- this is my truck, i made it as a request for someone who wanted to hear the exhaust. but pretty slow 0-60 would have been alot better with some traction but overall alot better than stock. enjoy
fyi the term "straight piped" means no mufflers, cats, resonators, x or h pipes nothin, just headers back
only a muffler on this truck.
id say 6.7 sec 0-60 is a respectable time for a truck even if it didnt have wheel spin. nice truck

The ram stock is probably just as fast maybe even faster.
in fact the ram does a recorded 6.6. but this is an older ford and did great. and I love the sound of the supercharger

My tuned ecoboost will own that 5.4. I'm pushing 20psi and will do a 5.8 sec 0-60. Nice looking truck tho

I had a 2013 FX4 Ecoboost and tuned it. Still wasn't impressed. A Whipple SC on a 5.4 3v TRUCK is still pretty sick. I ended up trading in my FX4 for brand new 4.0 V6 Tacoma could not be happier. Most of my buddies have gone through 2 or 3 F150's, too many Chevs to count, and one guy is just obsessed with Ram's.. but they all say they wish they had a Tacoma. Mine has a 6 inch lift on 37's. Locked. And full armour. I have NEVER had an issue with my Tacoma. It's the little (BIG) truck that could. I abuse the fuck outta of her and she just keeps on chuggin' along. Its the best over land/ crawl rig. My fuel consumption is atrocious though lmao. I don't care. I love my rig.

shout out to randy rodriguez (not too sure how to tag him) saying this small v8, by the looks of the engine bay, unless he had to move everything around bc of the supercharger, will put anywhere near 475hp to the crank much less the tires. and the edge programmer not a "chip" is a watch monitor which doesn't do shit performance wise will not add 22hp. stock 5.4 tritons make about 240 to the wheels (if this even is a 5.4 v8) this truck would be lucky to see 400+ to the wheels. no offense to the owner.
dyno was 395hp to the wheels on the 10psi pulley, custom tunes were done obviously and yes it is a 5.4 and no mods were done to fit the whipple in the engine bay.
400 mild. The 5.4s from 05+ and 300 crank. And the heads were said to flow just as much as the 4 valves in stock form so a super charger could easily put these into the 500 range(crank). Plus I believe with cam phasers and no upgraded camshaft these trucks would be perfect and very efficient.
And no offense but these trucks don't need shift kits, the stock trans will out shift any manual driver and and pull into gear hard enough to snap your neck with just a simple re tune. Should've kept your Ford man.
With that whipple supercharger you're trucks bumps up to 475hp and that edge chip adds about 22 hp and 30 ft pounds or tourqe damn that's pretty good and I'm about to get one also with an edge chip too and a new intake with some headers and a new exhaust so subscribe to me

With some better tires (traction wise) I'd say 6.1 would be likely.

Just did 3 runs 0-60 in my totally stock except bigger tires and leveling kit 2004 F150 Supercab 5.4L 4x4 in 2wd. 7.7 (big wheel spin), 7.3 (no wheel spin) and 7.5. (little wheel peel) So if I got this right, you bought a $5-6000.00 supercharger and got less than a second difference from 0-60? And your truck is 2wd, should be quicker than mine to begin with... am I missing something here besides paying 6 grand for a zzzzzzzzzz sound?

this is my old channel, the truck had the 10psi pulley, was no where near turned up. 10psi was the spot i felt it was the safest without having issues. btw the truck is a fx4, not a 2wd

preston121068 good for you. Point being this charger could have run a bunch more boost with a new pulley. There is no comparison to stock.
1ofakind Pretty sure I just made a comparison. Paid a bunch of money for less than a second increased time from 0-60. I mean, to me anyways, seems fairly pointless. Could have gotten "noisy" timing gears, got the same sound as a super charger and saved a but ton of money.
Did you up the injectors? Fuel pressure regulator? ECM adjustments? Anything?Because 10 PSI should give much better than what you've got. I mean seriously, MCM just did a 10PSI comparison of turbo vs super charger on Mazda Miada's and both forms of added air made huge differences.
preston121068 there is not much to compare. The stock 5.4s are gutless. The Whipple supercharger can be tuned for way more with some supporting mods, What I do with my money quiet frankly is non or your business but since you seem to care oh so much. It's not practical, instead bought a 2014 ram 1500 sport and a 2015 ram 3500 Cummins. This video was for people to see what it was all about, not so someone can whine over how much it cost lol

I had them prefessionally changed out and had no issues, get to them before 80,000k and you should be fine.
