Dude I just crashed my jeep, completely totaled it and watching your videos make me miss her so much 😪 Thank you for helping me with the build. It was a beautiful journey.
No way 😭 what happened?
Buy another one.
you can buy mine
I put the cabin air filter in my 99 WJ. FYI, filter heads has the housing and filter for less than 30
Not bad at all! Haha I think I spent like $55 but the seller I bought from sold out
That's not bad, but see the higher prices and cringe. Seen a few other videos, and appreciate you doing these. Got my 1 ton trail forge kit coming and also gonna be putting the gladiator shocks on shortly
Check the blend doors. The blend motor is right underneath the glove compartment you can actually hear it move when you change the climate control from cold to hot, if you don’t hear nothing. The plastic holding the blend door possibly broke on it.
Man!! This video was so useful!! I took apart my ac turbine and the amount of dirt that was in the there was unbelievable and then I realized I don’t have a cabin ac filter.
Apart from the undercarriage obsession (which is awesome how you advice and upgrade them btw) the double din radio is a very good upgrade and he explains it in detail... (reverse sensor ;) shoutout! greatstuff
LOL... Mine is weaker on driver side, too. Probabky longer duct work to get all the way over to driver side, so it will be weaker. Just like in your house. The farthest room has weakest air flow. Great video! Ive been wanting to do this for a while. You have inspired me!!
the ac on one side and heat on the other is blend doors i replaced mine and it worked ac on both sides but i have the dual control and mines a 1999
I did find a rubber grommet missing and one that was not in place on my WJ seems like maybe someone put a heater core and removed heater box on mine.
It's your blend doors. Trust me, that happened to my wife's, and I found an easy way to fix them through the glove box. Otherwise you gotta rip out a lot of stuff under the hood to get to them.
My ac blows we on my 04 I think it might be my blend door cause my car also make this weird sound when I start it sounds like an ejecting cd
Thanks for doing this I really need to do this on my 04
No problem! Honestly for how easy it is to do I would recommend it! especially since it means breathing cleaner air
Same here 😬
Ill be doing this as well
putting one in my sons jeep...thanks for the video
One side less cool at times and while driving it cools better means ur ac refrigerant needs fill up its a bit low trust me it will work
I’ll get it checked out. But I don’t think so because it does blow pretty cold
@@NajarOffroad check it out and let me knw coz i had same issue but its fine now. And soon u will tell me ur happy 😊
I’ve had it checked before and I was having same issue didn’t change
Wj's have a problem with blend door's
I had to have my HVAC core, to my 2002 JW, replaced because it had a really bad leak. And it was expensive, but I was glad to have it done. nice and hot in the winter and cold in the summer. Wish I still had that Jeep.
I think the blend doors for your jeep without the dual climate has one actuator that runs both blend doors where the dual climate has actuator moters on both sides, i think the original factory was plastic might be the driver blend door
I was looking for a guide like this 👍🏻 thank you.
I think there's a blend door above ur radio, and or in the glove box. Mine was just the acuator in gbox, but I would check there in ur model. You've got some great content! I must say I like ur stereo setup recessed like that. Best AM I've seen in a Dub.👍👍
Even with normal use leaves sticks and dirt find their way into the hvac system, build up against the evaporator core and eventually rot it out and cause an a/c leak. The dash and hvac unit has to come out to replace the evap. I pulled the blower motor out of my 2004 and dug tons of gunk out. Since I replaced the evap and installed this kit it’s remained perfectly clean for 8 years. It’s a must have for these Jeeps unless you don’t like a/c and like breathing in air filtered by sticks, leaves, dirt, trash and whatever else finds it’s way down there
Hi I have a 2004 limited edition and no air or heat comes through the front vents. When it rains windows are very foggy and usually won't become clear on unless wiped with something also found that blower motor wiring has been cut by previous owner but is still connected to some wiring so I comes on but not for long...blend door also makes like a ejecting noise. Can help me in way on which direction to go please and thank you
Also just picked up a set of factory gladiator foxes after watching your video
Nice man! They are comfortable!
Thanks for the showing the zip-tie.
You the reason I didn’t buy a new car lol you make me wanna do all you do to your car to mines ❤️
Haha sorry😜
Bro not gonna lie you been a great help g m, have the same Jeep as you and been transforming it into a monster with your help
Sad part is I had worked for dodge for like 5-6 years as a technician and I myself had no clue where the cabin filter was I was about to remove my glove box looking for it sense I had already looked underneath the cowl 😂😂 thanks for saving me some time Bro. Parts are ordered to get mine done ASAP my son and I both have bad allergies..
😂 well I’m glad this was beneficial for you guys! Should definitely help with allergies!
@@NajarOffroad I’m really happy that I came across you on Facebook Jeep WJ group bro and I find your videos here on UA-cam very informational and helpful honestly I had no idea that the type of long arms system you use didn’t use both uppers, so does the one upper mount to the body of your WJ Bro or is it like mine and attach to the top of the long arm?
