2 Air with 16/512 ($1,699), or a refurbished 14” or 16” M1 Pro or M2 Pro… Here’s my recommendation: #1 - 15” M2 Air #2 - 16” M1 Pro MacBook Pro #3 - 14” M1 Pro MacBook Pro - It’s super thin and light - I like it more than the heavier Pro’s (Especially the tiny, but fat 14) - Don’t be worried about an upgraded M2 (16/512) being slow… because it’s NOT! It’s insanely powerful - The 15” M2 Air’s screen is excellent - The speakers are excellent - The keyboard on the Air is better than the black one on the Pro A $1,699 15” M2 Air with 16/512 is the perfect laptop for 99% of the “power users” on the planet in 2023/2024. Gotta agree with you on this my friend. The switch from a pc laptop to base 15in air has been quite impressive. Silence is so needed. I also completely agree that the base model is the only model that makes real sense monetarily. Thanks for the recommendation and keeping it simple.
I upgraded to the base model (15 inch m2) from my MacBook Pro 2015 and I cannot be any happier. The upgrade is so big. The 15 inch is lighter in weight, has a bigger screen than the 13 MacBook Pro and it’s capable of way more. Doesn’t get warm. Even when using Lightroom.
OMG! I also want to upgrade from Macbook Pro 13, I was wondering how do you rate the Lightroom performance with 8 GB ram? I do edit photos, raw format mainly in Lightroom, ocasionally on Photoshop. Does it lag too much (while using clone stamp, for example)? How does it feel the noise/ai correction on 8GB? I'm torn! I use my pc for daily editing but would like a laptop to do it on the go (not professional). Thanks
@@msbluesky Hey! There’s no lag what-so-ever, it’s super quick and the laptop doesn’t get warm. I use the program quite heavily, but haven’t met a situation that the laptop cannot deal with properly yet. It was worth the upgrade for me!
@@msbluesky not m2 but I had the MPB 13 m1 base and it lagged pretty often in Lightroom Classic..especially with healing tool use. I exchanged it for a 16gb and it was much better but still will start to slow down a little bit under heavier longer editing sessions especially if there’s regular use of heal tool or lots of use of selection tools.
I agree with you 100%. I have a 14"Pro, but since I purchased the 15"air, it's been my go to laptop every day. I bought the basic silver version and its perfect.
Careful with the 14" pro. Mine has broken for a second time (first time was the entire logic board breaking, now the screen has broken (not from dropping or anything else), and I heard from the repair guys that this is incredibly normal for the 14". I'm going to sell it once repaired and get the 15" base model air.
The Mrs bought this a few weeks ago fully specced up i might add and at a crazy price. That out of the way what a machine, why you would need more is beyond me as it flies through workloads at a tremendous rate. The screen size is way more useful than the 13 or 14 especially in this compact package.A SD reader would have been nice but that’s life. Great video buddy.
Appreciate your confirmation of what I found after 6 weeks with an M2 MBA 13” ($900 in January) and 2 weeks with an M2 MBA 15” ($1000 in early February). Yes it’s a slab compared with the “just grab me” 13”, but … … where I really found that big screen such a boon was when I Airplayed (actually Sidecar) to it from my M2 Pro Mini on a 35” ultrawide (3440x1440) monitor. When I moved over an Excel worksheet to the 13” it was like looking through a submarine porthole. Even at the highest res the 13” could muster. The 15” is more comparable to the LG 35” monitor, and when I bring a worksheet over, with slightly lower res than Sidecar’s recommended “default” the size is nearly 1:1. I’ve found my new ultralite take-anywhere laptop. It’s a little Laurel & Hardy when I put my iPad Mini next to it, but still … they’re both super easy to pick up and work on.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one to likes the larger screen because I'm having more issues reading text than I used to! Getting old SUCKS! I'm seriously thinking about upgrading from my 13 inch M1 Macbook Air to the 15...it's sure pretty!
