I’m a tow truck driver and have been doing this since 2008. Early on it was hard to take photos since camera phones weren’t really a thing and this is an older episode so it was around that time I’m sure. For the last 12 years I have photos saved to my iCloud account of every car I’ve towed. I take 10-15 photos of every car I tow before, during, and after. I haven’t had a valid damage claim or lost a case where the company has been sued for anything I’ve towed since I’ve had a camera phone (iPhone 4). I personally wheel lift and dolly every single car and I tow 1200 a year minimum in a college town for parking where they’re parked illegally. The owner of the tow company here is lying about half the stuff he’s saying but I think the defendant didn’t do the damage. 99% of the cars are beat to hell under the bumpers from parking blocks and the damage by the wheel well is from is not caused by a tow truck. I know what the company owner is saying about Go Jacks and his testimony there is valid. Personally I don’t use them due to possibility of throwing my back out pushing cars around. Wheel lift and dollies are personally quicker and safer. I know most people here in the comments will just say all tow truck drivers are scam artists and these plaintiff’s were in the right for suing. Unless you actually know how to tow cars it’s hard to actually understand the process. I’d recommend people look into private property rights and respect them when it comes to parking. If you leave your car and walk off the property and it gets towed that’s nothing but your own fault. People can have their opinions but there’s consequences to your actions. It’s no different than someone parking in your driveway and walking away. I don’t completely agree with the tow companies that use spotters but there’s nothing illegal about it either in most states. If you didn’t do anything wrong then your car wouldn’t have been towed. Personally I only tow when cars have no parking permits or property managers call me directly but there’s different ways it can all be done.
The people that want to “beat your ass” over an everyday, adult, event….are the same people that will fabricate a story to get revenge and make a few bucks.
Defendant's witness said she called the tow company at 10:20, and the receipts the plaintiffs provided showed they completed their transaction in the bank 4 minutes later. She ran into the pist office at 1038
I have seen people cheat all the time and park where they are not supposed to park and when they get towed they complained. Parasites. Opportunist.
The lady is definitely a spotter and probably gets a percentage of the tow company I think they walked off and then went to the post office so the so the toll is technically legal but the tow truck driver did do the little bit of the cosmetic damage but definitely didn't wreck the front-wheel drive
Good thing, the tow truck driver had a Latina on his side or apparently he would have lost the case according to the judge over and over again.😅
I wonder if I've just gotten really lucky. I've had my car towed 3 times because the dealership installed a recalled part wrong (multiple times). Nothing bad ever happened to my car (knock on wood).
plaintiff is nasty if you threaten harm grow up act like an adult
