Sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you mean?
An olive/garlic (manual) press is about $10...you go crushing my olives by using a knife improperly (might as well use a tenderizer hammer), and I'm evicting you from my kitchen faster than you can say Manzanilla!

As Alton Brown would say, "Nobody needs an additional UNItasker in the house", so no, don't go around recommending others to get tools that serve less purposes than using tools they already have in the house, which I bet every household would already have a kitchen knife for use.