I bought this for $1000 while trading in the 13" version for $700 from Best Buy, today. I know the new version might be announced a couple weeks but to upgrade for $300 felt like a good deal.
I disagree somewhat about moving to a MacBook Pro 14 if you’re upgrading the MacBook Air 15’s memory and storage just because you’re moving into that price range. The Air 15’s resolution is higher than the Pro 14 at their highest native resolutions (which by the way is lower than the advertised max resolution for both of them; you need a 3rd party tool is get the highest advertised resolutions). And that higher resolution is easier for viewing text on the Air 15 because of the larger screen. If screen *size* (and text viewing) is top of your priorities, the 15 air (even after costly memory/storage upgrade) is a better choice than the Pro 14 even given the nicer HDR, ProMotion, and brightness stats on the Pro 14. I’ve not upgraded from my Air M1 (that I’ve loved) yet, but I’m leaning toward the 15 air. That screen real estate along with a light (very balanced) form factor is extremely hard to beat.
It depends on what you will use your MacBook for. I compared both the Air and the Pro, and I opted for the Pro (I‘m a photographer). You definitely see a huge difference in image quality, which I need for my work. For students or others working with a lot of text, I agree that the Air is the way to go.
It is totally opposite : MBA15 has a native resolution of screen 2880-by-1864 vs MBP14 has a 3024-by-1964. Anyway, you dont't wanna use them on their native resolution without scaling because it makes everything small and unusable.
@@Xandirishe Yes, I should have said scaled resolution, which *is* higher on the Air 15 (at the highest setting). I’ve tested them side by side. The Pro 14in M2 has higher resolution overall but you can’t get to that in MacOS display settings. On my Air M1 13in I’ve used a tool to get to the higher resolutions. It’s definitely helpful sometimes but yes text can get too tiny. The tool allows for 2 resolutions higher than the highest scaled resolution in the Mac’s settings. I find the 2nd highest useful. The highest (which is what Apple advertises but you can’t get to in Apple’s display settings) results in text just too tiny for my eyes.
I have access to a great student discount to a 16gb M3 MBP but I am planning to buy an M2 Air 15" because the screen is not flickering and all the other benefits
Just bought this and so far, so good. I have an awesome desktop and iPad Pro but wanted a laptop. Never had a Mac before so I need to learn the system.
Gary, love the video! I’m looking into getting one of the Macs, the only concern is about the 8gb of non upgradable ram. The main use is for work, but I don’t develop, nor compile videos, so it is just web tools that i use.
Just got one and I think I made the right choice. I wish I had splurged to 512, but I am only using it for word processing, email, web browsing, and consuming content with an iCloud account of 2TB. I think I will be fine. Love the machine though. Love your videos as well. Always amazing real life advice.
I've waited years for a 15 " Air and when I finally held it in hands and used it for a week I realized it's too big (for me). I returned it and bought the 13" model and am so happy with it's portability.
I was worried about it being too big until I got to the Apple Store. If you’re considering this laptop and you’re upgrading from an old MacBook, you’re in for a treat. Because of the small bezels, the 15” m2 macbook is 1.5cm longer and 1cm deeper than the old white plastic 13.3” macbook I had in college. It’s almost literally the same size, but about 1/3rd as thick. The youtubers saying to be mindful of the footprint if you do work at a coffee shop table are talking nonsense, this laptop is the perfect size. This computer can handle everything I throw at it, I’m playing upscaled ps2 and ps3 games, editing video, playing with generative fill in photoshop, running windows flawlessly in a VM. Unless you are a literal career professional 3D modeler or film editor, this laptop is perfect.
