yup we have struggled on a couple in this gauge area. Personally I think the blocks are milled slightly too deep to give a proper seal for the o-ring. Can try tightening up different amounts. I have also had good results by using small delrin (or plastic) spacers underneath the o-ring to bring the o-ring up slightly. I guess using two stacked o rings would also work well. Just before you get caried along in some confusion Gary, the Molykote 111 is a specific silicone grease that is used in industries where nitrile rubber seals are to be protected during either assembly or where they move during use. This is not the moly grease you would use when lubricating a spring from a spring powered airgun or commonly used in the automotive industry in say a CV Joint (Molebdenum Dislufide). As you implied, you have used silicone grease or silicone oil for years already. You are doing the right thing. The Molykote is a trade name and expensive too. Another good video Richard. Keep it up!
@@scrupledoople Hi, no we would never use this on springs. A common issue we see is people using silicone grease on metal to metal movement. I always use the proper Molykote branded packs as I have came across petroleum based lubes in unbranded PCP o-ring grease before.
I was thinking of buying one of these but this is the second video showing faulty gun the other one has pellets dropping out the magazine and jamming gun.Owner being told to charge o rings😂 £1000 for gun you have to start taking apart 😮 don't think so

Hi, it generally prolongs the life of them - just good practice.