Also the mount being left on top of the axle has that rubbed on anything?
Also how does the camber and caster get set without the upper control arms from what I can tell with how my system sets up that is really the main purpose of my front uppers are for caster camber setting and to help keep the axle from twisting forward and backwards..
to bad you don’t live in Minnesota I’d enjoy meeting up going wheeling and picking each other’s brains...
you seem like a great guy and know some ins and outs.
My names Axel by the way.
The Driver side blowing hot air is because the driver blend door Actuator is bad you need to locate it and change it out then should work
That’s what I’m hoping it’s not😂 it’s blows cold most of the time I feel like it gets to room temp air when I floor it. Does it matter that I don’t have dual climate control
@@NajarOffroad should not matter my works fine in my 99 jeep but I have the blend door issue where some of the vent are not opening and when I got the blend doors from the parts store it just the wrongs doors even though right part number 🤦♂️
You forgot the cabin air filter link in your video
It’s in the description. That sucks haha did you get the right ones?
@@NajarOffroad have not found them yet
drivers side blend door acuator najar
Can you please make a video about the Jeep WJ 4.0 AC compressor change best budget wise please
Just did this. Easy install.
Bro, I just dropped my WJ off at my mechanic for an AC recharge. I asked him to change out my pollen filter while he's at it, I said I think its located under the glob box or something. He calls me a few hours later stating my jeep doesn't have a pollen filter. I'm like how TF is that possible? A quick google search bring up your video and well I be damned lol. I just ordered it
This is an extremely informative video! I’ve been considering getting a filter, because I’ve been noticing a greenish dust forming around the upper dash vents. My Jeep is an 01, and previously owned by a heavy smoker, so I’m thinking it may have to do with those things. Any thoughts on how to clean the HVAC lines out to maybe remove any more of this material? Should I just bite the bullet and spring for a new set of lines?
You can just do a flush of the system. If there is corrosion on the lines that’s when I would change them
Clean air is mucho importante Mo amigo 👊🏻
Words are UA-cam algorithm booster
Great video
I wonder if I can bootleg these components to the regular 2000 Cherokee
How often should the filter be changed?
Mine blows heat from the floor at all times no matter if it on or off. Only blows cold if I have the AC on. Not a big deal in the winter but kinda strange
super helpful vid thank you bro, where can I buy that filter holder/magazine thing? cant find one anywhere online!
Thank you for the info
Great info bro. Ive been following you for a while and its helped me on fixing my Grand cherokee 2000. My current issue with the air is that on the driver side it doesn’t put out alot of air the vent underneath the radio, puts out air but the one next to it doesnt and the passenger ones dont neither. What do you think it could be?
Thanks brotha! Not sure maybe the airways are clogged with something?
@@NajarOffroad yea bro i checked and theres nothing. I cleaned out the vents, made sure there was nothing like blocking it, and nope still the same. If you have any idea or any suggestions let me know. Idk what else to do because the A/C works fine. But man thank you for all these videos. Keep it up, your very good with what your doing. Very informative. Others ain’t like it 😂. God bless bro
@@robertvera1741 Hey robert I have the same trouble, did you solve it? where are you from?
@@jesusrperezd whats up bro. And no i havent yet. Ive done all the simple things like adding freon, changing the vents. But other than that nothing really. Ive been wanting to go to a air conditioner specialist to see what they say.
And im from florida
What kind of radio screen is that looks clean on the dash
Mine gets moldy, Then they get clogged. I mean it's right in the open.
since you've had this for a while now... How is it working ? I'd think after a few rains+time, it would slow up ... whats ur experience ?
Where did u get that double din radio kit for your WJ
Why you don’t want this wet rainy day/ muffing gets this thing wet , it never dries and you end up blowing moldy air into your Jeep
To prevent the paper from getting wet I use sheets of home air filtration pads put it under the cowl 90 degrees. At least it prevents water being introduced directly on to the filter element.
True story.
Seems like that filter would get wet easily in the rain
Stock wj dont have a cabin filter ? ( I new user of this car :) )
I would love to do this but for some reason my jeep only the two middle vents blow hard the rest of super super weak i have no idea why but i do have the dual climate control system :(
Bro how to clean the air filter cabin
Good stuff
Did u clean the coil from the yrs of not having a filter????
Does it normally throw weak air from the side vents by the windows?
Mine does kind of throw weak air and in the cold it does defrost the windows but then after I get in and drive they get “foggy” again but won’t clean the windows. Idk if that’s just the extreme cold or the normal breath from me inside. Any suggestions? I’m also thinking of installing a filter
mine does throw weak air! Mine usually goes away with defrost after a minute or two
Will dis make heat blow out my vents?
saved me a headache
What if you drive with you window down
I usually do
What if it get wet
Thats what she said @2:46
Low on freon
Nah it’s not
👍👍
Wrong. This will overload blower motor components. Thats why Jeep dosent recommended adding this part. Not worth the damage this will cause.
Love it! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