Hey man! Well done on buying the Mac, I’m considering getting the same specs as you. I’m a uni student studying Computer Science, I absolutely loved the screen and design. I’ll be upgrading from an Alienware Lmaoo. I’ve been a windows user all my life until I went to uni and found out that a gaming laptop is useless for it. My 2022 Alienware is so fuckin heavy and it dies in like 3 hours max. I’m leaning towards getting this over the 14” inch pro mainly due to the screen and lightness. My uses are mainly note taking, uni work, Media consumption and software development. You feel 16gb/512gb would be good? Or atleast better than the Alienware? Thanks man
@@sarthakjha7400for sure. I’d say that a MacBook Air 15 with 16gb of ram and 512 ssd is the perfect laptop for ur everyday needs, planning on buying it just waiting for the price to drop a bit. I’m on the same page with u, I got a razer blade 15 with 16ram and 512ssd and without a battery (removed it cause it bloated). Went through college thinking I wish I had purchased a MacBook instead lol. Leave the gaming for later
It is on my wish list :) I bought the base M1 Macbook Air last November and have been loving it, but I agree with the screen size, it's a little tough some times when I working on class work on the 13.3 display.

@@4l3kisMy last macbook was an air from 2013... Only used mac minis and ipads since. But I really want to get the M2 variant laptop. I am leaning a bit more towards the 13 for the weight and portability... but I am a fan of bigger screens.
@@BTGOldShow To me it depends on what you want to do while on the road. because while at home, it is easier to plug in a larger display, nowadays they are cheaper, so 13 inch and 15 inch won't make a big difference (if you choose to have big screen), but as I am using the 13 inch MacBook Air and lightroom+Final Cut Pro on the go, I really wish I can have a larger screen. I even thought about the 16 inch MacBook Pro even though I really want a lightweight device. Also some thoughts, for some use, maybe an iPad with sidecar can also works.
I just bought one. I am mainly a photographer, however branching into videography and my iMac couldn’t cope with 4K, so got this and it is absolutely great with DaVinci and 4K. I’m no creator so my videos are very basic as I learn, but it does cery well. Photoshop, Lightroom both work flawlessly. The only drawback is my external hard drive so I am going to have to buy some fast SSDs to match it. The plethora of naysayers of this machine on UA-cam are just snobs to having the £3,699 Macbook Pro M2 Max. This does what you need it to do! Love it.
8:19 yea the battery life is insane. I remember looking at it on my M1 Air and it said 3% remaining and I didn't even sweat it. Still ran for another 25 minutes before I closed it at 1%, then put in my bag, drove home, opened it again with it still powered on and plugged it in to charge. (This was at the end of my day so thats why I was already going home, not just to charge lol)
I have a 16" M1 Pro MacBook Pro, and I'm thinking of sidegrading to the M3 MacBook Air I assume is coming out next year. I don't edit videos, I don't game, so the better Pro chips are wasted on my use. I do travel, so while the better speakers, mics, and display on the Pro are appreciated, the weight isn't. I tinker with Xcode so would get it with 24GB of RAM, and either 1TB or 2TB of storage.
I don't stand this thing that ALL the reviewers seem to say, to discourage upgrades. It's something like "If you're going to start upgrading the RAM or storage, the cost increases very quickly, so you might as well upgrade to the MacBook Pro. But hold on, Daddy, that's gonna drop you right back to that unacceptable 8GB RAM and 256 GB SSD. I'm assuming that the pro-ness of the machine doesn't do anything to make that configuration less absurd. (MORE absurd, if anything!) So then you're going to have to consider the upgrade all over again, and I suppose the same tech reviewer is going to say "If you're going to increase the price that much, you might as well buy the ." See where I'm going with this? I don't know why, but it seems that the vast majority of tech reviewers are discouraging any upgrades. This makes no sense to me. I say, buy the machine you think you need (and can afford, obviously) based on the processors. Then upgrade as much as is reasonable given your budget and requirements. No more of this "don't bother upgrading" stuff the reviewers are telling you! Love your videos. Love your style. Almost always agree with your recommendations, except for that nonsense "don't upgrade" advice.
Slight correction: I looked and found that the Mac Pro line has finally (!!!) upgraded its baseline ssd to 512 gb. Still, that leaves BARELY enough SSD, and way too little RAM.
