No kidding. Ford just makes it annoying to search for parts by reusing names on their vehicles!
It’s better

Boosted my 2023 F-150 1 month after I got it in February with the same whipple, everything done properly to ensure it won't explode... so here's some advice. Do not drive this thing on stock cats. Or your truck will go boom 100%. I've seen other people install these things on the same truck and the supercharger will cook the stock cats and it will come out back into the engine. Also change out the stock cast headers or else it will be making weird exhaust noises while driving like a motorcycle cooling down on a cold day. Also, with no traction bars you will eventually snap your diff.

I'm not a Ford guy, especially lately with their quality issues, but damnnnnnnn that's pretty impressive, and sweet they used the 2 door 'base' work truck to make a crazy truck.
It's more of a consistency issue. I have 2 Broncos, a 2021 and a 2023, and neither have issues... but that doesn't mean much until you hear that the 2021 has 80k miles on it with no issues.
No 8 foot bed is probably for driveshaft length issues. Also depending on what kit they used for lowering it I believe there is something you have to trim when it's lowered. Just do the drop shackles in the rear if you ever do this package
Nope, it's the sticker package lol
Doesn't make any sense, if I can get this package in a 5.5 foot bed crew cab f150, which has a the longer drive shaft
It's DEFINITELY for frame twist lol. That poor rear end of the ladder is barely holding on LMAO.
It’s the graphic package. The length can be trimmed for the 6.5 and super crew but not a 8 foot bed single cab.
I kind of want to see a long box get sideways now :D
The reality is that is a truck that they could still sell for 40k and make a profit on.... I still appreciate that you can get a regular cab truck from the factory like this. Ugh... OG Ford Lightning vibes and I'm here for it. I always drooled when they went by.
I actually just bought a 23' lx f-150 specifically for this fp700 package. To be honest this review has me second guessing my decision. The reviews I've read online before buying the truck, specifically from motortrend and theautopian, said the auto transmission runs smoothly. As well as it's acceleration. So maybe the past journalists really did a number on it?
At least that's what I'm hoping. I'm still really looking forward to the install from the dealer, in about a month. And of course I'm going to take this machine to the drag strip.
You should be able to tune the 10 spd to shift better with the added power.
Not a truck guy at all, but this is pretty rad. Appreciate the short bed and no cab. Lowering it a little more and adding some modifications for the clunks, braking, and steering would make this awesome
Comparing the 1999 SVT MSRP adjusted for inflation, this is a great deal and gets you a lot more horsepower. Even the base 2023 XL 5.O liter has more horsepower than the 1999 SVT Lightening and we all thought that it was an awesome truck when it arrived. Now there's a screaming deal.
You can't compare just horsepower across generations. Gotta compare horsepower per ton.

So I pulled the trigger on one of these today. I got the 2023 XL Single Cab in Atlas Blue Metallic paint. It has the chrome package as well as the 3.31 rear and with E-locker. It is just the base FP700 package. The chrome package is probably the only thing i would have changed. But due to the fact that this was the last single cab that they had left on the lot that fit the specs for this package i didnt much of a choice and i can always get that taken changed pretty easily later on if i want. After all was said and done it cost me $61K all in. I should be able to pick it up Wed. or Thurs. afternoon. I had to drive about an hour from my house to the dealer. Most of the dealers around me didnt have any single cabs with the correct specs in stock. Even the ones that had one either werent willing or didnt seem to enthusiastic about it when asked about it. From what i understand, for a dealership to even be allowed to build this package, they have to send a tech(s) to get certified by ford to install it. So it seems there are only certain dealerships who have decided to actually do what is required to be able to offer this package. Which seems in line with what i was finding when i searched google for where to buy this package. It would mostly bring up dealerships in other states. I think there was one in Ohio, Florida and Alabama. The salesman was telling me theyve been having people come in from out of state to get these things. In fact he said right before i got there they had just taken care of a guy who was here from Tennessee who purchased one. I live in Texas near the Houston area by the way.
Which dealership did you go to? I live in San Antonio, it wouldn’t be too much of a drive to go to the Houston area to place an order for one of these.

I agree, Lightning has evolved.
Single cab F150s with the coyote and the 10R80 are becoming synonymous with being scary quick for a street driven vehicle. There's a couple of them running around my area with Roush setup and its stupid what cars they will give a run for their money.
If I had the money, I would be all over this. Warranty on the whole deal is icing on the cake. I always joked if you wanted something that would out run and out handle a hellcat, buy a GT PP2 and put the Roush/FP kit on it (a lot of dealer can bundle it/install with the loan) and you will be out under the cost of a hellcat. This is clearly Ford throwing the gauntlet down to bring street trucks like the SVT Lighting and Syclone back
As a ford fan since a kid my dad always had the f150 trucks not race trucks or none like that but they are great work horses. I’m 25 and I’m excited that I’m my lifetime we’re getting something exciting for the truck scene since the ford lightning
They can't use the Lightning name anymore so since Chevy made the Silverado SS and Ram made the Ram RT after the srt10, might as well make an F150 GT. Throw the new dash in with that new heads up display, the center console shifter, rear sliding window and the 5.0 tuned to make 500hp like the darkhorse with 4x4 just to make launches more fun.
