- This is my salvage 2013 RS5 that I DAILY DRIVE. I wanted to walk you guys through the costs of this car and the maintenance associated. A lot of people look at German cars as being expensive and unreliable, but I'm here to show you, that you can rag on them while being cost effective!

Holy crap man. Under 10k for a b8.5 rs5? WOW. That's an absolute steal...salvage or not. Minor pdr + a respray and that thing will look brand new. Wonderful pickup. I've been eyeing one for a long time and may go the salvage route as well if I can locate one that checks off enough boxes.

After a long hiatus I decided to start making videos again! FCP is definitely worth checking out if you have a euro car, saves a ton of money

I'm right now looking for one RS5 as a daily. I have lots of tools and all the passion to work on like I do with my other cars. Planning to get a 2015 with 113k kms. Clean tittle. But first thing I would do is change every single fluid. I have a Q5 with the 3.2 and every 15k kms I do CRC spray intake cleaning and it keeps the valves very clean. Keep posting videos man!
I just bought a 2013 RS5 about 2 weeks ago, I’ve been daily driving it and I can’t get enough of it. I picked it up for about $19k USD and it has almost 100k miles. It’s been really well maintained as the owner was a mechanic and I’ll be maintaining it very thoroughly too. Good luck with your search, you will not regret it when you find one!

Hey man, just watched a ton of your old vids of the rs5 build and you did a great job.
I got a 2018 Camaro SS as a daily but always considered getting a 2013-15 RS5 as a daily. Just wondering since you’ve had both, you think the RS5 is much better cause of the AWD and overall ease of driving? It’s a tough decision and I’m hesitant to change cause of German cars are usually much higher in maintenance.
I’ve test drove a couple B8.5 RS5s and couldn’t tell whether I liked it more or not because the Maro has way more torque down low.
Also, saw it on a shirt you wore in one of your old vids Go Green.
If maintenance cost is your concern with the B8.5 RS5 then I'd stay away. 5k just for the front rotors and brakes. Would not daily this car. I have one and it's used as a weekend car to keep the maintenance costs down.
Did you get the xpipe? It is gonna sounds crazy with stock and xpipe combo

i would NEVER buy a used car like this from someone that did the maintenance themself. neither would a serious buyer that isn't prioritizing bargain bin prices. resale isn't the biggest thing, but people should know these won't hold value as well if they're doing the maintenance