I am planning to visit a store soon to get a feel and see if I can agree with you about the many points you made. Great job with the video and props for saying that the reason people buy the MBA is for the low price(instead of upgrading the specs and spending an additional $400) By the way that Midnight color is 🔥
I have a 2015 macbook air with a pretty sad dual core i5. Since Apple no longer supports this, I just put Windows 10 on it to use it for web browsing and a security camera server. It actually feels pretty 'snappy'. I will say will be our last Mac computer since Apple claims to be a 'green' company but discontinues support after 5-7 years to force consumers to buy the latest and greatest. I am aware there are 'workarounds' to put the latest Mac OS on it and from what I've seen, older Intel based Macs run JUST FINE with it. There is no other reason for Apple not supporting this hardware, other than greed.
My work gives me a Lenovo laptop and I straight up refuse to use it unless absolutely required. I just cannot stand the fact that it sounds like a jet engine and feels like a blast furnace just idling on desktop. I don't understand.
It's a bigger screen so if you need the larger screen it's awesome. I have both the 15" M2 MBA and the 13" M1 MBA. I rarely use my 13" after getting this 15", just allows for so much more productivity due to the larger screen.
You at 3:33 is insanely true because all of my laptops that I have ever had have been 16 inch and heavy as all hell. My entire life that is how all of my laptops have been and any of my relatives/friends' laptops have been. Apple dropped the 15inch Air and whenever I pick it up now I lose my mind cause it just shatters my entire reality. How tf this thing so dag gon light??
Can you please do a video on whether one should purchase AppleCare with their MacBook or not? I just got the 15 in M2 Air, but I'm not sure how long it can last, and how effective is AppleCare (or AppleCare+)
Basically, the only redeeming quality of 15" M2 Air is form factor. Pricing with slow SSD & 8 GB of RAM is atrocity. Though it would have been better with old wedge shape....4:4 - that's whole point; there's NO cooling system. No vacuum chambers, no graphene radiators to move heat laterally (however small) to screen back chassis. We'll see how 15" M3 is screwed.
The best MacBook is actually the one you already own and are presently using even if it is an older model. My first and only MacBook to date is a base model M1 MacBook Air which I just purchased this year. I chose this over the M2 model due to mainly to the substantial price difference. I intend to use and keep it and have no plans of upgrading as long as it is in working order and Apple continues to provide software support.
Hey! Just watched your video about M1 air and confused since it's only 5 months old of a video and according to your statement there, it was your standard recommendation for a computer :) evaluating them from a price/performance perspective, which one would you suggest for no more than daily tasks like emails, meetings and reading/writing stuff? Thx
I would like to see a video comparison between the 13 inch and the 15 inch MacBook Air. How do they stack up? Because I recently purchased the 13 inch MacBook Air for $1199 off of Best Buy, and that is the 512gb model. So I definitely would like to see a comparison of the 13 and 15 inch models. Thanks and keep up the great work!!!
I have the 8GB M1 Air and I'm unable to slow this machine down at all (except for Google chrome, so badly coded!). I'm what you would consider a "power"-user.
I have the 8GB M1 Air as well. I occasionally edit a video or two and do some photo editing. I have to say that the M1 with 8gb handles it flawlessly. Does it swap? Yes, but I've yet to see this computer slow down.
I would prefer the bigger screen but the base 15 is almost the same price as a 13 MBA with 16gb upgrade. Should I get the 16gb or get the 15 base model (Do light and moderate work mostly spreadsheets etc)?
I can't believe you're recommending it with 8 gigabytes of ram. It's like the single cause of every beach, ball, and issue that you get from having more than 10 Chrome tabs open or even editing a PDF. No way 8 GB.
I get your points but I'm going to stick with my 13" MBA M2... I have a huge external monitor in case I need the real estate but otherwise, I appreciate a small, compact form factor. Great video!
Can agree, had a 14 in pro model, gave it to my wife and purchase the 14in air and currently loving it. Not worried about the storage, have a nas for that lol
I think that if you're ok buying the base model for browsing and watching content, it makes sense. If you need to bump it up to 16GBs of RAM and 512 SSD, you're better of buying the base model 14 inch MBP. The XDR display alone is worth the difference at that point, plus A LOT more connectivity.
Slightly trembles? Unless you brutally pound the keys as you type, a “slight tremble” is not an indicator of the degree of rigidity. Every computer chassis is going to have SOME flexibility. But when compared to most other PCs on the market, the 15” MacBook Air is about as rigid as anything out there. Any slight “trembling” is moot and insignificant. You also have to consider the actual structure (square, rectangle, etc), material quality (anodized, annealed, etc) and its construction (sandwiched, spot structured, beamed, etc) to determine the level of flexibility - or lack thereof. For all intensive purposes, MacBook chassis are rigid, even if you pound them with your fist! Don’t confuse the above structural references with abuse. 😂
@@driehoogachter5729 ok but don’t miss the point. It’s not like comparing paper to steel. Both chassis are rigid. But a “slight tremble” in the 15” Air does not mean it’s not rigid, which was the point of the commentator.
I am NOT buying this Mac. As much as I love it, it came a year too late. If I buy it now , it will just be blown away by the M3 Macs coming in as early as a few months from now! Am I wrong? I already bought the 2023 Mac mini M2 Pro - I am good for now. Thanks, but no thanks!
Go for the MacBook Pro 14! You‘ll get more for the money. This is what I did last year. The new processors coming are great, but offer little performance increase. Now, it‘s your choice. 😉
Wow, your really talking this MacBook up. Im debating on trading my 13 inch MBA for this just because I know Id like the size of it but at the same time I dont want the base modell. Itll at least have to have 512GB storage and 16GB ram
I love mine and it is my primary device. I did upgrade the SSD to 512 but that was it. And that's well worth it to me... 256 is just too small in today's world.
I should? Nope. However, I do have cousins who are tall and team Apple. They would be the ideal customers. They are not tech savvy but would love it for entertainment purposes and align with their iPhone. Display, sound system, and battery life are major selling points. The LG gram 16-inch 2022 is still a solid competitor from the PC side.
The base 15 inch is typically $400 usd more than the m1 air and actually slower in many cases because of the ssd. You’d have to spend another $200 to upgrade the ssd which then makes it $600 bucks more than the m1 machine which is a huge price difference. The m1 air still remains the best value laptop on the market.
not slower for day to day use like web browing, emails, office work. This SSD thing is over rated. Yes it is slow if you are doing video editing work but if you are doing that, get pro anyways.
@@Drew1218s it doesnt really slow down like windows machines do. It just refreshes again due to lack of RAM. Agreed at this price point, the 16gb should be a standard now but again their SOC is also way better than others.
Nah, I’m good. Anything I’d rather do on Apple software than Windows is better on an iPad than on a laptop, and anything else, it’s better on my $600 14-inch Dell from 2019. Glad you like it, but if it costs more than my iPad and Dell combined and does about half the things well that I use them for - nah, not for me.
OK, so is it worth me trading in the 13 inch model to get the 15? I travel for work also and can see the bigger screen would be a huge benefit. I really wish they had this option out originally.
just a heads up, the 13" is PERFECT for flights and fitting on tray tables. I feel like an orangutan using my 16" MBP on a flight so I would assume the 15" may be similar, just something to consider.
Bro, that’s not true just like your opinion, this one is mine. Yes, a person can find a good laptop for less than $1300. The difference is, that other will not be apple and no apple garden. I’m an apple user too with different products and not going to propagate saying this is an inexpensive thing when is not, plus the 2nd you add the proper amount of memory, a person will soon be “close” to scratching the belly of a $2000 neighbor. Now, for those that love with a passion insulting or bullying people online just because they may offer a different opinion, well right back at you….lol. That said, I’m definitely interested in MB-Air and I really, really like it, but it is just too expensive for just the basic little amount of memory period.
I went with a 512 storage, 16 ram, 15" Air over the 14" Pro due to a few reasons. For me the thinner, lighter body with the larger screen is worth the reduced performance and limited ports.
I'm watching this on the 15in MacBook Air, I exchanged the 13.6in for this and it was the best decision I've made in a while. love your videos!
Appreciate your confirmation of what I found after 6 weeks with an M2 MBA 13” ($900 in January) and 2 weeks with an M2 MBA 15” ($1000 in early February). Yes it’s a slab compared with the “just grab me” 13”, but …
… where I really found that big screen such a boon was when I Airplayed (actually Sidecar) to it from my M2 Pro Mini on a 35” ultrawide (3440x1440) monitor.
I agree on fanless. It’s so annoying hearing and feeling hot air being blown out on other laptops.
Yep! 15 in has been a DREAM while traveling. No longer stuck in my hotel room. Been using it by the pool, the mall, the patio, everywhere!
Damn can’t you just go anywhere without taking a laptop with you?
I traded in my 13" M1 Air for the 15" M2 Air. No regrets!
How much $$ did you get for that trade? Curious! Congrats on getting the new one.
Gary, love the video! I’m looking into getting one of the Macs, the only concern is about the 8gb of non upgradable ram. The main use is for work, but I don’t develop, nor compile videos, so it is just web tools that i use.
Ttally agree with everything you've said. I love my 15" MacBook Air (but I upgraded to 16 and 1 TB to future proof it)
Just got one and I think I made the right choice.
I returned it and bought the 13" model and am so happy with it's portability.
dear apple, if my laptop can connect to 2 type c displays i should be able to use it, 2 displays is not a pro feature.
Would you say it’s worth upgrading from the 2019 Intel MacBook Air?
Base model or upgraded ram and storage?
How do you play ps games?
@@paradiseb5950 I mentioned it in an earlier reply - I upgraded to 16gb ram and 512gb for my particular needs.
Thanks man

Just bought one. Maxed it out, Don't you judge me!
Hi Daddy, I just bought one!
It is on my wish list :) I bought the base M1 Macbook Air last November and have been loving it, but I agree with the screen size, it's a little tough some times when I working on class work on the 13.3 display.

Hi what Is your opinion about that model?
I’m still trying to decide between your model or Pro 13” with the same configuration 8/512

It’s not as light as I was expecting, but I’m coming from a 2015 12” MacBook
In the EU countries, base 15 inch Air starts at $1850 and just the 512gb upgrade is $2100 💀Why Apple?
Nope. Finally bought my very first MacBook Sunday. Just went with the 16😢 should of save some money tho
1199 base price + VAT - in Poland 23% - tarrifs - and voila! - you end up with....

That includes tax, correct me I’m wrong USA doesn’t pay VAT at time of purchase.
I've never heard my fans spin-up on my 14" Pro. 256GB SSD is kind of small especially if you want a lot of applications.
I struggled between a 13” at $1300 Canadian and a 15” at $1750 Canadian and finally bought the 15 and love it.
Perfect timing with this video as I am debating whether I want the 13 or 15 inch Macbook airs
on the same boat here
But if youve used the 13 inch macbooks you know how portable and amazing they are
portable and lightweight or screen size and heavier

Great Review! Brough up all the most important points and didnt search for quote on quote flaws like other reviewers.
You always make me wish I was in the Apple Ecosystem.... Maybe I will try it.
Thanks for the great info! I have one of these in my cart at Best Buy (Open Box) and wanted to watch this one more time before it get it!
I just bought the 15 air base model for $999, $300 off. Im loving it so far!
Great job with the video and props for saying that the reason people buy the MBA is for the low price(instead of upgrading the specs and spending an additional $400) By the way that Midnight color is 🔥
Don't buy it ok keep dreaming just stay whst you have on
Im torn... Im just getting into photography and want the 15 inch but dont know if the specs will be enough.
This dude is the dad of Apple commercials.
I'd get one but I'm currently using the 14" Pro with M1, so it's not needed right now. But if I didn't have my pro, I would get the 15" Air probably.
Which color should I get silver or space grey?
My work gives me a Lenovo laptop and I straight up refuse to use it unless absolutely required. I just cannot stand the fact that it sounds like a jet engine and feels like a blast furnace just idling on desktop. I don't understand.
But would you recommend it over the 13” M1 MacBook Air that you highly recommend?
Thanks for the super content! Which charger do you recommend, the 35W or 70W power adapter?
I bought it and it is simply the best laptop I have ever had🎉🎉
The best MacBook is actually the one you already own and are presently using even if it is an older model. My first and only MacBook to date is a base model M1 MacBook Air which I just purchased this year. I chose this over the M2 model due to mainly to the substantial price difference. I intend to use and keep it and have no plans of upgrading as long as it is in working order and Apple continues to provide software support.
Not even sure what the hell your comment means.
Just bit the bullet and bought it after 8 years with a desktop. Looking to downsize and this fits the bill. Great review.
Don't buy it ok there all laying the MacBook is really a thousand Dollars
Would you recommend this 15inch MacBook Air as the first MacBook for a windows user?
I have the same question. I am looking forward to having my first macbook

Is 16GB worth the extra $200 for regular (ie, no video editing) users
I have the 8GB M1 Air and I'm unable to slow this machine down at all (except for Google chrome, so badly coded!). I'm what you would consider a "power"-user.
I have the 8GB M1 Air as well. I occasionally edit a video or two and do some photo editing. I have to say that the M1 with 8gb handles it flawlessly. Does it swap? Yes, but I've yet to see this computer slow down.
is this the New MacBook Air computer M2 15 inch?
I’d say the current M2 Air series are excellent machines but underspecced in terms of storage, and in reality memory for the price point in the UK.
Can't wait for the M3 version of it.
I would prefer the bigger screen but the base 15 is almost the same price as a 13 MBA with 16gb upgrade. Should I get the 16gb or get the 15 base model (Do light and moderate work mostly spreadsheets etc)?
please get the 13 in with 16GB ram instead. You can always get an external monitor later on but you can't upgrade the ram:
I can't believe you're recommending it with 8 gigabytes of ram. It's like the single cause of every beach, ball, and issue that you get from having more than 10 Chrome tabs open or even editing a PDF. No way 8 GB.
I get your points but I'm going to stick with my 13" MBA M2... I have a huge external monitor in case I need the real estate but otherwise, I appreciate a small, compact form factor.
Great video!
Can agree, had a 14 in pro model, gave it to my wife and purchase the 14in air and currently loving it. Not worried about the storage, have a nas for that lol

I am going to buy it today the 15 inches M2 with 16GB Ram and 1 Tb storage along with 36 months of apple care which will be almost 2 lakhs Rupees.
You are really think that 8 Go of ram will be good for about 5 years of use considering that my usage will be essentially the basic?
You choose the MBA 15 for the form factor. So adding memory and storage still makes sense. The MBP is clunky and heavy.
the best video and I I am going with M2 Air 15 space grey.
But does the keyboard scratches the display?!
It’s not rigid. The chassis slightly trembles when typing. Same thing for the 13” M2 Air, but not for the M1 Air or the Pro’s.
@@housepianist It’s a clear difference between the M2s and the other MacBooks. I tried them all side by side.
@@driehoogachter5729 ok but don’t miss the point. It’s not like comparing paper to steel. Both chassis are rigid. But a “slight tremble” in the 15” Air does not mean it’s not rigid, which was the point of the commentator.

@Sloimer Have you ever read consumers surveys? Most people generally want products that are height appropriate. This includes bigger screens.
The base 15 inch is typically $400 usd more than the m1 air and actually slower in many cases because of the ssd.
